Pushups and crunches don t build weight, they build Muscle. They help your body get more toned and defined, which sometimes makes people look slimmer.
I haven t really seen anyone answer that those two moves allows one to loose weight...what they may be referring to in that it is an activity, that in turn will stimulate your metabolism, which will in turn assist in burning fat. Doing any type of exercise or weight lifting, which I do a lot of, will not directly make you loose weight...that s all about your diet. I m a natural competitive body builder and for my last show I dropped 15 lbs in 8 weeks and still ate seven times a day...it s all about what you eat, when you eat it and how it s absorbed by the body...if you pack on a lot of muscle (not easy to do) the muscle tissue is more dense that fat and will weight more for the given amount of size.
You are right. Crunches and Push Ups are training to gain muscles, so you can gain weight if you train right, but it also defines the muscles what means you are losing fat as well. In addition you ll keep your weight if you do that a longer time, but you ll lose fat.
the real point is not to lose weight it is to lose fat so if ur losing fat and gaining muscle it doesnt matter how much u weigh as long as u have a good healthy toned body
you still gotta do some sort of cardio in advance...66% offitness is influenced by your food intake,so eat healthy too
