How to lose weight for an 18 yr old guy? -

I want to lose weight not fast but i want to keep it off. I currently weight 97 Kg and want to get down to about 80. I already started changing my eating habits by having a large salad for dinner rather than normal pasta and chicken and all that but i dont know what else to do i use the wii fit is that actually helpful for excercises?

Tying having a bigger breakfast and a small dinner like a salad. yeah wii fit helps alot in the shoulders and abs and burning fat. but dont obsess over the number man seriously im 191 pounds (86 kg) and im 10% body fat. ok im 18 and on my 17th birthday i weighed in at 232 pounds(105 kg). i worked at mcdonalds and everyday i would eat a double quarter pounder with extra cheese large fry and a giant chocolate milkshake with oreos. it hurt to breathe sometimes and i was 36% bf. i remember one night i ate an entire medium pizza and i was still starving so kept going, i ate a bowl of popcorn and a bag of reeses mnms, then later that month we went to the ymca to sign up i saw the weight room and i fell in love with it. few months later signed up for golds gym.Thats how i became a body builder. So your best bet sign up for the y, and start pumping iron, you will literally not be as hungry. your life wont be about food it will be about you. email me if you want to know some pretty cool workouts and some fat burning but simple cardio workouts, my email is joey_clancy@yahoo.com

Cut down on carbs, swim, jump rope, avoid processed foods and sugar, eat your veggies, stretch, try substituting meat with tofu for a few meals a week. weight training. there s a lot you can do and the weight will come off

Wii fit is a con. It can not make you fit. You need to start running matey. eat 6 small meals instead of 3 large.

you need to eat lean meats (chicken, fish, turkey, lean beef) , low gi fruits (apples, bananas, pineapple, oranges), green veggies (broccoli, celery, green lettuce, spinach), only whole wheat breads (look on the package and she if the first ingredient is whole wheat flour, if it is it should be good unless it has high fructose corn syrup like Mrs Bairds does) Jillian Michaels from biggest loser has a great quote, before you eat your food ask yourself, does it have a momma or did it come from the ground? if not don t eat it. You need to do a good mix of both cardio and strength training, strength training is not going to make you look like arnold, I promise (unless you are taking test). Toning and building muscle strength will help you lose fat quicker as you will be burning calories all day to feed your muscle tone instead of just while you doing cardio activity and it increases metabolism. Running, walking, rollerblading, swimming are good cardio work outs. You can also get some at home videos. I personally like Gilad s Kick boxing, ten minute solutions videos, shape and woman s health videos. get your self some 5 pound dumbbells or a gym member ship and do bicep curls, push ups, sit ups, squats, dead lifts, lunges, tricep over head extensions, chest presses, shoulder presses, etc. You can do most of this on your own if you just go and buy some free weights, but a gym membership is helpful as well. If you do end up getting a gym membership I would consult a personal trainer (most memberships come with a free session) they can show you what to do and come up with a meal plan for you...Lastly, don t get discouraged, it takes time... you should be losing 2 pounds of fat a week safely, more is not typically safe. but you could gain weight especially if you are gaining muscle. so if you get on the scale and it says you ve gain two pounds don t freak out... just look in the mirror and go by how your clothes look and feel on you. hope this helps! email me if you have any other questions!

How to lose weight and gain muscle fast? -

I am 5 foot 1 and weigh 136 pounds and 15 years old. I am not sure what happened. When I was little i was so skinny that I could put my hand almost under one of my ribs. Now I have man boobs and a beer belly. Im not sure if I have not gone through puberty or what. But any ideas of exercises and foods I should do and eat. Please help

Usually losing weight is simple numbers. You need to know your basic metabolic rate (BMR). Once you know your BMR then you can design a diet lower in calories than your BMR.But.... it is not always that simple. You could also have metabolic anomalies or even hormone irregularities that can make losing weight virtually impossible. Start with the simple stuff. Calculate your BMR right here http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calcul then alter your diet if necessary. Now, if you don t see results after that you may look into the hormonal or metabolic areas. Also make sure you are being realistic, and that you do have weight to use. Don t forget... celebrities use tons of drugs and have personal trainers! We should all be so lucky 8)I have been doing the crossfit workouts and they have shredded my body big time (removed my body fat). They are pretty tough, but the results are quick!give them a try and see what you think. I usually do the WOD shttp://crossfit.com/http://www.crossfit.com/cf-info/excercisAlso to tone muscle, make sure you are getting plenty of protein to aid in recovery and building of new muscle tissueHere is a link for proteinhttp://www.buybulkwhey.com/

at 15, you ll probably grow a few more inches. Then you should lose a lot of pounds. But if you re in hurry, you should join an extracurricular activity if you haven t already.

Hit the gym.

How can i lose weight in 12 days? -

I m 12 years old and I weight 123 pounds and I gained 3 pounds when i use to weight 120.Please I need some advice or information on how to lose weight.I can start anytime but i need answers by December 23,2009 and the answer can be anything but I mostly like losing weight by workouts.

You need to speak to your parents.Three pounds isn t that much. You will probably lose it if you have a bowel movement. You will find that your weight fluctuates throughout the day. Weigh yourself tomorrow or in a few days, and you may be back to 120. It isn t necessary to try to lose weight in twelve days, and it would be dangerous and wrong for me to advise someone your age on how to lose weight.

at your age, you really shouldn t worry about that. exercise and a healthy diet never hurt

Chill out. You sound obsessed with your weight. Like she said, a poo and pee would drop 3 lbs probably.

well 3 pounds not much * get refinded foods (cookies, chips, most this in packages) out of your diet* no carbs (only proteins and dairy an veggies) * do 40 minutes light eight lifting one day the NEXT day 40 min aerobic * drink ice cold watereasy peasy just remember dont eat to little or too much

1. Find a popular fad diet (the Hollywood Cookie diet, juice fasting or the Grapefruit diet would work in this case) and follow it for a week.2. Go to the gym every day and try to bench press or deadlift double your body weight. Finish off your workout with 100 abdominal crunches.3. Drink at least two bottles of Gatorade and start running for 60 minutes every day.4. Eat no more than three times a day and do not eat after 6 p.m. Do not eat real food, focus on protein bars and pre-packaged foods.5. Dramatically reduce your calorie intake. If you eat more than 800 calories a day, stand under a cold shower for 10 minutes.6. Do not eat breakfast. Have two cups of coffee and a low-fat muffin.

I recommend you my weight loss way. It works very well and easy. If you are really serious about losing weight. You should have a look weight loss right way. It will work for you if you do it right. I lost 20 pounds in 8 weeks with this way. You can get more information from link below.

How to lose weight without being anorexic? -

I want to lose at least 5 or 10 lbs in 2 weeks. im 11 years old, weigh 94 lbs, and am 5 ft. But if i lose that weight will i be labled as an anorexic? Does any1 have any good diet tips?

hey hun! You are at a wonderful weight for your height and age. Please try to understand that your stomach probably doesnt flop the way you see it. When I was your age (im 18 now) I began struggling with food, weight, and body image. I still struggle today and I have been in recovery from anorexia and bulimia for the last 15 months. I was 5 8 , 110 lbs, and a ballet dancer. Ballet caused me to focus on my body a whole lot and I ended up having to stop because I became very ill. Over the last 5 years I have been up and down; I ve been on a physical and emotional roller coaster. I would not wish the pain, and struggling I ve created and it has caused so much pain to my family. I was looking for the fast and easy way and while I may have found it, it was not a healthy choice at all. I still struggle with food and body image. Not a minute in the day goes by when the thought of food or what I see when I look in the mirror does not enter my mind. Please do not fall into this trap because once you start it sucks you in and you lose all sense of reality. Everything changes because you become completely obsorbed and believe that what everyone tells you regarding your body isa lie. If you want to check your BMI (Body Mass Index) go to this website and be honest. http://apps.nccd.cdc.gov/dnpabmi/calcula

thx sooo much ur advice helped me so much! Report Abuse

Your only 11, maybe you should talk to a doctor about it and i do not recommend 10 pounds in 2 weeks. It is not healthy at all, just eat smaller portions and exercise. Your goal should be maximum 2 lbs per week, nothing more. You will gain weight back if you expect more.

Sweety.. you are not over weight. But if you wish to diet and maintain a good body. Try the Mediterran diet. It is filled with good ideas and suggestions, olive oil is a plus when dieting if used in moderation. I am currently using it now. and the results are great.

You are still young, I wouldn t try drastic diets, at 11. If you think you want to lose a little weight, just eat healthier food, and exercise more. Plus, look at your body....your weight might be higher than your friends, but you just might have more muscle and muscle weighs more than fat does. Plus. don t try to look like those tiny celeb models. They are unrealistic ways your body is supposed to look. Plus if you think you might be a little heavier, you might still grow more. And your body will even out as you grow. When I was your age, I was about that height, and weighed about the same. I was heavly involved in cheerleading and karate and just very muscular, and taller than most of my friends.

20 Easy Tips to Help You Lose Weight 1. Include two fruits or vegetables in every meal or snack. You ll feel fuller and cut back on calories from other foods. 2. Eat breakfast. You ll be less likely to overeat later in the day. 3. Snack every 4 hours (try oranges, apples, pretzels, string cheese). 4. Eat at regular intervals. 5. Know your portions: 1/2 cup of rice is the size of your fist, an ounce of cheese is a large marble; a 3-ounce serving of meat is a deck of cards. Divide your plate: 3/4 with vegetables, grains, beans and fruit; 1/4 with extra-lean meat or low-fat dairy products. 6. Make room for cravings. Have a cookie now and then; just drop something else that day. 7. Drink water -- a glass every one to two hours will keep you full. 8. Eat slowly. 9. Cut 100 calories a day (replace that candy bar with an orange and banana) and lose a pound a month. More tips on http://fitnessreport.info/20_easy_tips_to_lose_weight.htmGood luck!

You are underweight already, so you do not need to lose weight. And if you lose weight then yeah you could be labeled as anorexic because 84 and five feet tall is way too skinny. So please don t do that. You are skinny already.

Don t focus so much on weight; focus on toning, so in addition to 60 minutes of cardio a day:I do ab circuits multiple times daily. *100 crunches*50 bicycle crunches*25 leg lifts*balance your weight on your right elbow (20 seconds)*balance your weight on your left elbow (20 seconds)*20 push-upsTip: always keep your abs tight (even when sitting or walking)Diet: eat foods low in sodium to counteract bloating of the stomach; eat healthy food all aroundFor arms, legs, etc. I use resistance bands, weights, and do squats and lunges.Hope this helps :-)

How to lose weight around the hip and bum area? -

Unfortunately, we cannot lose weight from just one area. Weight loss is an overall process and there are no magic answers. Pay no attention to weight loss supplements and pills and all the latest fads. You need to think about many factors but most of them are related to issues we ve known about for a very long time. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.Make a few additional small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can t get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one. In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy. Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don t. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies. Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day. Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body. Vary your routines. Don t eat the same number of calories every day (vary your calories from 1400 a day to 1900 or 2000 some days), eat a variety of foods, and do different kinds and amounts of exercise. You will lose weight much more efficiently if you mix things up from time to time so that your body doesn t adjust to any one routine. An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.Check out websites about nutrition, exercise, weight training, etc. Here are a few helpful links.http://www.nutrawatch.com/http://www.caloriesperhour.com/http://www.helpguide.org/life/healthy_eahttp://www.wikihow.com/Lose-Weight-the-Hhttp://weightloss.about.com/cs/fitness/ahttp://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/fe

You can t lose fat only in a certain area. However, the way your body deposits fat might work with you if you decide to lose weight. If your fat storage seems to be centered around the bum and thighs, then your fat loss will probably be centered there too, which would solve the problem. If you start losing weight and the rest of you looks too thin, then you probably are going to maintain that proportion if you continue to lose. In that case, just stay the same weight and have a tailor take in the waistband of your pants.

Running helps get rid of everything. But also squats and lunges they wont seem like much at first but just keep doing them til it burns and all that muscle around that area wll tighten:)
