Does anybody have weight loss tips for a 12 yr. old that does not like to diet or exercise????????? -

I was the same way when I was twelve. That s about the time I started taking a keen interest in girls and I noticed that they weren t particularly attracted to fat boys. At that time my mom was a little too accommodating with food. Six french toast for breakfast ... not a problem. Just eating better in the morning .... switching to cereal worked for me. Later on I did start exercising and working out ... it s hard to get started but once you do and notice positive changes ... it s hard to stop.

Find activities like roller skating or riding bikes with friends. It IS exercise, but because you re doing it just for fun, it doesn t seem so hard. While you re doing those things, you re not home and fishing through the refrigerator either! When you DO snack, try to make every other one something healthy. You don t have to cut out ALL junk food, but you can replace chips with celery and peanut butter now...and have chips tomorrow.

ok -- i started losing weight when i was about 11 or 12, and i lost 30 pounds in about 4 months.....if you stick to a plan, you should lose some weight. since you are in the growing time of your life, you need to make sure that you stay healthy -- do not stop eating....it is one of the worst ways to try to loose weight. what i did was replace sodas with water. i drank water with almost every meal. also, make sure you get yogurt and milk and stuff so you get calcium. make sure you get at least 8 hours of sleep each night. you could go for walks everyday....or a few days a week.....or you could walk around your house or something. eat lots of fruits and veggies. eat smaller portions of food, but eat about every 4 hours. try to eat supper about 3 and a half hours before you go to bed. if you want faster results, do some exercises each night before you go to bed -- i lost a lot of weight and got a nice flat tummy by doing this. try to find ways to burn calories - play outside with friends, play with any pets (if you have any).......don t sit on your butt and watch tv all day. :) and remember to reward yourself ..for example, if you set a goal to lose 2 pounds in a set amount of days, and if you reach that goal, reward yourself by going shopping or doing something that you d like to do. HOWEVER.....don t pig out because you could gain more weight. i wish you good luck, and if you have any questions or need support, feel free to email me at lardball777@yahoo.com

Well you could learn to love diet and exercise!Okay if thats not doing it for you get what you normally would to eat then cut it in half. Save the other half for later feed it to a dog what ever just eat half as much as you would regularly or try to mix it up trying some veggie or soy meat alternitives and getting low fat and low sugar substitutes. Also on exercise try joining a team sport your team will motivate you to give it your all and esspcially if you join a school sport you won t be tempted to give up as easily. Other then that you can try walking places you would nomally get a ride for like to the libary or a friends house. Little changes really add up and before you know it your a thinner healther you!

Watch what you eat try walking a little. lay off the sweets totally, have servings instead of a huge meal

To lose weight you need to burn more calories than you ingest. I am sorry but a healthy diet and exercise are the best ways to lose weight:-( Try eating more high fiber foods (they make you fuller longer and eliminate more waste). Try cutting out sodas (even diet soda, the fake sugar makes you crave more of the real thing) Increase you daily water intake it will make you lose more weight. I have read that ice water speeds up your metabolism but I don t know how true this it. If you don t like the taste of plain water you can add a lemon wedge to it or mint sprigs.Cut out things like high fats and high sugar items. Subsitue them with a fruit that you like (for sugar). Eat good fats that are plant based. These fats will not make you fat! Try eating hummus with your vegetables or on a sandwich instead of dips and mayo.Don t listen to the jackass that told you to throw up. Being healthy is the most important thing.

Yes sign them up for a sport.

Well, nobody really likes to diet or excercise. Just eat healty, don t starve yourself. As far as excercise goes....just get outside, and see the world. You ll be surprised what will happen when you get off your rear end and see whats out there!!!

Since a 12 yearold is still growing....maybe you should try to maintain their weight and not concentrate on losing. If you are the parent you can help out by not keeping a lot of bad food in the house. Soda is the worst.and...shut the tv OFF!

Weight loss tips for a 13-year-old? -

I m a 13-year-old girl, and I need to lose some weight.I m 5 5 , and I weigh 126, and my BMI is 25%.All I really need is something that can help me slim down, especially my legs, without involving diet pills.Does anyone know of any specific exercises or things I can do?Please consider that I am a student at the Middle School who eats lunch at school and gets home late, so I m not going to be able to eat some of the things that people sometimes suggest for lunch and dinner. Please help!Thank you!

well im 14 right now but when i was 13 last year i was 5 1 and like 114 i think so i did sit ups, but not that many, only like 15 or 20 every night. also at Target, they have that wanna be slim fast that says ultra weight loss shake(the creamy chocolate one ttastes best), it says on the box to drink 2 a day but i only drank 1 a day. i replaced breakfast each morning with a shake and it worked really fast like in 2 weeks. every few days i d go for a run around my neighborhood either after school or in the morning on a weekend. For your legs, running is great but even better is playing tennis. Im on the tennis team right now and it really does a lott for your legs, they get really nicely shaped and a nice glowy color too haha. Uhm also really good for your legs is jump roping. jump straight for about 1 a minute really fast then take a break and then do it again, i did that like twice a week. i lost 10 pounds but i didnt keep up with the shakes or the jump roping so i probably couldve lost more, but it really did help a lot. hope this helps you :)

just to let you know pretty much the same exact height and weight as me (im a bit older). but you re 13!!! you should NOT be worrying about your weight. instead of making it a goal to lose weight, make it a goal to be in better shape and be more healthy. this would be by eating balanced meals, drinking lots of water, and starting a simple exercise routine, like running, biking, or swimming. tip: when you re craving something, especially something unhealthy, drink a glass of water. that usually helps to get rid of cravings and it fills you up, but theres no calories, and its just plain good for you!so heres the point: eat healthy. drink water. exercise. good luck

I wouldn t suggest dieting at such a young age because it could lead to eating disorders later on in life. What I would suggest for you is joining a sport, possibly track if it s available to you. If you aren t into sports too much, I think you should get the Pilates buns and thighs workout. That one really works well for slimming and toning the legs instead of bulking them up.

Drink lots of water to fill you up right before you eat lunch and you will end up eating much less. If you exercise for two hours a day, you can basically eat whatever you want because you are burning so many calories. Dancing, running, and swimming are great sport and are also very fun. Eat the healthiest foods you can find and resist desserts!

Actually, you don t need to diet in fact in order to lose weight, the only diet that really showed results for me is wu-yi tea, it can be checked out in the resource box underneath, they have a few free trials in stock, it has been reported in Reader s Digest and CNN. I melted away twenty five pounds, it really does produce success!

In the morning,or when you come home at night.Prepare a delicious salad with chicken,or a LIGHT dressing. For the exercise, are you able to take up a sport at school? Because since you get home late the only thing i can really suggest is buying a Workout DVD.I have one and its just dancing. Its extremely fun.Its called Teen Tone Extreme dance workout .I got it in target. But all over jsut eat veggies and healthy things

It s not so much what you eat as it is how much of it you eat. Cut your portion size down or eat less of it. Switch to water with meals, cut out junk food, take healthy snacks to school. Have a activity you enjoy so that you will do it such as swimming, dancing, a team sport etc.

You don t need to loose weightYou re 13, your body is growing, and you need nutrition but also exerciseJust live with that

call up tour friends and take walks and talk and jog it s a slow prcess but it works! and eat stuff like chicken and salad don t eat to mmuch steak or hamburger

Jog.

Does anyone have weight-loss tips? Please help :(? -

I turned 13 years old on March 1st. I am 5 4 in height and I weigh 122 pounds. In some clothes, I m just not fat. It s kind of weird, but I can t explain it. My friends tell me and insist that I am not fat, but every time I look in the mirror, I see a chubby stomach that bulges out and fat thighs that look horrible when I sit down. I just hate having to go in stores and when I find something I really like, it never fits me. And because of my stomach, it bulges over my jeans and it makes them feel too tight. I hate looking at my sisters because they are all perfectly thin and they wear tight shirts without a worry of their weight at all. I hate this so much, I cry about myself all the time. I need weight-loss tips, cuz I can t WAIT to see myself actually THIN. My stomach is not really fat, it just bules about 1 1/2 inch off my normal figure. I gain no weight in my hips though and I still have faint traces of my hourglass figure. I would be grateful for help please, thanks so much!

Do you have a sort of pear shape? Then relax, it s quite normal for a young teen to be slightly pear shaped. Your body is still maturing and it hasn t filled out in all the womanly places yet. It s normal for someone your age to not have a waist or bust-line. Once they develop then you ll look more balanced. Clothes for teens are awful, they make them to fit adult shapes, not young teen shapes which are different from adult figures. You can wear things a bit more flattering for you and your shape. Wear things a bit looser, flared leg jeans will give the illusion of a waist, so will shorts that stand out from the legs a bit. Wear a-line skirts. In tops, find ones that draw attention to the upper part of the body, with details at the neck and shoulders. Bottoms of tops and shirts should be a few inches below the waist and not right on the waist. Have them flare a bit at the bottom. Empire waists are nice because they emphasize the narrow part of the pear shape, right on the rib cage, and make an illusion of a waist. Keep active, eat healthy food and stay away from empty calories like soda pop and sugar snacks and salty stuff. Walking is a good exercise, it s easy, cheap and you can do it anywhere. Focus on your positives instead of dwelling upon your negatives. Build up your brains and your sparkling personality, that will get you so much farther in life than looking cute and skinny in a skirt and wearing a tight shirt. You are still so very young, and still discovering yourself. You still have many physical changes to go through, some might surprise you in a good way. Do something unique that makes you stand apart from your sisters. Don t focus on the outside so much, become a beautiful person on the inside and then the outside will be beautiful too. And always remember the old story about the ugly duckling who grew up to become a swan, I ve seen it happen so many times in the real world. You might have a swan hiding inside. And sometimes those pretty ducklings don t stay pretty forever.

Eat healthy and try work outs the works on the abs like sit ups, push-up.,join a gym and ask people there.

Run Forest Run!OK, I thought that was funny, but seriously:Aerobic exercise (running or fast walking, etc...) plus heavy lifting mixed together will give you the results you want. It is a little known trade secret that trainers know about that puts money in their banks. Run a mile first and then immediately lift heavy weights while you are still sweating from the run. Do this at least three times a week and you will transform. If you have any health problems, see your doctor first.

Try to avoid fatty foods and food with loads of cheese and avoid chocolates take fish, pumpkin, fruits and vegetables that contain more water and also work out on regular basis mix honey with hot water and have it everyday in the morning this wiill help u reduce weight

Drink water.Eat Vegies Fruit and try to cut back on junk.Lots of exercise.Take it slowly - weight loss takes time! Aim for about 2-4 Pounds Per Week. Good Luck.

i suggest u to join the gym.the trainers will help u to reduce your weight.

Hi i dont think that u should loose weight, i think that u need to eat more healthy like eat a lot of veg, drink lots of water and take walks from time to time in the park. i am doing the same thing and it is very good. i do eat rice and other stuff like meat but i eat small amount. u r very young and can be tempted for sweets try and avoid them.i hope that was help and rember no diet eat healthy.

Weight loss tips for 16 year old girl? -

I m 16, 5 4, and 143 lbs. According to the wieght/height ratio thing I saw on the net, I am 7 lbs overwieght.Although I am only overwieght by a small amount I have a goal wieght of 125lbs. That s 18lbs which I want to lose in five months. So far this is what I m doing:15min. streching/basics(10 jumping-jacks, squats, push-ups, etc...)15min of Pilates30min of cardio(dancing is my favorite....)I do this on Mon., Wed., and Fri.(I m in the marching band and we have practice for two hours after shool every Thurs. and Tues. so I give myself a little break on those days)On weekends (Sat and Sun.)I do same except I do Pilates for 30 min. and run/walk a mile in the morning.I have also changed my diet plans:No soda, water insteadEat portion sizeNo junk foodNo Mayo or ranch dressingLess fried foodsNo eating past 8 p.m.So do you think I can lose 18 lbs in five months on this schedule or should I add some more cardio, less food, or what............Any tips are helpful............

That seems real good, and your diet will definately help. Btw, ranch dressing isn t too bad for you, just get a lower-fat version, same price and tastes the same ;), but yeah stay away from mayo. Add in ab exercises, do abs every day for 15-20 minutes and 10 minutes before bed. Try doing cross crunches, side bends, the plank, supermans, v-sits, leg raises and regular crunches. These all work great, if you need help with anything else, check my site out, tons of tips, examples of exercises for your entire body, a workout routine and if you have any more questions, email or im me, my info is all their, good luckhttp://RTSbuild.webs.com

I m used to eating 200 g of bread daily,I know it s much, but can I replace it with something lower in fat?Thank you so much!

Eat multigrain bread intsead. Try low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein, and exercise. The foods are low caloried, and yet filling and healthy. Brisk walking is great for burning body fats.It is my lifestyle now. I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs/14kg and gained better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs/49kg for more than a year, with more fruits and complex carbs.Details such as my experience, meals, snacks, recipes, foods to buy, reading labels, walking as an exercise and to shape the body etc etc,

Go to any site with dietary recommendations for diabetics and follow a diabetic diet. The simple rules are: eat less, exercise more, cut out sugars and fats. Simple.Eat wholegrain bread rather than white bread.

you can try tortilla shells...I lost alot of wait by reducing to one meal a day(not healthy), you should try five small meals a day...but really all you need to do to lose weight is burn more calories than you take in...simple right?

My advice is to do a bit of exercise daily drink lots of water before every meal..thats what i do to reduce my weight,by the time im ready to eat i can only eat a bit bcoz im already full.

Low Carb Dieting TipYour rate of metabolism dictates how many calories you burn. Heredity, gender, age, body size. diet and nutrition, activity level, and your overall health factor in on determining how high or low your metabolism is. It is normal for metabolism levels to lower as a person ages. Because of this it is important to begin stepping up your exercise routines in your thirties and forties.Ways to Boost Your MetabolismEat Regularly - Eating 5-6 small meals throughout the day will give you energy throughout the day--helping you to burn calories. Whereas, calories eaten during larger meals tend to get stored as fat.Maintain a Balanced Diet - Not only how often you eat is important, but your food choices are equally as important. Nurture you body with the appropriate balance of protein and carbs. Eating whole foods rather than processed food gives your digestive system a workout that burns calories. For example: choose an apple over apple juice. Workout with Weights - Building muscle mass will replace stored fat. As you build muscle tissue your metabolism increases. Don t Forget Cardio - You need to get that heart rate up and breathe a little heavier. Twenty to thirty minutes of cardiovascular activity 5 days a week is recommended. Brisk walking or swimming are good. Or utilize exercise equipment (exercise bike, treadmill, or elliptical trainer)Fruits and vegetables are clearly an important part of a good diet. Almost everyone can benefit from eating more of them, but variety is as important as quantity. No single fruit or vegetable provides all of the nutrients you need to be healthy. The key lies in the variety of different fruits and vegetables that you eat. Some basic fruit and vegetable tips:?Try to eat more fruits and vegetables. If you need 2,000 calories a day to maintain your weight and health, aim for at least nine servings (4? cups) a day. ?Choose a variety of different fruits and vegetables. It s easy to get into a rut when it comes to the food you eat. Break out and try a wider variety - include dark-green, leafy vegetables; yellow, orange, and red fruits and vegetables; cooked tomatoes; and citrus fruits.

if you really want to lose your weight don t worry.exercise daily with some hard workouts, drink fresh jucies.if you want more details view the website

GOOD weight loss tips? -

i m 14 and i really really want to be a size 1/3 by mid summer, or by the end of next summer. i know my weight is perfectly average but if i got down to the size i want, i would be alot happier, confident and it really would raise my self esteem ALOT!right now im about a size 5 in most brands, and around 140 lbs, give or take a few pounds. and i have a kinda chubby stomach, and i have muffin top in pretty much all my jeans, which i hate. [and when im wearing jeans my stomach looks 3x bigger] so i also REALLY want a flat stomach, and to get rid of my muffin top i have bad control over snacking on junk food, but i ve been doing a little better at eating healthier and drinking alot of water. but i m not losing any weight, also because it is almost IMPOSSIBLE for me to exercise at all [its a long story], so i wont be able to exercise regularly until summer time.i need good weight loss tips that work please!

weight loss is simple, its all about what you and mainly about self control. You need to limit yourself on sugar intake. If anything, try eating desert only once or twice a week. Next, try and limit how many calories you eat per day. If you are active and play sports and what not, limit yourself to 2000-3000 calories per day. Also, try and lay off junk food and fast food. although it is tasty, avoid it. Try a nice snack like celery and peanut butter. Sounds gross, but it tastes good and fills you up. Lastly, maybe exercise once or twice a week. Try just jogging for 15-30 mins and that should help a lot.

Although exercise is the easiest way to lose weight, a healthy diet is too. This doesnt mean not eating in any way. It means eating less portions and of better foods. Dont eat processed food like greasy chips, instead have celery and peanut butter, or something of greater nutritional value. Eating less and eating right, you should see results within the first week if not faster.

do crunches for ur stomach. and exercise as much as you can.PS: drinking lots of water helps lose weight a lot faster. and try to consume 1500 calories or less in a day. That should give you amazing results

I am hugely fat and need weight loss tips? -

I am in my second year of college and fianlly realize that I need to lose a ton of weight. All i do is study, play video games, and watch sports right now - I need to get excercing. In HS I was only a little overweight but gained 55 pounds in 2 years in college. I am 20 years old, male, and weigh 265 pounds. Advice... i can take critisim... I make jokes about my fat all the time for amusemnt but now i want to get rid of a lot of it.

Dude, i went through the same thing pretty much. I was lucky and had a really good friend that was obsessed with working out and i told him i wanted him to be like my personal trainer and force me to work out, and he did just that. I know its embarrassing to tell your friends that you have a goal to lose weight, and you want them to support you, (i don t know why that is, it really was for me though). But that is the best way to keep yourself motivated to work out and eat better. If you know all your friends are expecting you to lose weight, it will make you constantly think about what you can do to accomplish this and are more likely to work out every day, and not eat a bunch of junk food.Obviously everyone is different and this might not work out for you, but it worked for me. Since you are going to college, i m sure you have a free weight room you can use whenever you have time. Start slow, and stick with it. Make a conscious effort to eat healthier, and you will see results.

The best way to do it is diet and exercise. It s nothing you can do in a short period of time, the healthy amount to lose is about 2 pounds per week. Do lots of cardio and make sure you re eating right. Cut back on sugar, fast food and foods high in fat. Eat lots of lean protein (chicken, fish), vegetables, fruit and WHOLE grains.

just get liposuction, you ll be fine. or, excercise, but that takes much longer.

It really takes a severe amount of self control and discipline to lose weight. Instead of playing the video games you could take a walk around the campus. Try getting a gym membership too. I don t know about your college, but ours offers a program that is $20 for the entire semester, and it gives you one credit and 40 hours of gym time. Try looking into something like that. Also cut out the candy and soda, the stuff that is obvious that is bad for you.If you re really serious about it though, see your physician so he can give you a plan that s right for your body.

is your name....peter griffin?

ok well what you should probably do is instead of playing video games, go exercise. You can jog or whatever. Dont make your workout too extreme though. If you havent exercised in a while(or havent been currently), do it in a progressive manner. It could be just walking first, then slowly jogging and then fast pace running.

Just don t eat for a whilehahahahahahaI ve heard throwing up works good.hahahahahahaha??fitness club i guess??

You need to combine cardio, a balance diet and a weight loss supplement. Do not starve yourself to death. Have a healthy breakfast ( about 300 calories ). You may try a Lean Cuisine or Healthy Choice tv dinner like a breakfast quesadilla or a panini, have a snack ( about 200 calories ) 3 hours later only if you still hungry, another tv dinner for lunch, another snack 3 hours after lunch and a sensible dinner. You can even found in, for example, Walmart, 100 calories ice cream sandwiches. Those are very good and you can count them as your snack. But it is important that you have an edge. Something that will suppress your appetite, speed up you metabolism, give you energy and make you lose weight fast. Try this website:http://publishers.xy7.com/sw/54177/CD108...I ve lost 47 lbs in 41 days using this. It really work. Right now they are offering a free 15 day trial ( you only pay $5.95 for shipping ).Listen, I m not trying to sell you anything. I just want to let you know what worked for me. Just give it a try, is not expensive.Good luck!

Young mother of two in need of weight loss tips..advice whatever..just help me!!!? -

Okay heres the deal I m 19 with 2 kids one is 2 and the other 3 months...I despretly want to be able to look hotttt in a bikini for my birthday whis is om may 15th...and I dont have alot of time for exercise...cant afford the gym...and have no babysitter...or double stroller for jogging...any advice would be highly appreciated.

Well you could concentrate on toning exercises, search on youtube for at home exercises or aerobics. But all this will do is tone you up a bit, it won t actually make much of a difference by that date. Don t forget to balance your diet, lower fats and get plenty of fruit and veg.

Eat right, drink lots of water and JUST Dance! Turn on your radio and just dance the hours away with your little one or while you do house work. Play some songs that really get you moving.

You don t want to do a crash diet because those lead to other issues. My suggestion is either the atkins or south beach diet.
