What is a really good way to lose weight fast? -

I need to lose weight before vacation and School. Mainly schoolplease help me!!I would love the helpthx :)

Weight loss is an overall process and there are no magic answers. Pay no attention to weight loss supplements and pills and all the latest fads. You need to think about many factors but most of them are related to issues we ve known about for a very long time. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.Make a few additional small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can t get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one. In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy. Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don t. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies. Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day. Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body. Vary your routines. Don t eat the same number of calories every day (vary your calories from 1400 a day to 1900 or 2000 some days), eat a variety of foods, and do different kinds and amounts of exercise. You will lose weight much more efficiently if you mix things up from time to time so that your body doesn t adjust to any one routine. An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.Check out websites about nutrition, exercise, weight training, etc.

To lose weight, you need to get your body to use up these stores of fat. The most effective way to do this is to:1.reduce the amount of calories you eat 2.increase your levels of activity. Introduce changes gradually-Small changes can make a big difference. One extra biscuit a week can lead you to gain 5lb a year C cut that biscuit out of your diet and you ll lose the same amount.Increase your activity levels-There are lots of ways to increase the amount of activity you do. Team sports, racket sports, aerobics classes, running, walking, swimming and cycling will all improve your fitness levels.

I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it s good for the heart. However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I ve found a great addition to help any one out, it s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it s the best pill I ve tried and I ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

Moderate practice is necessary, however if you would like to wear a Slendertone Flex Abs Belt, the effect will be much better. many over weight friends find it helpful, you may also have a try if necessary.

You probably won t ever get a good answer to this, because there really isn t one... sorry. The body just isn t meant to give up its precious extra weight, years of evolution and such.Your best option: Eat a low calorie diet every day, and walk / jog / exercise for a couple hours 5 days a week.

to lose 1-2 lbs per week, you need to have a deficit of 500 calories a day in your lifestyle. That means you can either eat 500 less calories, or excercise 500 more calories off. Good luck!!! Email me a Blieve77@yahoo.com maybe we can be weight loss buddies. I m 13 and want to lose 27 lbs by the end of summer. I weigh 125 and am 5 foot 1. How much do you weigh?

Read online about what you eat each day. Then eliminate the fatty foods cokes and sugar. The calories and reading will scare you thin. Then exercise your whole body, do something you like, dont matter if its seems lame as long as you stick with it.

no soda- drink lots of water. cut out as much carbs (empty carbs like bread, pasta, chips) and sodium as u can (try not to add salt to anything)... and add whole grains, and veggies to your diet. try and sweat for at least 30 min a day, preff in the morning.

How can i lose weight fast? -

I need to lose 20lbs asapI am challenging myself to drink nothing bur water for the next 2 weeks. Also to eat small portions of whatever my mom cooks instead of coming back 2nds and 3rds. Do you think that will help me lose it fast. Also i plan on starting to do situps and push ups every day. Along with walking my dog for an hour everyday. Thanks

I think that s a good idea. You should try to eat as much as you can, but of course, healthy choices. Try about 6 small meals spread throughout the day. That way you keep your metabolism going, and that in turn helps to burn off the food instead of storing it as fat. Doing exercise is great too! Oh, and it depends on what your mom cooks. I mean, if it s fattening food or not.

Healthy weight loss tips * Take one pound at a time Dont get overwhelmed by how much weight you need to lose. Try to remember that losing 15 pounds in two weeks is nothing to celebrate. It is important to realize that the more quickly weight is lost, the more likely the loss is coming from water and muscle, not fat. Since muscle tissue is critical in keeping our metabolism elevated, losing it actually leads to a decrease in the amount of calories we can each day without gaining weight. Fat loss is best achieved when weight is lost slowly. Strive for a weight loss of no more than 3-4 pounds per week. One pound of weight is equivalent to 3500 calories. * Set Reachable Goals For instance, if you know you need to get more exercise, begin with a manageable goal of, say, walking 10 minutes a day that you know you can achieve. Then build your self-esteem by achieving the small goals you set yourself. The same logic applies for losing weight. * Stay off the scales Dont get discouraged when your progress seems to be slow according to your bathroom scales. They do not provide a true measure of what is going on with the body. If exercise levels are adequate (5-7 days a week), you may be putting on muscle but losing fat, thus losing inches even if you are not losing pounds. It s always a good idea to do several body measurements to have a second objective way to monitor progress. * Stay focused on being healthy, not thin # Many people become more successful at long term weight loss when their motive changes from wanting to be thinner to wanting to be healthier. Change your mindset to think about selecting foods that will help your body s health rather than worrying about foods that will affect your body s weight. The Food Pyramid offers a basic outline of the types and amounts of food you should eat each day to give your body the nutrients it needs for optimal health. * Fat Free? We ve known for some time that limiting high fat foods in the diet can be helpful with weight loss. That s because fats pack in 9 calories per gram compared to only 4 calories per gram from proteins or carbohydrates. To many, the message to limit fats implied an endorsement to eat unlimited amounts of fat-free products. Just to clarify, fat-free foods have calories too. In some cases fat-free foods have as many calories as their fat laden counterparts. If you eat more calories than your body uses, you will gain weight. Eating less fat will help you to lose weight. Eating less fat and replacing it with excessive amounts of fat-free products will not. * Drink plenty of water Drink eight glasses a day. Water is a natural appetite-suppressant. Nettle tea is a great weight-loss tea as it supports metabolism and has diuretic properties. * Reward yourself # Each time you reach a goal, such as losing 5 pounds, reward yourself with a gift or a massage. * Seek help if you need it # A big key in long term weight control comes from receiving encouragement and support from others. Find a friend to lose weight with or you can check to see if groups such as Weight Watchers, or eDiets offer programs and resources in your area by clicking the links. You may also wish to check with your local hospital to see if their registered dietician conducts group weight loss programs. * Watch your portions With the advent of supersize meals and increasingly huge portions at restaurants, our concept of normal serving sizes is a distant memory. Be mindful of the amounts of food you consume at a sitting. When necessary, divide your food in half and ask for a take home bag. It is all too easy to be a plate cleaner even when served enormous portions. Learn to pay attention to your hunger level and stop eating when you feel comfortably full, not stuffed. * Eat your food slowly Did you ever notice that thin people take an awfully long time to eat their food? Eating slowly is one method that can help take off pounds. That s because from the time you begin eating it takes the brain 20 minutes to start signaling feelings of fullness. Fast eaters often eat beyond their true level of fullness before the 20 minute signal has had a chance to set in. The amount of calories consumed before you begin to feel full can vary significantly depending on how quickly you eat. So slow down, take smaller bites and enjoy your food.

The rule is about 1 pound of fat per week. You can lose faster though. On tv they lost 10 pounds in a week sometimes. You plan is pretty good. Just stick to it. The water is the key. Pop and koolaide will destroy it all.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don t over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home. The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!Don t look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

I lost 30 lbs in about a month by following the adkins diet strictly, and light exercise(brisk walking for at least 1/2 hour a day). of course it really depends on how much you have to lose. someone who needs to lose 100lb can lose it alot faster than someone who needs to lose 10. Just drinking water every day will NOT work. your body goes into starvation mode and gets a death grib on every fat cell you got. as weird as it sounds, you will lose more weight eating alot of low calorie foods than by eating nothing.

I was a size 18 and now I am a size 6 and have been for about 2 years. I lost about 60 pounds. The way that I did it was a combo of things:1. Drink lots of liquids! I had a glass or bottle of something at all times and when I wasn t talking I was drinking. Plus, every morning I would get up and CHUG a full bottle of water (20 ozs i think?). About 20 minutes later you will have to use the potty and you will already feel thinner. 2. Change your thoughts!!! everyday when you see yourself in the mirror tell yourself you are thinner. tell yourself you are beautiful. tell yourself how skinny you look. You will feel silly at first but after a couple of days, you will feel a difference in all aspects of your life. it is an empowering feeling! It is all a state of mind and when you talk to yourself in the mirror, whether negative or positive, your unconscious mind is what is listening and looking back at you. Your mind is the most powerful tool you have. 3. Don t eat anything white! Oprah did this after I did and she lost weight as well. Don t eat bread. no eggs. no potatoes. no milk. no cakes. nothing white. You do get to eat meat and carbs. Just nothing white. If you have to have a burger (my favorite) take one bun off. Sandwiches? same thing, one piece of bread. But I think the most important and effective is changing your thoughts. I speak from experience, it works. You will be walking with your head up high and THINNER.

20 lbs, ASAP? Without doing some serious damage to your body, that ain t gonna happen. Yes, drink plenty of water (enough so your pee is clear - that s when you know you ve had plenty) Do eat smaller portions and cut out the snacks Do exercise every day -- cardio stuff several times each week, and that will help DON T starve yourself - your body may initially lose weight, but it s gonna come back tenfold when you are done crashing. Been there done that and it ain t fun getting if off when your older!

How can I lose weight fast but in a safe way? -

ok, here is what I am doing. I ate alot of sandwiches and the bread was so fattening. I quit eatting bread all together and I get the tortilla (soft) and they are just as good to me. I cut way back on everything else and the best thing is I get down on the floor and do exercises. I lost 10lbs in one week, now it is like 3-5 lbs a week.I had to have back surgeruy in 91 so the doctor had given me exercises to strengthen my back and those I do, afraid to do anything else.
