Teen weight loss tips!!!!? -

hi, im a 13 year old teenager and yes i am over weight. These christmas hoolidays i am really hoping to shed some fat so does any one have any tips for me thankyou so much an i appreciate all your answers.

Count the calories and workout. Trust me, it will not be easy, but I am assuming you know this already.Do not starve yourself: Starving the body is the same as tricking the body. Starving yourself is a miserable thing to do and when you do start eating again, your body will store more food than ever before, preparing for your next starvation.Workout: If you want to see results, I d advise you to not just eat healthier but to also workout. Counting the calories lost while doing so will be much helpful. If you do not know for sure how much you are losing, make an estimated guess. When guessing, however, I d definitely say do not guess over, also guess under. For say, I think I lost maybe 200 calories, do not guess that you lost 250, think of losing 150 instead. That is a 100 calorie difference. Remember: 3,500 calories = I pound.Healthy: Start replacing ice cream with yogurt or whatever healthy snacks you enjoy. I personally love to eat apples and grapes. If you are concerned on the amount of calories you just ate from the yogurt, check the nutrition information of the back of it and check how much you have eaten. Work those calories off.Drink Water: Water is very good for you in more ways than one and for that reason, I d recommend lots of water. Especially since the calories is a 0. It will make you more full without the hassle of burning anything or gaining anything.Eating soft foods: Soup, mashed potatoes, it doesn t matter.I hope I helped! I am 13 too.

watch what you eat try to stick to about 1500 calories a day as this number has been proven by science over and over again to maintain muscle growth while still being a low enough number to loose fat. The best means of becoming more athletic in look and fit is to use weighs. Women tend to prefer not having big muscles so use small weights with alot of reps to make yourself more slender and athletic. At first you wont see the difference on the scale but you will notice a change in your bodys physique as well as your endurance and confidence.

I wouldn t try to lose too much weight, but I think it s great that you are trying to do this before it all builds up and then you can t even do anything about it. I would just eat healthier foods, less junk, and keep exercising daily. Even walking would help. I have PE every other day and we run miles like once a week (: I m in 7th so that s just how I keep up exercise). You could set whatever goals you want and whatever is right for your body or how much you want to lose. Good luck :]

Some things that you can do: running on the tredmil for about half an hour-1 hour every second night. ALWAYS eat breakfast, have a snack every 3 hours (a small snack like an apple or something like that) make sure that ur portions ar controlled. Oh and another thing try not to eat passed 7:30.. (its ok once an while if u have a sleepover or somehting like that but not every night) Oh and BTW it takes ur body about 2 weeks for it to get fuly into a rutine so keep it up, put ur self on the scale once every week recored (incresse, decess) and also i find that keeping a food diary helps. Hope i could help :P

Hi there, in order to lose weight you ll need to eat small healthy meals 5-6 times a day as well as having a good exercise plan. If you exercise 4-5 times per week for an hour each time, you ll lose a few pounds!

This board is called Diet and Fitness. Which is the answer to your question. Why is that so hard to figure out? Good Diet and Good Fitness = Good Health.

Need to lose weight, the healthy way? -

Okay, I m 13 (turning 14 on saturday) and I m overweight.I need some weight loss tips that actually work. And please don t say anything like get off the computer fatty! or anything please.I m just looking for help. Also I will not use any pills or anything, not things like acai berry or colon cleansers, i want to lose it healthily.A workout regime would be helpful as well, also some food pointers?

It s good that you won t take diet pills, most of them are a load of rubbish anyway and there is no magic solution . The only real way to lose weight is healthy diet and exercise, cut out fats and sugars straight away as these are the most damaging thing, as you are only 13 don t cut out too much else from your diet as you are still growing. Just add more healthy foods such as fruit and vegetable to your diet to replace some of the unhealthy foods, e.g. take an orange to school as a snack instead of crisps.ExerciseTry walking and cycling, if you usually get a lift to school try cycling instead? I find the best way is to incorporate exercise into your daily routine rather than making it a chore, e.g. take the stairs rather than the lift when you can. Try walking more rather than getting lifts or catching the bus. If you can t do anything like this then the best exercises you will be able to do without joining a gym are:Jogging - go with a friend if you feel awkward running about on your own.SwimmingCyclingGet some exercise DVDs and do them with a friend once a week - good for a laugh also as you will look like right idiots prancing about the room!In general get more active, if you find yourself sitting on the sofa watching TV just think, what else could I be doing now? Things like just doing the hoovering or something burn more calories than sitting doing nothing, so just keep this in mind day to day. Some good, quick and easy exercises you can do in your bedroom are:Step ups - Get something you can step onto and step up and down onto it,Sit ups,Leg lifts - either lying on your side or your back, add weights for more resistance,Get a stepper - I used to do 30 mins a day while watching hollyoaks, made it easier to go for longer if I had something to watch.Hula-hoop - sounds silly but it really tones your tummy and is quite tiring!sorry that was a really long answer!!

Get an exercising buddy, preferably same sex as you. Fat or slim doesnt really matter, but it just matters when you both push your limits together and lose that flab.Smiling and happily doing your exercise also helps alot, trust me.

Acai berry is very good for you. Don t eat late at night and exercise 5 times a week.

I need some help.? -

I really need some helpful easy to follow weight loss tips. I always used to be so small, but ever since my year in a wheelchair I ve gained alot of weight. I m 5 4 and 140lbs. I desperatly want my old figure back. Although people always get mad at me when I call myself fat, I just feel so ugly, and it would really help my self esteem to drop several pounds. I dont know what kinds of excercise are best either, as they have to be low impact because my legs are still real sore and I cant run. Please Help!

DO not try any pills. Don t mess with your health. Diet pills can affect your heart and do some serious damage. The moviestar diet is a scam. There is no good diet if it says it is fast. You gain it all back and double. Be wise please.Go to www.sparkpeople.comIt is a healthy way to lose weight and it is a free site. It s like having your private nutritionist. You type in how much you want to lose and by when etc...and they plan out your meals so you can achieve your goal. They have a calorie counter and everything. Plus they give you a fitness plan according to what type of exercising you like to do. You choose and you can alternate if it s not comfortable. It is free with support from the members and a real neat site. I m really impressed.Enjoy!God Bless!

try walking it is low impact and will help build up strength in your legs.go at a pace that is comfortable for you maybe use some light weights for your arms.do this for awhile build up your tolerance.

Sounds like swimming exercises would be great for you. You can so laps or make it fun and try water aerobics or water sports. The density of the water takes all the pressure off your legs/body.

You won t lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan either. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body s fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight. Low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt, known as a dieting plateau. You can never get slim by starving yourself. A healthy weight loss program is one, which does not make you lose weight in such a manner that your health is spoiled. Starvation is not a worthy way to lose weight because most people will fail to abide to the program rules after a certain period. In 2005 i was diagnosed with high blood pressure, and I m very overweight (250 pounds). The doctor said I should think about losing some weight and start to exercise. I ve had three back surgeries since 2001, I used to be a size five. But then I blew up to an astonishing size 22. I ve tried throwing up my food but that I could never succeed at it even though Ive tried a thousand times. I ve try marking down everything I eat, took weight loss pills and exercising to burn the extra fat. You name it, i ve tried it.Finally, in April 2008 my best friend introduce me a new technique of weight loss program. At first i was a bit skeptical since i ve been ripped off a few times. But after joining the program, I ve lost 30 pounds in the first month and currently my weight is 120 pounds. The truth is our own metabolism system play a vital part in controlling the amount of body fat burned in the process of providing energy to the body. Knowledge about our own metabolism function is the mother to all weight loss programs. With the knowledge you not only reduce your weight but able to maintain an ideal weight and living a healthy life. Best of all you can eat what you most enjoyed without gaining any weight. The knowledge from the program is invaluable and i m sure you won t be regret. Btw the program is absolutely safe and you will enjoy it for life. You could contact me at maria.weight@gmail.com for more details.

Deprivation can wreak havoc on any weight loss plan. You have to find balance. Yes, you can have a piece of chocolate sometimes or other sweets, but fit them into your calorie budget . (BMR)If you work out 5 times a week, and eat within your BMR range, there s no reason you can t have a treat sometimes. This way, you won t feel deprived and it will be easier to stick to your weight loss plan. You have to count calories, but as long as you fit a treat into your calories, you cannot gain weight. This will allow for lasting weight loss success.

If you are looking for fast diet way, you can use my way. I lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks. If you are really serious about diet you should have a look this way. It is fast if you know correct information to do diet. You can find more information from http://bit.ly/654wejh9

Firstly you need to know something. Losing weight is one of the most difficult things you can do. There are no easy solutions, no magic formulas and nobody else can do it but you. It is for this reason that I would only suggest you attempt to lose weight, if you really, really want to as if you don t i m afraid you probably are wasting your time.Secondly you have to ask yourself why you are fat. For most people it is a lack of exercise and for a few it is eating too much. Obviously most people have elements of both. So firstly ill speak about exercise and then I ll speak about food. The first thing to know about exercise is that different forms of it have very different effects on your body. To lose weight you need to do cardiovascular exercise regularly. This means that you have to get your heart pumping at least 3 times a week for at least 20 minuites a time. Unfortunately to lose weight requires you to be able to do exercise for 20 minuites. This requires you to get fit, and you have to understand that you wont lose much weight until you are fit. So how do you get fit. Well you have to do something that really gets your heart beat up. Unfortunately, contrary to what many people think, walking will not lose you much weight, its just not vigerous enough. So many people say to me, why am I fat, I walk for miles every day to work. The problem is this kind of exercise is not at all effective at burning fat. Luckily there are many exercises that are good at burning fat, the only problem is they are not much fun. If you use a running machine, rowing machine, cycling machine, cross trainer three times a week for twenty minuites you will lose weight fast. Unfortunately these machines are pretty dull and most people use them enthusiastically for a month or so and then get bored of them. I suggest you find a sport that will give you the same exercise, while being pretty fun. Football, tennis, cross country running, swimming, and many more are all great evercise and also a great way to meet new people. There are many clubs around for all these sports and many more, and the good thing is you are far more likely to keep it up, hence you will lose more weight and keep it off.As far as food goes: don t go OTT. Personally I think all forms of extreme diets are coutnerproductive. Just ask yourself, are you going to really eat cabbage leaves and pumpkin seeds long term. I know I wouldn t and I am not even sure that doing so would be particualrly healthy. I would even go as far as to say that as long as you do the exercise, don t worry too much about food, as people that do, tend to stop their diets pretty quickly. Obviously that doesn t mean that you can eat whatever you like, if you do just eat junk foods and ready meals, then you do really need to stop. But I find most people do eat sensibly enough, (you can be slim and eat nice food you know) and just don t exercise. If you are one of those people that decide that you are going to try and lose weight by not exercising, then I suggest lots of fish, pasta (with soy sauce on to make it edible) and fruit. But then again if thats your attitude I wouldn t bother.Good luck.

Celery and a low fat ranch dip is a very good snack. Dont diet, just spread out your meals, and have 5-7 small meals instead of 3 big ones. Take a walk after work, or in the early evening around 5-6, because your metabolism slows down around 4-5. As for workouts, just do some situps, or crunches, start with 20, then move up 5 every day. But try some squats at home, grab a loose chair, stand about a foot away. Lower yourself slowly, keeping your back straight, then when you it the chair, go back up slowly. I hope this help, good luck.

Weight loss tips? PLEASE HELP =[? -

So I really really really need to lose at least 20 pounds before Valentines day. Haven t seen my boyfriend in awhile and I want to look good! Please please please help me! Any ideas?

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, whichwill lead to increase of weight, or muscle growunderneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet withoutexercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. Fordiet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no foodafter 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending onyour initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. Ifyou don t eat wheat then you don t eat all those sticky, fatty goeycakes, you don t eat junk food, and you don t eat biscuits. But yourdiet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have tocalculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is themost efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight alot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to targetyour problem areas for men and women. It s not necessarily to become abodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help youto target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

The key for losing those unwanted pounds is simple - consume less food and move more - the difficulties appear when we really try to put that into operation! There are loads of stumbling blocks in the big wide world don t you think?! The only thing which really worked for me was wu-yi tea, it can be viewed in the resource box underneath, they have a few free trials remaining, it was highlighted in Fox News and USA Today. Some easy weight loss tips? -

what are some quick and easy weight loss tips

Calorie control is the key. For every 3500 calories you burn, you loose 1 pound. Same thing for gaining, for every 3500 calories that you burn, you loose 1 pound.Your body naturally burns a certain amount of calories per day WITHOUT exercise. Go to this link: http://walking.about.com/cs/calories/l/blcalcalc.htm. Put in your height, age, weight, and activity level and you ll get home many calories you burn in a day.For example, I naturally burn 1800 calories per day, so I decreased my calorie intake to just 1300 per day (1800-1300=500 calories burned per day) hence, with this, I would loose a pound a week (500x7=3500 calories burned per week) Follow me? This reeeally works. I did this and lost 25 pounds in a few months!!! Combining this with exercise like jogging DRASTICALLY speeds up the weight loss. You ll see the pounds melting off of you...Trust Me!!Also, drink LOTS of water (2.5 liters/day), eat healthy (cut out sugar processed carbs), and split your meals up into 4-5 SMALLER, more frequent meals per day instead of 3 large meals (this keeps your metabolism going strong throughout the day).Sorry, this is so long, but trust me...this works and it s easy once you get in the groove of it.

Drink lots of water, montior your calories and exercise, exercise, exercise!

Here, this is as easy as I can make it;1.Eat less,2. Exercise more.

Exercise in the morning; if at all possible (that alone will burn more calories than activity in the afternoon or evening). After doing one type of activity for a month, do something else for the next 30 days: ie. start walking, then ride a bicycle or whatever strikes your fancy. Eliminate carbonated soft drinks totally from diet. Make dinner your lightest meal (stays with you). Do not skip a meal; the body will produce extra fat to make up for it. Have a sensible breakfast...natural cereal w/fiber or oatmeal or fruit. Lunch is very important; have a good one...make good choices, like green vegetables, salads and a healthy entree. That should help get you going!

Everyone is right...calorie control and exercise...but while you re thinking about that think about sugars...starches (carbohydrates) store as fat in your cell...if not extended in exercise...build. Try limiting carbs to your early meals...more time to resolute during the day. Trust me this will make a big difference. I m not saying do an Atkins diet, but just think about what you are eating and when..Try no carbs after lunch...see if after 10 days or so, if it makes a difference. It s a relatively easy adjustment.

I don t believe that there is any way to easily loose weight. But there are a few things that you can do. First off is calorie control. People in the US seem to over eat. Given that the standard amount served as one main dish is probably enough to feed 2 people if you calorie count. Take a look at what your daily diet consists of. Try to level out the extra unneeded sugars and fats.Other then that Running is the cheapest exercise for individuals to loose calories. I have found that if you can find a friend that has similar goals is a great way to not only start but also to continue exercising on a regular basis. Plus you can motivate one another.Good luck.

Drink a lot of water, take a walk every now and then, avoid excess sugar and fat, and enjoy life!=]
