This depends on how overweight you are. The more overweight an individual is the more they will lose when fasting. If by fasting you mean drinking nothing but water [which is really what fasting is], you should not fast for more than 3 days without a doctor s supervision.I would strongly suggest reading some books on the matter before doing this such as:Fasting And Eating For Health by Joel Fuhrman, MDFasting The Ultimate Diet by Allan Cott, MDThe Miracle of Fasting by Paul and Patricia BraggIt is also important to know how to break the fast. What to eat when the fast is over.I just finished a 3 day fast. I was 169 when I began and 162 after the 3 days. My wife however, who needs to lose much more lost only 5 pounds in the 3 days. So it depends on your metabolism and your sex and probably your degree of activity during the fast.Fasting can be an effective means of losing weight particularly if it is done on a regular basis such as fasting one day every week or 3 days every month. Fasting longer than 3 days should be done under a doctor s supervision and there are some persons who should not fast. Skipping breakfast is actually another way to fast. I know that people say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day but after reading the above books I referred to I am wondering if that is true. I am thinking it is a myth.By the way, the main reason for fasting should not be weight loss but for health. Being of a normal weight is of course tied to being healthy but even persons who do not need to lose weight can benefit from fasting.Read the reviews on Amazon for the books I mentioned.
DRINK 8-10 GLASSES OF WATER EACH DAYDrinking water 8 to 10 times each day gets easier the more you actually do it. It is simply a matter of conditioning your taste buds, and yourself, so that it becomes easier to do. Once you get started, you will begin to crave water. To begin with, you should drink a glass of water in the morning first thing, before you eat. This is probably the easiest glass you will drink all day and it will help you remember to drink water all day long. Better yet, why not drink two glasses? If you really cannot bear the taste of water, try using a water purifying pitcher or filter. You can also add a few drops of lemon or lime to your water ?but no sugar or sweetener! Ice also helps.Check out flavored waters on the market, too. Just keep an eye out for additives.

hey... janet here.. hopefully my own personally story can be of some guidance/help to you..I m 5 8 and at the time I was about 220 lbs.. and was trying real hard to lose weight for almost 8 months... i just had a baby girl at the time.. and during my pregnancy i gained a tonnnn of weight and much of it stuck with me after she was born, and the hubby began getting on my case and bothering me non stop about my new weight problem... so after a few months of that, it really started getting to me, plus summer was about to get here- and i love the beach! So i decided to try and do something about it... ive since tried almost every diet system out there... the standard eat less-exercise more change lifestyle diet, south beach, atkins, slimfast, weight watchers, etc... I also tried taking many different weight loss supplements.. and overall nothing has really worked well for me.... But i came across this diet program http://www.fatloss.pcti-system.com .. which a couple of my girlfriends put me onto, and it worked amazing for me like nothing else has.Right now I m only 180 lbs.. I m still overweight but I ve already lost 40 pounds and I m well on my way to my goal of 160 lbs.. I hope i was of some help.. I wish you all the best of luck!
