Does Plyometrics From P90X Help to Lose Weight Fast? -

I m 19 5 3 and 140 pounds id like to be at 120 by around jan. I heard this workout helps you drop pounds quick and i was going to start doing it about 4 times a week. has anyone tried it? and what would you suggest on how to do this workout like how many days a week and maybe what i should be eating. Thanks =]

It s a good workout, very high impact so if you have any joint, foot, or back issues do be careful.No one single workout should be used for weight loss as your body gets used to doing the same thing over and over, and stops giving you good results. The Plyo X workout is a good part of the whole P90X workout program and if you want to lose weight and get fit, I highly recommend the program as a whole (you can get a good deal on it on eBay).Eat plenty of healthy foods...keep your calories up high enough to support your workouts. The P90X program comes with a guide that suggests calorie intake based on your current size and sex...or you can see the daily calorie needs calculator at freedieting.com which goes by your height, weight, age, sex, and activity level to suggest a good calorie level for weight loss or maintenance.

my opnion of p90x is not very high. It is a decent program in the sense that it provides structure and videos, which may be helpful to motivation. It is not optimal when dieting though. The risk for injury and muscle loss is high, and the whole muscle confusion thing is bull.That being said, you can drop pounds much easier just through diet, with exercise as a tool. If you want to lose weight fast, consider a PSMF. If a eat healthy and lose 400 calories a day... would i lose weight? -

Im 5 2-3 and im 56 kgs... im not fat or anything but i just want to lose 4-6 kgs to get lean... im not trying to lose weight fast but just through time... so i was wondering if i eat healthy food such as fruit, veges etc... and stop eating junk food and if i lost 400 - 500 calories a day would it help me to lose weight?

If you know how much calories it takes to keep you at your current weight, and go 400 calories below that you ll lose about 2lbs/3weeks.

These are the things i normally do.. healthy.. it works... BUT the thing that made me lose MOST of the weight was that i stopped eating meat (except for fish) and drinking lots of water and fiber (as u can see below).-go to gym and do cardio workout for 1hr every other day, plus some leg abdominal excercises-drink lots of water (up to 64 oz)-reduced the sugar salt intake (never add salt to my foods now)-Have more fiber (25grams) -crunches (30 per day)-Dont overfill my stomach-NO junk food-Green white tea-NO sodas-Changed from normal or white bread/pastas/rice to whole wheat and brown rice-Eat less meat. and it has to be 100% with no preservatives, hormones, steroids-Eat foods with high iron and fiber-many times i eat smaller meals/snacks every 3 hours (unless meat is involved)-more antioxidants in my diet-Buy organic/natural foods only (with NO preservatives if available)-more plain yogurt and herbs-only use olive oil to cook-reduced fast foods alot (i have salads, soups)NEW things i do now:-Take vitamin B-12 (good for metabolism)-Stopped eating meats! (except for fish) so that makes me a pescitarian-More fruits vegetables-Never skip breakfast-Chew well-Sleep more-DONT eat 3 hours before going to bed-Stay away from HFCS, Aspartame, etc-Always read labels-Don t cook on tephlon-No canned foods

that s a lot to lose at once without going to extremes. If you re firm on the weight that you need to lose, besides dieting, there are procedures you could undergo (enemas and such), however this will only be temporary. If you re looking for a quick weight loss, the Atkins high protein diet is capable (when used in conjunction with exercise ) of leading to 5 or more pounds per week.
