Am I l losing weight too quickly? -

Hi - So, I ve recently started exercising/dieting more and am finally losing weight. My stats are 5 8, 265lbs, 23, female. I exercise 5-6 times a week, weight lifting 3x/week, and cardio for 30-40mins at least 5 times a week. My calorie intake is right around 2000 calories/day. I weighed myself today after not weighing myself since the 20th, and I ve lost 5 pounds. I suspect most of this is water weight, though I d rather lose fat than water, obviously. Is this a healthy weight loss, 5 pounds in a week? Is there something I can do to make sure I retain the same amount of water but lose fat instead of water - even if I only lose a pound or two a week?

You can never lose weight too quickly.

No, not if that initial weight is water weight. All over the media there are examples in ads and whatnot of people losing 60 pounds in six weeks or whatever ridiculously low time frame they tell. Losing 1-2 pounds a week is good, its a healthy weight loss. I say your program right now is pretty good. Bring a water bottle with you when you do your cardio and workout. If your cardio is intense, you want to drink plenty. If you are thirsty, drink. You should be proud of yourself for committing to a diet and exercise plan that is healthy, and not falling for the money making schemes that all these companies try to make to sell their fad diets that dont work in the long term. I am so sick of seeing questions from people who see these ridiculous ads showing massive weight loss in a few weeks, asking if they can lose 10 pounds in two weeks from just eating beans and drinking water, or whatever their unhealthy plan is. Remember, the dietary change has to stay there.

It s not bad.Most people lose a lot of weight their first few weeks and itgets harder and harder especially when you are at a plateau.Don t worry about it. You are eating enough and exercising very well.:]

Should I sue this weight loss company? -

I called a company and ordered their 5-day, 10 lb. weight loss program. The next day, there s a knock on the door and there stands before me a voluptuous, athletic, 19 year old babe dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign around her neck. She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss company. The sign reads, If you can catch me, you can have me. Without a second thought, I take off after her. A few miles later huffing and puffing, I finally give up. The same girl shows up for the next four days and the same thing happens. On the fifth day, I weigh myself and am delighted to find I had lost 10 lbs. as promised. I called the company and ordered their 5-day/20 pound program. The next day there s a knock at the door and there stands the most stunning and beautiful woman I have ever seen in my life. She is wearing nothing but Reebok running shoes and a sign around her neck that reads, If you catch me you can have me. Well, I m out the door after her like a shot. This girl is in excellent shape and I did my best, but no such luck. So for the next four days, the same routine happens with me gradually getting in better and better shape. Much to my delight on the fifth day when I weigh myself, I discover that I has lost another 20 lbs. as promised. I decided to go for broke and called the company to order the 7-day/50 pound program. Are you sure? asks the representative on the phone. This is our most rigorous program. Absolutely, I replied, I haven t felt this good in years. The next day there s a knock at the door; and when I opens it I find a huge muscular guy standing there wearing nothing but pink running shoes and a sign around his neck that reads, If I catch you, you are mine!!! Well he caught me. =(

You probably have no legal grounds to sue the company, though you could sue the man for sexual assault.To be certain I will need his name and phone number.

You cannot do that as because you accepted the terms and conditions of the company.

WHY???Not only you have now a great body but you also had a great time!!!!

man that is the funniest thing that I ve ever read was you looking for a date or really to lose weight because the company thought that when the women did not work out the man will wow don t sue them ,look at it as a diet did work by making you run fast.lol enjoy your weigh lose program you did lose some weigh.

What are some really easy weight loss tips? -

OK well I m 14, about 5 foot 2 inches, and about 40 ponds overweight. I want to try to slim some of it off before school starts, but I don t have access to gym equipment or anything. I can go for long walks/jogs, and I can change my diet, but what are some easy tips to help me get started? Also, how can I distract myself when I get hungry and want to eat?

u must have at least ine dumbell or some kind of weight right, get it..lie flat on a bench with your head at the end of the bench..lie very calm..take the weight..hold it above your head with ur elbows straight..your arms should be vertically uprigh..you should hold the weight with both ure hands...once u do that..keeping ur arms straight and elbow straight, slowly move the weight to behind ur head..like a 90 degree angle with ur arms still being straight..keep moving back and forward...does wonders to ur chestfor ur abdomen, lie flat on the ground, your arms should go whilst keeping them flat and straight on the ground..hold onto something with ur arms and slowly try lifting ur legs off the ground..slowly lift it and then bring it back down..keep doing it till u are tired:P like before, does wonderstip:dont expect rapid results..you will see gradual changes:) whenever u see food, think of ur prom dress:P haha and good luck:D

erm im not sure if your parents will let you do it (you will have to ask) but this is what i have doneget some1 to take a full picture of you wearin a bikini and put the picture on the fridge or food cupboard door... and put it next to your fav celeb in her bikiniwhenever i go to get a snack or chocolate or something i see the picture of me looking crap in my bikini and her looking hot so it puts me off snacking and i swear its helped me!jogging burns more calories than walking

just be more active and find a sport that you kinda like (swimming, jogging, tennis)....while you start your sport, start to also make small little changes in your diet so that you will stick to it...then take away the unhealthy foods little by little...soon you will be fine just eating all healthy food.

I m on a diet too.Well i suggest you drink LOTS of water, cut down on the soda and junk food, like pizza,chips, etc. If you want a snack, grab a piece of food fruit or veggies. Oh and exercise on a daily basis :]] hope this helps.

Healthy weight loss in pregnancy.....? -

I am 10 weeks pregnant and a couple of weeks ago I was weighing in at 87kgs!!! that is far to heavy for my height as I am quite short. I have a 10 month old baby, when I was pregnant with him I gained 20 kgs and since having him I have gained 10kgs..I really need to loose a little weight to be healthy in this pregnancy!!Any advice?????????

Obviously you shouldn t be relying on weight loss (scale) because it will only be going up from here.. But you can limit your junk food intake.. Eat lot s of fiber filled foods, drink a lot of water, and take walks, or stretch =).

Is this a healthy weight loss? -

I m am trying to loose weight and i do crunches and lift weights every day also i started eating less like once or twice a day in small portions sometimes i get hungry and just guzzle some water. i also go for an occasional run and bike ride.is this healthy and is there any better way or some alternative. also i have heard my eating habits can put me in starvation mode and soon every thing i eat will store as fat. also if i could starve more efficiently after i reach my goal weight can i eat a little more every day to slowly re regulate my intake so it wont store as fat???..please help!

Crunches and lifts are good- but realize that by doing those you will gain muscle, which weighs more then fat. Try to run/ bike more often- getting your heart pumping and more cardio is what is going to help shed pounds more then crunches and weights.You should eat several small meals a day (not only one or two, this is not healthy) But of course make sure that they are full of different nutrients.Drink lots of water, and eat healthy foods in moderation Hope this helps!

Pasta is it okay? -

For healthy weight loss, most people have ususally told me to stick to a 1000 calorie a day diet - now wait..i just ate a weight watchers lasagne, thats about 290calories, max - is any type of food okay as long as it s in the 1000 range?! to loose weight?? or should it be only fruit, vegetables, chicken, low fat foods?!?thanks

1 calorie of fat = 1 calorie of carbs = 1 calorie of protien as far as weight loss is concerned. Foods high in fats or carbs are frowned on by dieters because of the high density of calories in the food. 7 oreos has the same amount of carbs as 7 apples. If you had to choose one as a carb source for a weight loss program you would choose the apples because you would eat far fewer. If you are counting your calories it doesn t matter as long as you eat a good balance of protein, carbs, and fats. But it is easier to eat fewer calories on a fruits and vegetables diet because of the amount you have to eat in comparison to eating pasta or something fried.

well u should make it about 1200 cal. that would make u loose about 2lbs a week...1000 cal is too low, its not healthy, u wanna stay healthy while loosing weight...im going throught the same thing, i wanna lose 30lbs!!!!...its hard to keep ur calories that low every day...ill tell u what i do...breakfast: a peice of fruit and a light fit yogurtsnacks: any 100 calorie packs or tortilla chips salsa or some veggies with low fat ranch diplunch: a small salad w/ low fat dressing a lean cuisinehave a another snackdinner: a regular meal, just make sure its portioned good...dont take seconds...its really easy to go by...i LOVE food, so if i can do it...u can....thats just an example of what i eat all day....and another thing, i dont eat after 7:00!!!!!!GOOD LUCK

1000 calories per day is too low, unless Doctor has you on a special diet. Your body will think it is starving and you won t lose any weight.

you will find that to subsist on 1000 calories a day you will need to need low fat, nutrient rich foods like vegetables and chicken. but there is nothing wrong with having pasta occasionally. it is a simple, refined carb that will turn into sugar quickly so have whole wheat pasta instead. if you can t enjoy your diet, it won t work.

pasta is ok, as long as it is in moderation.. fruits and veggies are stressed in a diet because you can eat a lot of them with a low calorie intake.. this leaves you full yet not taking in a ton of calories.. a good option is whole wheat pasta.. it seems to fill me up more than regular and it is slower to digest which means it doesnt raise your blood sugar levels as high.. this is good if you are on a weight loss diet.

If you re going to eat pasta-use the whole wheat pasta. This also has alot of fiber-which helps fill you up-and studies have shown that people who eat more fiber lose more weight, and keep it off.

I did lose 100 lbs. I will tell you how I did it? -

I did lose 100 pounds in 2 years. About 5 years ago, I was married to an abusive husband. Any abuse you can imagine, I suffered, including being force fed. It made me go from 117 lbs to 200 lbs. I lost weight quickly after divorce. I was a student at a large university, so I walked at least a total of at least 30 minutes a day fast paced. I also changed to a vegetarian diet. Now, most importantly, my blood pressure is excellent, and my cholesterol is very low. I will advise this is ALL I did. I also led quite an unhealthy lifestyle because of the mental conditions I suffered after divorce, and that included binge drinking almost every day. I have resolved my alcoholism and I am being treated for my mental disorders now by a psychiatrist. But I did lose a ton of weight. It will ALWAYS include lifestyle changes like I did, including changing your diet and excessive. I did lose a good amount of my bones, because I would lose weight quickly in short amounts of time. The point of my story is please, do not take diet pills! They are dangerous and have been linked to heart disease. There are also a lot of free trial scams involving weight loss pills that are ineffective, like acai berry pills. There is no magic pill. You must exercise a normal amount and change your diet. It can be done. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can do it. Please keep your goals reasonable. You may not want to lose as much weight as I did, so my lifestyle choice may not be for everyone, and ALWAYS consult your healthcare professional before starting any weight loss program. Many times, your doctor will give you a weight loss plan suitable for you!

YES! Alot of people ask how to lose weight because of this and that!! Taking these diet pills and what not might help but in the end its all about whether u changed ur lifestyle and the way u eat. If u dont than all the weight will come back. How did gain weight in the first place??Now, simply do the opposite!
