If im on a 2000 calorie diet and i burn around 410-820 calories a day is that a good way to lose weight fast? -

losing weight fast is not a good idea. i would recommend dropping 500 kcal/day. that equates to approximately 1lb. a week. it is feasible and not so unhealthy. just makes sure you eat a balanced diet and incorporate exercise.

First of all, you burn more than that. You need to find out your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate). Also, it depends on your height, weight, bf%, etc.

2000 a bit high, I am on a 1200-1600 a day and run for an hour a day then do 45-55 min of weight training. Thats about a 1000 calories burned or so.I ve been losing weight but not exactly really fast. Like maybe 3-4 lbs a week or so.

You should do the math and see how many calories you need to burn to lose weight based on your Resting Metabolic Rate.If you were eating more than 2000 calories before you starting working out, you will lose weight but eventually you ll flatline and either have to lower your caloric intake or up your exercise.Also keep in mind what you re eating! High carbs and sugars do not go very far and are counterproductive. You should try to get lean protein above all else.

at first glance i would say no, 2000 calories in and only 820 out. gotta burn more than you take in.

Best Answer - Chosen by AskerI did the south beach diet and w/in 2wks lost 15lbs just from following the diet w/out exercise. I know included exercise into the later phases. But if you can tolerate eating a lot(which you have to do on it) and lots of protein and eggs then you will do great!! I enjoyed it better than Atkins b/c eventually you gradually bring back some carbs and sugars. Think of it as a change of life instead of a diet! And remember, there s really no quick way!

Hey,Ofcourse you need to take into consideration your height and talk to your doctor. Make sure you don t lose your weight too fast. It can be really bad for your health and most of the stuff you lose the first week or so is all water weight and you will gain it back fast. You are really young ( I know you don t think so but you really are) Start to eat healthier and do exercise everyday. Try to eat 3 meals a day, (a good breakfast, that is really important). When you eat try not to stuff your self because when you do, your stomach get a little more streched out and then the next time you eat, you want to eat more. Also work out every day even if it is only a little while and try to eat foods with nutrician but not fat.
