Don t starve yourself or try any faddy diets like Slim Fast, Special K, cabbage soup(!) coz they won t keep the weight off long term.Try to lose the weight gradually and see the healthy lifestyle as a longterm thing instead of a quick fix solution.Drink plenty of water throughout the day.Don t deny yourself your favourite food, just try and have it as a treat or in smaller quantities.Always have breakfast as this sets you up for the day. 3 meals a day plus healthy snacks plenty of water or herbal tea would be great.I find that a homemade vegetable soup keeps me full all afternoon and it s pretty tasty too.Start an exercise regime - join the gym, start running, join a pilates or yoga class, or buy a DVD and commit yourself to it. Start off slowly and build up. You could exercise at set days and times to make it easier to stick to (eg. Mon, Wed Fri, or Tues, Thurs Sat).If you ve got a dog, walk them for an extra 10 minutes each day. If you work in an office take the stairs instead of the lift. If you get a bus get off 2 stops early.Ask a friend if they want to be your exercise partner - then you can motivate each other.Try and have fun with it! xx
Hello... me too!! I start yet another diet today! Eat little and regularly ( they say 5 small meals a day), and don t eat any carbs after 5. Actually I try to stick to one carb meal a day which is usually wholemeal toast for brekkie. Snack a Jacks are a great snack if you re desperate. Celery sticks with some Branston Pickle and low fat cheese is good in the evenings. Take regular exercise (Kate Lawlers exercise DVD is really good it s called KATES CARDIO COMBAT. You should look for it on Amazon) And just picture yourself slipping into those little jeans and feeling gorgeous. And btw, drink lots of water and Herbal teas. Camomile, Honey and vanilla is my favourite. Good luck and let me know how you get on. jo x
you ll be hungry the first day but keep telling yourself once you get over the first day you will feel proud of yourself and give you the incentive to keep going. i used to drink lots of water if i was hungry or have a can of diet coke. when you feel hungry get up and do something tomake you busy. keep carrots ready for snacking on and other raw veg. you can do it.
