How can I lose weight fast!!? -

Its almost summer and I want to slim down a bit. I have a lot of fat on my arms and legs, and i want to tone up my stomach and butt. I do not own any excersize equipment , so i need a effective way of losing weight without it. I want to lose 10-15 pounds maybe even 20. I want to look good in a bikini for the summer! : )thanks everyone for your answers!!

There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.Make a few additional small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can t get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one. In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy. Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don t. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies. Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day. Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body. There is no fast way . However, regular weight training, cardio, and good eating habits will get you there. Eat less, drink more water, and graze throughout the day instead of feasting a few times. I cut pop out of my life (a can of it a day for a year is roughly equal to 12 pounds of fat). Best of luck to you, I m sure you ll look even better than you already do if you keep it up :)

Losing weight at a fast pace is never good.. if u work out everyday of the week for at least 30 minutes.. then u should trim down 2-3 lbs a wk or so.. Also take LESS then in than u burn because that helps you lose weight too. Its all about cutting down and watching what you eat. Don t eat at night either.. and make sure u drink a lot of water, too. hope it helps ^_^

Diet and exercise, count every calorie you eat and burn more then that, do that every day and it is the best way to loose weigh and keep it off, I used to be over 300 lbs, but now I am 181 :-)

first off, when you wake up in the morning drink a full glass of water with lemon,skip breakfast,have lunch consisting of salad,few pieces of grilled chicken breast,without any dressing,have an apple before 5pm,don,t eat anything after 6pm, you,ll lose weight,guaranteed

weight loss is simply calories in VS calories out. That doesn t mean working out twice a day that just means burn more calories than you take in. you can t expect to sit around eating cheeseburgers all day and to loose weight simply by exercising, and vice versa, you can t set in front of the TV day after day expecting to loose weight just because your eating salads. The is no safe way to loose weight fast. not only is loosing over two pounds a week unhealthy but your twice a likely to gain it all back and then some. Do not eat ANY fried foods! Keep a bottle of water with you at all times and drink as much of that good ol water as possible even if you feel full or sick!!!!!!!! I lost over 70 pounds this way and it only took about 9 months!

DON T DO THINGS WITHOUT CONSULTING A NUTRITIONIST TO FIND OUT IF IT S SAFE!!!!I lost nearly 2 lbs. a week. I had a nice breakfast every day: 2 eggs and 2 slices of bread, coffee (with sugar) and/or orange juice, or a big bowl of cereal. For supper |I had whatever the rest of the family had (typically beef or chicken, with 2 side dishes). In between breakfast and supper I had ONLY tomato-cucumber salad with 3% fat yogurt and salt. I ate as much as I wanted of that through the day, which usually came to 5 tomatoes worth and 4-6 cucumbers. I toted a tupperware thing to work. Coffee and water at work unlimited, and maybe as much as a can of soda (coke of sprite, not diet) a day. I was scared to look at the scale, but I did after 8 weeks and saw I had lost 15 lbs. AGAIN- CHECK TO SEE THAT YOU WON T BE DEPRIVING YOURSELF OF CRITICAL NUTRIENTS, WHICH LOSE YOU WEIGHT BUT ALSO HEALTH AND MAYBE LIFE!!!!Good luck, Louis

I think the only healthy manner of losing weight fast is to go on a raw food and juice fast where you eat nothing but raw foods and fresh juice (not that stuff from the shelf) and lots of water. The word fast may sound scary but its not at all. While eating only raw foods and drinking fresh fruit and veggie juice your body does not have to work so hard at digesting what you are eating because (1) your body is designed to digest fresh fruits and beggies and (2) the enzymes in fresh produce actually contribute to the ease of the digestion process. Because your body will not have to focus on digestion, it will turn to ridding the body of all the things you put in it that are not necessary (ie toxins from food and pollution, and excess fat.)Typically a fast can last anywhere from 1 day to 1 month but I wouldn t reccommend it for longer than a day or 2 to begin with. And of course you should consult your doctor before trying a fast (preferably a holistic doctor.)I personally fast, for detoxification of toxins, but it also helps my figure. My last fast was for three days and I ate nothing but raw fruit, raw juice, and tons of water- I lost 5 pounds.Remember that the point of any diet is to lose weight and keep it off so when you come off the fast don t think that you can go back to eating the same ole crap and just fast as a quick fix. That would not be healthy and would be more like an eating disorder than anything.
