Anorexic people don t eat. That s the simple version of the definition. There are versions of anorexia though..there are people who will workout more than enough to burn off everything they ate (the calories), some people will eat foods just like lettuce and celery which technically take more energy to burn than the food has (you burn more calories digesting the food then the food has), and by definition..if a female doesn t have her period for more than 3 months in a row after she has actually started, then she s anorexic. Eating small portions of a healthy and balanced meal or snack prevents the body from holding and storing food as fat. Go a long time without eating and your body will know! It will go into starvation mode and store food as fat for survival and energy supply..Eat 5-6 small meals (oatmeal and some almonds, chicken breast, spinach and a small salad with avacado, salmon and asparagus) that are well balanced with protein, healthy fats and a complex carb, eat every 3-4 hours, drink plenty of water, exercise..and you WILL notice a difference. You won t be hungry all the time, you ll have lots of energy, your metabolism will be faster and you ll lose weight (especially if eating the right amount of calories). Stay away from junk and make sure to move around a lot!!
The way you eat and exorcise effects your metabolism. If you eat one big meal a day the rest of the day your body is looking for energy so it learns to store some of the one big meal as fat. If you eat smaller meals at regular intervals I try to eat 5 times a day. Then you body has a regular source of energy and uses it.I hope it helps. Peace, Love, and Joy,Ron
