Walking is good for cardio. Walk briskly for half an hour each day and you ll see results. Make sure that you eat healthily, ie. getting the right servings of the food groups as well as cutting down fatty and sugary foods (ie, chocolate and sweets). Also some simple stretching can help you tone your body, you can use light weights to tone your arms a little and some simple stretches such as lying on your back and lifting your head and legs off the ground and holding it there for 30 seconds each day (as well as doing the same thing on your stomach if you can) will help you to tone your stomach and back muscles. As well as the usual sit-ups and crunches and all that...
walking fast is great and lifting weights is fun to me. you could also see if there is a free city gym in your area...we have one here. they have stationary bikes, treadmills, weight machines too.you could start swimming when the weather warms up a little more. make sure you drink lots of water, eat more fruits and veggies.and make sure you get enough protein and dairy too for your health. i have also been seeing infomercials for exercise machines that you sit on, one I think is call the Red it has a red seat that you sit on and twist. there is also the Abdoer that you sit down on also...they were interesting to me because I have had foot pain for over a yr.
Water aerobics is great- also invest in a good sports bra for any other exercise and you won t have as much discomfort
Diet and walking is good!
