What are the better weight loss programs out there for men? -

Okay, I m middle age, 30 lbs. over weight, a stomach pouch, way way out of shape would probably get a heart attack if I tried to sprint 1/4 mile.

My boyfriend lost about 30 lbs in about 2 months by being on the paleolithic diet. He didn t go to the gym, or exercise much during those 2 months.

Do it in gradual steps. But you can do it coz I m in middle age too. To lose weight you need to do cardiovascular exercises to increase your heart rate and burn the stored glucogen (carb). Do thirty minutes a day of running, walking, cycling or swimming. This is actually one session, you should two sessions with five minutes break in between to see noticeable results. Do cardio at least 3 to 5 x week when you get started. Try to walk if you can t really sprint. Do it outside like in a park so you won t get bored and get to chat with fellow joggers.

I listed two links to great programs. The first one is intended for people in their 40s and over, but it has an excellent strength training chapter that would help you. Second is the Belly Off program - it is very aggressive and it s aimed at men in your age group. The most important thing is to eat sensibly and start an exercise program of strength training combined with cardiovascular exercise. I went from being a mess to losing 50 pounds and being in great shape within a three month period. So it can be done.

Eat right, exercise right. What you want is 2-3 workouts a week, full bodied, 2-3 sets, 8-12 reps, 2 min between sets, this will elicit the greatest fat loss effect. Also try running 3-5 times a week, if u run more often run at a lower intensity for longer, if you can only make it out a few times try running harder. be creative.

I went with the Weight Watchers online program and an simple at-home exercise program and had great results. In all, I lost over 20 pounds in only a few months. The Weight Watchers online tools are very easy to use. I was going to school at the time and working full time so getting to meetings was tough. I liked that with Weight Watchers you get to eat your own food. This has made transitioning life after Weight Watchers much easier because I am eating the exact same food that I ate while on the program. The biggest plus - I have kept the weight off!Weight Watchers estimates that you should be able to lose around 2 pounds per week and still stay healthy. They are also very clear that this 2 pounds per week starts after about a month or so. Weight Watchers has some coupons for the online program:If you live in Canada you can get the Weight Watchers Canada 25% off coupon here:http://www.canbuy.ca/weightwatchers.aspIf you line in the US you can get the Weight Watchers USA 25% off coupon here:http://www.canbuy.ca/weightwatchersUSA.a
