Is a 38 pound weight loss in 3 months a lot? -

Just wondering. I mean I know the healthy weight loss rate is 2 pounds a week, but I ve heard of healthy people losing 3 pounds a week.I m just moderately overweight and I hope to be at the lower end of the healthy BMI by the end of December.

No hunny that is healthy I went to a fat camp over the summer for the last two years, to be a junior counselor.I was heavy, and I lost 30 pounds in two months the first year I went, and the second I lost 16 and gained plenty of muscle from June 27th - August 16th. It is a credible camp so I did loss the weight the right way Camp Pocono Trails (new image) in Reeders, Pennsylvania. We had 3 meals a day, and two snacks one after dinner and one before lunch, lots of activity and games everyone fits in, even skinny girls went to camp for the friends. There was many hills and lots of walking to get to are locations for the day, not to mention the heat, and humidity. I loved the place and wish to go back again! So basically my point is yes 38 pounds in 3 months is fine. Good luck, stay healthy, and dont give up! Determination is the key. If you need any advice feel free to email me Bestsoylotta@yahoo.com

Generally, the faster you lose weight, the faster you will put it back on. Ninety-five percent of people will regain every pound they lose within the next few years, that s almost everybody... but if you lose it the healthy way, it ll take a long time to come back. If you lose it fast, it ll come right back, and some people even gain more than they lost!Twenty pounds is usually a much more sensible loss than 40. Most people can lose twenty pounds without having to do anything crazy. Don t starve yourself, that ll make your body want to binge. Don t injure yourself over-exercising. The thing is, BMI is pants. Its only slightly more useful than knowing someones weight without knowing their height. Its a piece of data, nothing more. Some people have bad BMI and arent even actually fat, just muscular. Some people are definitely fat, but still quite healthy. And some people have normal BMI and are totally unhealthy. Its potentially useful information, because it might mean youre slightly more at risk of something and therefore you should be careful about it, but THATS IT. It does not say whether youre a good or bad person, or even whether youre a healthy or unhealthy person. If, say, men are more at risk of heart attacks than women, that doesnt mean you should turn all men into women, or that all men will die of heart attacks. It just means they should think about it once in a while.Your actual health is way more important than your BMI.

dont make irrational goals which can harm ur body and mind.if u push ur body too hard, it cud cause great damage to ur body and u might end up gaining back all the weight once u stop working out.similarly, if ur unable to achieve the near impossible targets ur trying to set, it will affect u mentally and will bring down ur confidence!my suggestion wud be, u shd meet a dietician, and get a diet plan ready. simultaneously join a gym and cardio program. remember slow and safe weight loss is the way to go
