How to lose weight? -

okay im going to start off now by saying im nawt aneorexic or beleamic. i exercise pretty much everyday. and i eat healthy a lot. i admit im fairly skinny. but i have a belly. i HATE it. i do sit ups to try to get rid of it but thats doesnt help. im 14. 5 3. and apparently weigh 104lbs. i want to go down to 95lbs. so basically 10lbs. but i dont want to eat less than i already do. i dont EVER eat breakfast or lunch but ill have a sandwhich or sumthin after school and a small dinner at like 7ish. i dont want it to be like something major where my parents will find out. they prob dont care but i dont want them telling me im fine. my mom was 90lbs at this age and a lot of my friends are 85lbs. and i kinda wanna lose a lil fat round my legs. at least i think i have fat. my friends say i dont but theyre so skinny it looks like it. but the only thing i know to do are squats but i dont want thunder thighs. i just want a quick easy way to lose 10lbs and stay that weight.

First of all, skipping meals is one of the very worst ways to lose weight. The only thing worse is eating most of your calories at night. These two habits together almost guarnatee you re going ot have too much fat and not enough muscle. You take in all your calories basically right before you go to sleep (figuring it takes a few hours to get your snack and supper digested). When you sleep you have all these extra calories floating around that you re not using (sleepign doesn t burn too many calories) so the body stores them -- first, a small amount in the liver and second, the rest as fat -- presumably to be used later when you need it. Only problem is, you never fast (go without eating) for long enough for your body to dig into the fat storage; you only use what was stored in the liver.You d be much better off not changing the total number of calories you take in each day, but rather changing when you take them in. Eat a small but healthy breakfast and a healthy well-balanced lunch. If you re still hungry when you get home then have a well-balanced supper as well; if you re not so hungry then just have a healthy snack.Second -- sit ups will not eliminate belly fat. This is a common misconception. Sit-ups and exercises only build muscle. Now, in order to look good and be healthy you do need to have muscle, but just toning up won t eliminate the fat. The fat goes away with time as you spend more calories in a week than the number of claories you take in that week.Chanigng habits like skipping meals is hard, but it s very important. Good luck!

You are a very healthy weight for a 14 year old. As the other person said, you would be unhealthy dropping another 10 pounds!By the way, doing situps and other ab exercises would actually increase your muscle size over time, making your stomach appear even larger. You should spend some time thinking about your self image and what your reasons are for wanting to lose this weight. Do you feel healthy at your current weight? Does your current weight prevent you from doing things or is this about appearance?
