I have been reading that in order to lose weight faster you must burn more calories than you eat...? -

If I intake around 1500 calories a day, what kind of workouts actually burn that many? I do the eliptical for 30min and only burn around 350. It seems like I d have to workout all day to burn as much as I eat! Any suggestions?

The average person burns over 2000 per day. Go to www.caloriesperhour.com and check out the BMR calculator. It will give you a personal estimate of the calories needed to maintain your weight. Try to cut 500 calories per day from that estimate through either diet or exercise or both. It will tell you how much each activity burns as well.

You don t have to burn everything you take in by exercising. Your body is always burning calories. It takes calories to do everything from the simplest things like breathing and your heart beating to getting dressed and walking everywhere you go. To lose a pound a week you need to cut out 3,500 calories a week. That breaks down to 500 a day. That is equal to about a sandwich... or a handful of chips or cookies... 2 soda s. Its easy if you are conscious about it! Good luck!

your body burns calories just by being aliveyou need to figure out your basal metabolic rate.. and consider those calories calories you have burned that dayjust google BMR calculator

Well, most people burn 1500-2000 calories a day, just by being and breathing and all that. You can find calculators on the internet that will tell you based on your level of activity how many you burn. So any over that would be your negative cals. Get it?

that is so wrong!you don t have to kill yourself.. jeez.maybe you could just eat really really nutricous vegetables, like kale.Letucce isn t accually good for you...it has no vitamins!

That s true, but not in the way it suggests. You burn a hell of a lot of calories just by breathing, and in your daily routine.
