Weight loss tips/help? -

I am going to be trying to lose 20 pounds by the end/mid of June, so in order to do that, I need to lose about 2 pounds a week. I know this is doable as I know people who have done it (through the atkins diet which I think is a bit too unhealthy for my liking). I am just curious if anyone knows how many calories I should be eating per day. I weigh 138 and am 5 4 (female). I have already cut white bread and sugars out but I just want to know if anyone has any additional tips that will help or any specific exercises that will help. Also, is there anything I should incorporate into my diet?Any help would be appreciated!

Drink 6-8 glasses of water every day ! Can be tap, plain, mineral, sparkling. I just love mineral sparkling water! This improves your bowel, reduces the hunger sensation, and hydrates your skin. Your skin will look much better after the first weeks! Don t believe the slogan water makes me fat . Beside being stupid... you might get into serious troubles with your kidneys. ? Drink ONLY natural juices, freshly squeezed! Don t drink Coca Cola, Pepsi, Spite etc. during the diet. Even lite or light versions. Exercise for losing weight... ? If you want quicker results - exercise would be good. ? Don t just sit in front of the TV and eat peanuts... I guarantee THIS won t work for your weight loss... ? Start a regular exercise program and stick with it. Don t be afraid of those sweat suits and Lycra pants! ? Start swimming. Swimming is an excellent exercise to get involved with, since it increases blood flow and uses muscles we don t regularly use. Start a swimming program and try to do it 3 times a week. the best and easiest thing to do is when ur at home and on the phone walk around the yard not to slow and ull get a good workout by 3 ten minute conversations. also id eat around 1300 calories a day. and jog an hr on days off

Weight loss tips for the cold weather? -

now that the cold has started i dont like eating salads, and even fruit. as a result i feel hungry all the time, and am not sure about what i should be eating - looking for some tips on what to eat, and how to stay motivated. its tempting to stay at home than go to the gym, but i so want to lose weight.

get a workout partner--if you have a friend or family member-find someone with similar goals try to work out with these person at least 3 times a week if they can t join you every day.try eating low fat home made soup with chicken or meat and vegetables.

A few things that have worked for me: For exercise * If possible and practical, take public transportation to work/school...and walk to the bus stop* Walk up the stairs instead of taking the elevator For meals * Cut out all cola drinks, diet or not (not hard in the cold weather). These are either laden with sugar (in the case of non-diet) or contain chemical additives that get in the way of the weight loss process (in the case of diet drinks).* Drink a large glass of water before you eat your meals. This will remove your feeling of thirst so that you don t eat to compensate for both your thirst and your hunger.* Eat smaller portions for your meals but don t cheat yourself out of the good things (like sweets). You ll never stay motivated to lose weight if you can t eat the treats.* Try to eat real food, and avoid chemicals that are meant to substitute natural sugars. I treat myself to whole hog Breyer s ice cream instead of Lowfat or NoFat ice cream...I just eat less. Same thing with butter vs margarine...Butter all the way, just eat less.Hope it helps a little.

It natural to gain weight over the cold winter. Just keep the weight, don t gain any. If you NEED to loose more that 15lb for healthy BMI you need to change lifestyle no matter.

weight loss tips for the cold, continue to work-out as if its still summer, but in-doors.dont eat before bedtime,layoff the starches and breads and chips and between meal meals. if you must eat fast-foods, try BK, no Mayo! you want to be motivated...good looking guys (like myself) like hot girls. the choice is yours. do you want to be a hottie or a nottie?!

Simple tips to lose weight? -

anyone got any weight loss tips, i started not eating after 5pm because your matabolism works off the food you ate during the day. but any easy tips on just loosing some exta pounds :]

always eat breakfast, try to within 20 minutes of getting up? I usually have plain cheerios with skim milk or oatmeal or cream of wheat, something that s healthy. I didn t like to eat any of these for breakfast before but after a few weeks of eating it, I actually am craving it in the mornings.

drink water, eat less fatty foods exercise regularly.

Any tips how can i loose my last stone of baby weight, when i am already dieting and regular exercising!? -

I am starting to feel depressed as i no longer have my perfect size 10 figure! All weight loss tips wanted!!!!

Give yourself time, your body goes through hell when you re preganant, sometimes it just takes a while for the last bit of weight to come off. You sound like you re doing everything you should be, exercise and healthy eating (I hate the word diet coz it makes me wanna pig out . Give yourself a break and the weight will come off.

Let me know when you do it cause I m still not there 3 years later!

How tall are you? You size may be already fine depending on your height. Keep yogurt or at least calcium in your diet. I don t know why, but Calcium seems to help the weight loss problem. That s how I did it after my second child. Also, DO NOT Skip breakfast. It will slow down your body, because your body will think it is in sleep node still...without that breakfast boost in the morning.

Be patient. The diet and excersise will work but you need to keep it up. If you get discouraged that the weights not dropping fast enough, you may want to quit. Thats the big mistake alot of people make. You just have to have patience. Hope I helped. Mike, Former USMC

Be patient - my rule is it took nine months to go on - expect nine months for it to come off! How old is your little one? Is he/she breastfeeding? Eat healthy, regular meals and keep moving, drink lots of water and make sure you are well rested (well as much as you can being mum to a newborn!) - one thing that really makes me cut back is writing down every single thing i put in my mouth, it makes me think twice believe me!

think yourself lucky you are nt bigger, did you think you would be a 10 for ever. Anyway once your baby gets to toddler stage exercise happens without you even thinking about it.

Edit this post with what you ate yesterday. Be honest, i m sure we ll be able to see something your doing wrong. Also what sort of exercise are you doing?There is method of dividing your weekly calories by 7 and then having a very high calorie day a few normal and a few below days. This way your body wont think its on a diet and will not hold onto its fat reserves. When on a diet for a long time the body can think that there is not enough food and store fat, this is from cave man days when this reflex was needed to survive winter

1) your body needs time to adapt that you are no longer pregnant!2) when you execise to much the fat wont be burned off it will be still there but as musclestructure. so if you give your body a rest for lets say about 4 weeks and you eat healthy food as well as using good cooking oil then you will see that you will lose the last stone in a couple of weeks.. some vitamines need oil (fat) to be used for its purpose .. if u leave out oil(fat) completely you harm your body ...lack of vitaminescheck the local weightwatchers website.!

I have had 3 children - after my first, I lost all the baby weight and more! After babies 2 3 I am still stuck. I am 10 kilograms heavier than I should be and it is the most depressing thing ever - I feel your pain hun and if I had the answers, I would share them!!! I really dont know if one can ever be the way they were after having had children, sorry hun :(

The only effective way to lose weight is to eat less and exercise more. (No fun!)

Good exercises focusing on the tummy area? -

i was wondering if anybody knew any weight loss tips but more importantly exercises that will focus on the tummy area , i am trying to slim that area the most thanks!

Every week addto the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - sixpack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than thesecrunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results ATALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

when dieting try drinking before eating and savoring food while eating. cardio exercises will flatten the abdominal area. situps crunches and the plank position will help shrink it also.

I m one of those tried everything women who lost and gained back, and lost again (mostly I gained back because I stopped paying attention). Right now I m losing with Nutrisystem and K2O (Kellog s water) between meals.There s a great booklet I bought from Nutrisystem called Mindset Makeover. It s a 12-week plan that helps you change the behavior of overeating and sedentary-ness. I love it. Part of it is a list of behaviors that most thin people have (that obese people don t). I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern.
