Can anyone help me or give me tips on how to lose weight before school lt;---which is in August? -

My #1 goal is to lose weight and have a total slim transformation before School..This School year I want to be the picture of health. Can anyone give me tips, tricks etc..on how to lose the weight before school. I am 150 lbs.but I want to reach 120-130! Help?

I am glad to see you mention health and not just weight loss in your goals! Please do not listen to any of the people replying with trend or fad diets. They are not healthy, and, although you may lose weight, you will not likely keep it off. The best thing that you can do is to start changing the way that you think about food. Eat when you are hungry, and not unless you are hungry. It is not good to skip out on eating completely because this will cause your body to store more fat (starvation mode).Take over grocery shopping responsibilities, and try to focus on whole foods. Don t buy pre-package and prepared items. Fruit, veggies and healthy grains should fill most of the cart. Lean meat and dairy are good too. Always use moderation.The beverage you should focus on is water. Drink the proper amount of water for your body size everyday. Try not to drink too many other beverages such as soda or excessive amounts of fruit juices - you will be floored by the amount of sugar found in most! Also, avoid added salt (sodium molecules and water molecules act like magnets. If water gets stuck to all of the sodium then you end up with fluid retention and you feel bloaty and gross). Exercise is important. It is also imortant, however, to keep your entire lifestyle active. If you spend 8 hours a day watching TV over the summer, the hour and a half you spent at the gym will not pay off the way you want it to!Good luck!P.S.
