How can i lose weight quickly? -

i m 14 yrs. old(going on 15 later this month:( ), i hate my thighs,and stomach. THIS IS AN S.O.S.

Hi, just start by cutting out all soda, sugar and high calorie things.Work out alot. Average person should eat 1,200 calories a day.Write down all the things you eat on a typical day. Carry a small notebook with you and write down every snack, every drink, and the contents of every meal. There are also great websites that you can use to keep track of calories, get recipes, and help achieve your goal. Don t forget to include the pats of butter or the spoonful of sugar in your coffee. It s best to do this for at least a couple weekdays and a weekend; it s even better if you can go a full week.Go over the list and decide which foods to cut out or reduce. Cutting calories is usually a lot easier than you might think. For example, that daily tall latte in the morning may pack 500 calories. Since a pound of flab (lost or gained) is roughly equivalent to 3,500 calories, replacing that rich beverage with black coffee can help you lose a pound a week. Other easy cuts include salad dressing (salad dressing is the number one source of fat in the average American woman s diet) soda pop, candy, and butter. Look at the nutritional information for the foods you eat, pay special attention to your intake of saturated fats and empty calories (high-sugar foods). You don t need to cut these things out entirely, but if you reduce your intake of high-fat, high-calorie foods you ll lose weight faster. Start your days off right. A fattening breakfast of bacon and eggs or a pastry can be replaced with yogurt, oatmeal, high-fiber, low-sugar cereals; or fresh fruit for fruit smoothies. However, for those on a low carb diet bacon and eggs are a great combo for breakfast, since neither have carbs. But don t fall into the trap of skipping breakfast. Eating a healthy breakfast increases your rest metabolic rate earlier in the day, and reduces snacking before lunch. Watch your ypur meal sizes to.Exercise. Remember, you can lose weight either by decreasing your calorie intake or increasing the number of calories you burn. Any health strategy should include both, but if you want to lose weight fast, exercise is essential. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY BE CONFIDENT!Hope this helps!

eat healthy and exercise

How many weight have you lost on any weight loss program ? -

what program and how long have you been on the diet.

I lost 42 pounds on weight watchers in 5 months, it was awesome, it s been a year and I haven t gained it back!

It took me a year to loose 90 pounds on Atkins.

I lost 18 pounds in 1 1/2 months on Weight Watchers. I would have lost more, but I got pregnant. I plan to start up again after he is born. Good Luck!

I guess you mean how many pounds? I chose to take it very slow and very healthy and went the South Beach way and lost 45 pounds. I guess it took me about 8 months. I m still eating the way South Beach taught me to eat. That s what I love about it... the diet I followed while I was losing are the same foods I eat now, only I allow myself a treat once in a while... maybe a little larger serving of something healthy.

70 pounds in a year with Suzanne Somers. It s great because you don t cut out any food group.

From 199 lbs to 160 lbs currently; Plateaud and Shooting for 142 lbs. What to do? -

I m a 22-year-old female with slower-than-usual metabolism. At my heaviest I was 199 lbs. I dropped to 175 lbs or so relatively quick, and once I started my job in nursing (3 - 4 days a week 12-hour rotations on my feet constantly), doing a 1300 calorie-per-day diet has dropped me to 160 lbs in two and a half months. The thing is, the past three weeks, I have plateau d -- however, over these three weeks, one day a week I severely went over my caloric intake. However, the other 6 days of the week, I was back on it strict. I m a bit disappointed I m not losing weight quickly with as little effort anymore.I m looking for experienced peoples ideas with breaking through this. Based on body fat percentage 18% body fat would leave me at 142 lbs or so, which is ultimately what I m shooting for. I could use some guidelines, some advice, and perhaps some ideas. Thank you!

Hi Kima, having lost weight is starting to work against you losing more. Your drop from 199 to 175 would have cut about 100 calories off your bodies daily requirements and they fall from 175 to 160 would have cut another 50cals. There will also be almost 100 cals at 142lb as well so keep this in mind.So you now need to account for an additaional 150 x 7 = 1050 calories/week that your body was losing by default when you first started. Add to that the couple of days where you went over and that explains the plateu, no biggy. What you do need to decide is are you happy to accept slower weight loss, or do you tweek to 1200 cals (don t go lower than that) or throw in some additional exercise or a combination of two of those. You have done some great work to get where you are don t get frustrated when you are so close to your goal. Just take the road that will fit your lifestyle and personality best. Congrats on what you have achieved already and good luck with the rest :)
