i have always been thin in my life, to about when i was 9. i went to visit my grandma for a full summer, and came back really chubby. im 14 now, and still havent been able to lose the weight. i have always taken dance and gymnastics classes, AT LEAST once a week. now im going for three times a week. im not obsessed with fat foods chips, but i have them about once a week. i dont eat fast food. i eat everything, yes, out of the food groups. i am a fruits and veggie type of person, so i ALWAYS have them. i hate cheese, and i barely eat meat. i walk to and from school daily. i know i should drink more water; i will. any other tips ? i need to lose weight mainly around my thighs and butt. videos? my BMI says im at risk of being overweight; duhhh. PLEASE AND THANKSS.

I have started this Diet (lifestyle change) in the middle of November at 140lbs, and now at 117lbsGoogle fruit fastA DIET IS WHAT YOU EAT....there for we are all on a diet....THINK LIFESTYLE CHANGEYou got the change the way you think and feel about foodTRY THIS, and stick to it.The first 3-4 weeks are the hardest until your body adjusts to the change. Results will be in about the same timeFruits and VeggiesEat more plants and keep away from stuff that was made in plants.Don t eat anything that comes in a can, box or package.........THEY HAVE ADDITIVES IN THEM THAT MAKE YOU ADDICTED TO THE FOOD.....If man made it, don t eat itNO white BREAD or SUGARNO PIZZA, I am in the pizza business, and it is not good for you, very high in FAT and CaloriesNO FRIED FOOD...Stay away from FAST FOODNO POP, SODA or FIZZY DRINKSWalk your dog, or walk a friends dogDon t think of it as a diet, but think of it as a lifestyle changeI have lost 28.5 pounds in 3 months, drink lots of water. I usually eat a meal of what ever I want once a week....controlled portion....this really works.........Write down every thing you eattake a multivitamin at night

well control how much sodium you intake. this makes you retain water. to get the 8 glasses of water you need a day have 2 at each meal and 2 at a snack. then walla! you had your 8 glasses you need! cut the chips you have once a week out! then exercse a hour a day. 20 min of walking, 20 min of running, 20 min of biking and you will be in great shape

Run a lot, lots of water...jumping jacks, squats, lunges...

do lunges it helps, step ups, and squat it really tones down the thighs and butt

I had the same thing happen to me when I was your age. I actually danced a minimum of 5 days a week from the age of 11 to 17 and struggled constantly with being chubby (especially lower abdomen, butt, and thighs). Around age 16 my body shifted and I realized that a lot of the extra weight I had was simply from being a girl and being between 12 and 15. When the rest of the goo, as I like to call it, didn t come off (I m now 21) I decided to take an active stance. I have started running every single day since February. It sucked worse than anything in the beginning. I told myself I would run for 20 minutes then do some crunches, leg lifts, and stretches. After now doing this for two months I realize that I look forward to it, even if it is extremely hard to get myself out of the house. I have lost 12lbs and am starting to gain definition in my stomach, thighs, and butt area. I also feel about a million times better every morning when I wake up, and I was never unhealthy to begin with.Running absolutely sucks when you start, for about the first month. My recommendation is to drag a friend along with you. Pretty much use your friend to guilt trip you into going and vise versa. I end up being lazy about once a week, but I have never missed more than 2 days in a week. Try it out until summer time, if you commit you could notice a big difference by then.

I need serious weight loss tips as fast as possible? -

I m fifteen...and school starts on August 10th. I weigh about 145. (I m 5 8 ) and I dont have a problem with my body, but a friend of mine is same age and height, but weighing in at 170. She really needs help, and I ve run out of things. she HATES running. She has no control over what she eats considering her parents pretty much feed her whatever they have, which is rarely healthy. We ve tried power walkign a mile every day, and NOTHING. Shes lost two pounds over the past three weeks....any help?? We have 4 weeks for her to lose 20 pounds. We re too young for pills and stuff like nutrisystem. Any helpful tips will work. Thanks alot. :]

Small, frequent meals, increase protein and reduce sugar, an hour of exercise 3-4 times a week to start, mix half weight training (no, women have different body structure so weights will only help muscle definition and increase daily calorie burn), and cardio should be 20-30 minutes, preferably intervals of fast/slow instead of one steady speed. Though I m not a certified trainer, I ve played college sports, worked out for nearly 13 years, played college hockey, work at GNC, and twice lost over 30 lbs to get to 8% bodyfat using that method. Use the calculator linked below to get your total calories and break down your meals according to the recommendations, and you will see results in under a month. As for the pills, they should be a last resort, and you need to be careful, because some may not work with your particular body, and you need to hydrate properly and not overuse (more than two months at a time, and more than recommended dose. Hope this helps, and if needed can elaborate further or answer more ? s.

have her keep a food diary, take more walks, just leisurely walks around town will do. but she needs to control what she eats, her portions and high intensity cardio is necessary for 20 pounds in 4 weeks.

Tell her to walk for an hour everyday and reduce her calories by 400 calories and tell her to also reduce her sodium intake.LMMFAO@Rasputia...lol....how you doin?

My trainer Coach A can help you, he does not charge anything for helping. Go check out his blog at http://coachtu.wordpress.com/2009/07/11/ you will not regret it. Write him he will answer you.

hmm, seems like she is old enough to take control over her own diet, if she doesn t want to eat what her parents say she shouldn t have to. Although if that s not an option, i guess some of the simple tricks could do the job :)- drink plenty of water, also cranberry juice helps you to go to the toilet, so she would be getting rid of waste more often which could help with weight loss.-fruit is also a natural laxative which will increase how often she goes to the toilet.-taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or walking the longer route to a friends house, seems simple enough, which might be why people miss them out, but every little helps!Maybe if your friend has some free time, instead of sitting around she can take a long stroll - helps if you have an ipod to pass the time. She may hate running, but you ve gotta do what you ve gotta do. Running will give her results- fast. just being out of the house more will help, walking around, instead of asking for a lift to somewhere, perhaps walk it? A friend of mine lost 4lbs in 2 weeks just by doing sit ups every night. Little changes such as swapping, vimto for water if your thirsty, or coffee for herbal tea. I ve been told drinking white tea helps weight loss too.The only way to lose weight is a good diet and exercise! And making small changes can have long term effects for the better :)good luck to you and your friend.

Half the battle in weight loss is what you eat and when you eat. I could workout strenuously for 2 hours a day, 7 days a week and would be overweight if I ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. What your friend needs to do is burn more calories than consumes, and eat small meals more regularly throughout the day (around 6 per day/ or every 3-4 hours). She should avoid excessive amounts of sugar, sodium, saturated fats, fried foods, and carbs that are not whole wheat. She should eat more lean protein (chicken breast, fish, lean steak), berries, whole wheat carbs (brown rice, wheat bead), good fats (peanut butter, avocados, olive oil), nuts (plain or LIGHTLY salted), lean dairy (cottage cheese, skim milk), and fruits/veggies. Despite these foods being good for you, they need to be portioned out. A couple handfuls of nuts is a good snack, but a whole bag is counterproductive. In terms of exercise, she should workout for at least 45 min - 1 hour a day for 3-5 days a week. The workouts should be strenuous and include both cardio and weight training. Many people think cardio is the only means to fat loss, but the stronger your muscles are the more easily they burn fat and calories.20 lbs in 4 weeks is a bit excessive. I would aim for a max of 10 lbs.
