I need advice on weight loss? -

im a teen girl who loves to dance but i have a little bit too much weight around my hips and belly... can u tell me sum useful advice on how to lose weight and cut down on what i eat and some good snacks and exercises and ideas.. PLEASE.. i need to lose 20 lbs. b/f school starts but i need to find USEFUL info on how to do this.. so tell me ur best methods.. weight loss tips... snacks... exercise plans... ideas.... exercises... whatever but be sure how to tell me how to do it.. K? I appreciate all the advice i can get!

Instead of trying to diet to lose the weight, do some thinking on how you can change your lifestyle (eating habits and exercise) so that you can live the rest of your life as the healthiest person you can be. Fad diets don t work, I know, I ve been on every one of them. The weight comes back. The ONLY proven method for permanent results is eating a healthy, well-balanced diet and exercise.At your age, a healthy diet can include many foods, but be sure you re getting in all of your veggies. Eat fruits as snacks instead of sweets (I like eating mixed berries w/ a low cal whipped topping), limit your soda (both regular and diet) consumption and drink more water and milk. I like filling up water bottles and using those flavor packs so that I m not drinking plain water all the time. Also, limit fast food to not more than 1 time a week.For exercise, I like to walk and swim. Those are things I like to do, so I can do them without feeling negitive about exercising. Walking, for 45 minutes to an hour a day, will help build your leg and back muscles over time, and since you love to dance, that s a good thing. Exercise routines such as pilates, kick-boxing, and martial arts are good routines too since they are fun and help build your core muscles as well as self discipline. If you want to join a sports team at school, that s a very good thing to do for exercise as well. The big thing is to find something that you like to do and do it. Just get out this summer and get moving, eat wiser and healthier and you should see the weight come off. But remember, don t lose weight too fast or your body will fight you. If you lose more than 3 pounds a week, up your calorie intake. Losing 2-3 pounds a week will insure that you keep it off in the long run.

to lose that much weight, you have to see what is your weakness... if it s carbs or a horrible sweet tooth... stop or cut down big time on those. eat more fruits and veggies... my sister is on this diet where so far she lost 8 lbs since she recently started which is eating no meat and no carbs and eating mostly fruits and veggies... i don t know how she s still alive lol but she s starting to put some carbs into her diet now. i lost weight fast when i got into tae bo dvds (billy blanks lol) good luck!... oh and drink TONS of water because when you sweat, you will need to replace that by drinking water.

There s tons of tips, but the best one I can give you is veggies . The more colorful, the better. For example, spinach is a better choice than lettuce, and sweet potatoes are a better choice than white potatoes. Also, cut down on sugar and refined carbs.

If the weight is only around your belly and hips 20 llbs might be too much to lose all at once? Try smaller goals and make sure this is what you want and need and not for anyone else. Im alarmed because you stated it needs to be done before school, that is not enough time to lose that weight. But try this, make it a daily routine to take a 3 mile walk, it should only take and hour and if this is too much try to split it up in 1 mile at breakfast, lunch and dinner. ...What do you find yourself constantly overeating? Stop eating it.

Ok so ive just been asked to prom.and i already kno what dress i want but i wanted to know do anyone have any good ideas for exercises for losing lovehandles.also exercises for toning the arms and thighs that will have fast results.if not ladies do you reccomend any specific type of spanx that can flatten the lovehandle area???????thanks in advance

You can t target the lovehandle area. Just adopt a healthy eating plan (5-6 small meals each day made of lean protein and natural carbs) and regular exercise (cardio AND weight training...look up various workout regimens or you can email me for some).You will see results in that time as long as you do this smartly. Plus, if you stick to it, you won t have to ask people how to OMG LOSE WAIT IN X DAYS anymore.

Or a pack of regular oatmealmixed with a few craisons and cashews. :| I getso hungry... but, I am losing weight. PLUS! I geton the treadmill for an hour and work off 400-600calories. Which is more than I intake.. And thenI do 50 side crunches and 100-200 regular crunches50-100 switch frontal leg lifts. I can see a difference.:) Hope this helped. You have a lot of work to do - how much weight do you need to lose? This will burn of fat - especially around the love handle area.Next, concentrate on your diet. Don t eat white flour, sugar, bread, cookies, ice cream, soda, juice, etc. Really be firm with yourself. Everytime you have a craving think about your prom dress. Instead just eat chicken and vegetables. Eat every three hours and drink 2 liters of water a day.For toning, do push ups, lunges, squats, side kicks (are great for toning the hips) - look up exercises on the internet. Tae-Bo or Turbo Jam to lose weight? _Cardio.? -

I went to my doctor and he told me that I was 60lbs overweight (I thought i was only about 40)anyways, i want to start eating healthy and working out, ive seen the infomercials about Turbo jam and taebo, have you used any of these or know of anybody who has. how effective is it? do you recommend one o f them. any other weight loss tips welcome thank you in advance.

Turbo jam and taebo are both great. Taebo is a little bit rougher and more athletic. If you re looking for a more dance-y workout, go with the turbo jam. The instructor is very motivating and always manages to put a smile on my face during the workout. As for the results, if you eat right and work out regularly you will lose weight with any program that makes you sweat.

Weight loss tips for teens? -

I m 13, 5 5 and 130 pounds, but everyone keeps telling me i need tolose weight. I wanted to know what i can do (other than situps) to losesome weight at a good rate. Are there any foods you can recommendthat are sweet? Because i ve never been able to eat vegetables......soanything like slim fast or south beach diet? Thanks =]

If you want to be able to lose weight and keep it off then you need to exercise. Your brain has a hypothalamic lipostat and exercise helps to set this lower. Therefore, your body will naturally store less fat.

I hate to break it to you, but the healthiest and most efficient way to lose weight is to bag the sweet stuff and eat the fruits and vegetables. Start with some that you do like and work from there. Slim fast is fine, same with those other diet supplements...however, being healthy is way more important that being thin (or at least it should be). As far as exercise goes--sit ups don t make you lose weight, they just tone your mid-section--running, swimming, cycling, etc. for about 30-60 minutes a day will be just fine. To burn fat, you want to keep your heart rate between 140-150 and to burn sugar you want to keep it around 160-180 (all depending on your age, muscle mass, etc.) I hope that helped! Good luck! :)

You are not fat or much over weight first of all. I am 5 3 and 120 and you would not think I was overweight if you saw me. You are fine adn if you still think you are too big you ll probably thin out as you get more in your teens you re only 13. But, the thing you should do is to maintain your current weight. Just take the stairs, take the long way to wherever you are going, have a smaller serving size at meals, there s plenty of little simple things you can do.

I have an ABSOLUTLY brilliant diet for you, it works every time. It means you can eat sweet things too. Eat a bowl of Shredded wheat for your breakfast and then again for your dinner but with a banana or apple, for your tea eat a high protein meal which will keep you fuller for longer, chicken and beans and some salad on the side but NO salad cream. Only drink water and coke zero and in a couple of weeks pounds will drop off! Come up with inventive meals for tea because you need choice like pasta but with no mozerella. Good luck with this new diet i promise it will work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cut sugar out of your diet. but beware sugar is in just about anything. I also cut out ALL the bad carbs. They are white bread, pasta and cereal/ Stick to veggies and lean protein and some fruit, but don t go over board in the fruit department. I am willing to bet that you might have an insulin problem and cant handle sugar judging by your weight. If you are not diabetic you will be soon, so take steps now to correct it. You will lose weight FAST and have more energy than ever. So if your typical souther meal is fried chicken, cornbread, collard greens and okra then take the breading off the chicken, no cornbread, collard greens and okra are good. Look into how a diabetic person might eat and take small steps in the right direction. I have an insulin problem and cant really handle sugar, i to was overweight until i got the scare of a lifetime about becoming a diabetic in 5-10 years

HELP!! I am 20 years old and getting married in September. I need to lose about 60 pounds to get to my goal weight but I would be happy losing any amount of weight. This is the largest I have been and I can t do it anymore I am depressed and I feel like I will never rise above this. I have a desk job where I work from 8:30 to 5:30 so I would have to go to the gym after work but with planning the wedding that is hard because my job takes up so much of my day I can t do both. My mother has lost a little over 30 pounds in about 4-5 month s time. What she has done is basically eat a lot less than what she used to. She has done this without going hungry by having fiber (in pill form) with a glass of water about 30 minutes before every meal, this allows her to feel full without actually eating a lot. Also, she has given up fats, and because of the fiber, has also been eating smaller portions.She was also supposed to exercise, but because of her very busy schedule (she gets off work at about 7 every weeknight), she has not done any exercise.I hope this works for you.

Walk to and from work. Power walking is one of the best cardio-vascular exercises you can get and it will help you reduce, especially if you cut your calorie intake too.
