20 Pounds In 2 Weeks?!? -

Ok, so I m 13, 5 feet 5 inches and 171 pounds. I recently lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks from cutting out ALL candy, pop, fast food, ect. I really would like to lose at least 20 pounds by June. Is that possible? It would be even better if I could lose 20 in 2 weeks (Yes, I know that it is Un-healthy). But back to the 20 by June, how can I do that? I really can t go outside or anywhere to run, all I have is my room and 2 pounds weights, plus P.E. every other day... Can someone help please? Tell me how to lose 20 by June? THANKS!P.S. Is it true that if you confuse you metabolism you will lose weight quickly?

if you lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks from giving up the things u said you gave up, then from now till June, you will loose about 60 pounds, do the math, lets even say 40, wow that is so much and in a good amount of healthy time.

a good thing to do to lose weight would be to do a good amount of sit ups and push ups. and i dont think you can really confuse your metabolism without some kind of medicine which you would be better off with. also work your way up from 2 pound weights to 4 and then 6 and so on. XD

Well I actually lost 18 pounds in 2 weeks. What I did was I ate cereal for breakfast and lunch (with skim milk), drank lots and lots of water, and had chicken and broccoli for dinner. The kicker is that I walked for 30 minutes a day everyday. You could do that, right? Also, yes it is true that if you confuse your metabolism you will lose weight quicker. I wish you the best of luck in losing your weight.

Will my insurance cover a medical weight-loss program if? -

No cruel answers please. This is a serious question.

Whether your insurance will pay will depend on your insurance plan and whether they consider it medically necessary . They tend to be rather stingy, so it will help if your orthopod and your primary care physician consider it medically necessary -- in fact, they will have to actually issue a medical order for it. I would think that the combination of your foot and the implants making routine exercise virtually impossible but necessary to protect it all would be a huge factor to support a medical order. It may take a couple of passes with the insurance gate-keepers, but give it a try and don t be disheartened -- after I had a heart attack and 2 heart surgeries (which in total cost about $250,000 eight years ago), the insurance paid 100% for cardio rehab, which was like going to the gym 3 times a week at the hospital and doing regular gym stuff while wearing a monitor -- kind of goofy but very expensive. So you never know . . . Best of luck!

I doubt the state medical program will pay for you to lose such a small amount of weight. The weight gain is making you unhappy but it isn t causing more medical issues and from the sounds of it you are not obese. You will have to cut down the calories for the amount of energy you do burn in order to stay the same until you are able to get out and mobile or you are going to have to find other ways to utilize the upper body in order to burn more. Sorry but I really don t think you need a medical weight loss program. maybe your doc could recommend a dietitian for you

Probably not. Insurance companies would probably tell you that it was your choice to gain weight. You could have changed your eating habits, exercised more, etc.I think insurance companies are good for certain things, but they won t go out of their way to help you. You might be able to use your flexible spending (if you have it - it s your money taken out of your check and put into an account before taxes) to get reimbursed for Alli or something. But again, many insurance companies won t cover that either.

you will need to ask your insurance provider. Some will, and some wont

How can i lose weight quickly? -

i m 14 yrs. old(going on 15 later this month:( ), i hate my thighs,and stomach. THIS IS AN S.O.S.

Hi, just start by cutting out all soda, sugar and high calorie things.Work out alot. Average person should eat 1,200 calories a day.Write down all the things you eat on a typical day. Carry a small notebook with you and write down every snack, every drink, and the contents of every meal. There are also great websites that you can use to keep track of calories, get recipes, and help achieve your goal. Don t forget to include the pats of butter or the spoonful of sugar in your coffee. It s best to do this for at least a couple weekdays and a weekend; it s even better if you can go a full week.Go over the list and decide which foods to cut out or reduce. Cutting calories is usually a lot easier than you might think. For example, that daily tall latte in the morning may pack 500 calories. Since a pound of flab (lost or gained) is roughly equivalent to 3,500 calories, replacing that rich beverage with black coffee can help you lose a pound a week. Other easy cuts include salad dressing (salad dressing is the number one source of fat in the average American woman s diet) soda pop, candy, and butter. Look at the nutritional information for the foods you eat, pay special attention to your intake of saturated fats and empty calories (high-sugar foods). You don t need to cut these things out entirely, but if you reduce your intake of high-fat, high-calorie foods you ll lose weight faster. Start your days off right. A fattening breakfast of bacon and eggs or a pastry can be replaced with yogurt, oatmeal, high-fiber, low-sugar cereals; or fresh fruit for fruit smoothies. However, for those on a low carb diet bacon and eggs are a great combo for breakfast, since neither have carbs. But don t fall into the trap of skipping breakfast. Eating a healthy breakfast increases your rest metabolic rate earlier in the day, and reduces snacking before lunch. Watch your ypur meal sizes to.Exercise. Remember, you can lose weight either by decreasing your calorie intake or increasing the number of calories you burn. Any health strategy should include both, but if you want to lose weight fast, exercise is essential. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY BE CONFIDENT!Hope this helps!

eat healthy and exercise

How many weight have you lost on any weight loss program ? -

what program and how long have you been on the diet.

I lost 42 pounds on weight watchers in 5 months, it was awesome, it s been a year and I haven t gained it back!

It took me a year to loose 90 pounds on Atkins.

I lost 18 pounds in 1 1/2 months on Weight Watchers. I would have lost more, but I got pregnant. I plan to start up again after he is born. Good Luck!

I guess you mean how many pounds? I chose to take it very slow and very healthy and went the South Beach way and lost 45 pounds. I guess it took me about 8 months. I m still eating the way South Beach taught me to eat. That s what I love about it... the diet I followed while I was losing are the same foods I eat now, only I allow myself a treat once in a while... maybe a little larger serving of something healthy.

70 pounds in a year with Suzanne Somers. It s great because you don t cut out any food group.

From 199 lbs to 160 lbs currently; Plateaud and Shooting for 142 lbs. What to do? -

I m a 22-year-old female with slower-than-usual metabolism. At my heaviest I was 199 lbs. I dropped to 175 lbs or so relatively quick, and once I started my job in nursing (3 - 4 days a week 12-hour rotations on my feet constantly), doing a 1300 calorie-per-day diet has dropped me to 160 lbs in two and a half months. The thing is, the past three weeks, I have plateau d -- however, over these three weeks, one day a week I severely went over my caloric intake. However, the other 6 days of the week, I was back on it strict. I m a bit disappointed I m not losing weight quickly with as little effort anymore.I m looking for experienced peoples ideas with breaking through this. Based on body fat percentage 18% body fat would leave me at 142 lbs or so, which is ultimately what I m shooting for. I could use some guidelines, some advice, and perhaps some ideas. Thank you!

Hi Kima, having lost weight is starting to work against you losing more. Your drop from 199 to 175 would have cut about 100 calories off your bodies daily requirements and they fall from 175 to 160 would have cut another 50cals. There will also be almost 100 cals at 142lb as well so keep this in mind.So you now need to account for an additaional 150 x 7 = 1050 calories/week that your body was losing by default when you first started. Add to that the couple of days where you went over and that explains the plateu, no biggy. What you do need to decide is are you happy to accept slower weight loss, or do you tweek to 1200 cals (don t go lower than that) or throw in some additional exercise or a combination of two of those. You have done some great work to get where you are don t get frustrated when you are so close to your goal. Just take the road that will fit your lifestyle and personality best. Congrats on what you have achieved already and good luck with the rest :)

If you are serious about losing weight you need to have this way. It worked for me and it is the only weight loss way that lost me 12 pounds in 4 weeks. It works just amazing and using right info will lose your weight fast . You can find more info from link below.

I need help with dieting and excercise.? -

I have been going to the gym and doing weight lifting and well i guess trying to run. I hate running i feel like i am going to pass out. I want to lose weight quickly and healthy. I am going to go on a low carb diet but I wanted to know about my workout. My trainer friend is getting me and my mother to do weights and then run. I HATE running. I was told that it helps you lose weight faster, but then I was told it is bad for your knees and that it bulids muscle. I walk on the treadmill for 20 min. (which will increase) I go at a 3.5 pace. would I lose weight that way. Throwing in about 10 min of the eliptical to? when I cant go to the gym I try and walk at a fast pace around my neiborhood. What should I do? I also wanted to ask about food. Iwas told to stay away from all white foods. (pasta, potatoes. etc.) I was wondering with pasta I love pasta. Would it be more better to each whole wheat pasta? I cant give up pasta.ha.thanks!

Running will burn calories quicker than walking will, but it s okay to just walk at a fast past. You can even up the Incline on the treadmill so it will make it more challenging. You don t have to give up pasta! Just switch to whole wheat. At first it won t taste as good but you ll get used to it very fast. The trick isn t cutting out carbs, it s replacing the good carbs with the bad ones.White pasta and white bread have bad carbs while whole wheat versions are much better for you. You have to realize you don t have to starve yourself, you just have to eat foods that are nutritious and good for your body!

The biggest reason you ve been advised to avoid white food is that it causes the cravings that make it so hard to lose weight. If you re concerned about not having pasta, use one of the low-glycemic pastas now made, such as Dreamfields...it s an excellent pasta that is mostly made up of carbs your body can t absorb. The running isn t necessary, and in fact if it s making you feel sick the chances are it s too hard of a workout for you and you re likely forcingy your body into stavation mode by doing it. Any cardio (anything that gets your heart moving) will help you lose weight...and remember, if you re having a hard time keeping up a conversation you re working yourself too hard. Walking is a wonderful way to lose weight. Also, keep in mind that building some muscle is a good thing. While it may mean you don t lose as much weight, you will lose as much inches and you ll be able to eat more without gaining weight. You see, while fat just sits there, muscle actually burns calories while it is just sitting there. So good deal, right?I know it s hard to not be impatient when you re trying to lose weight but keep in mind that you want this to be a lifestyle change and not just a few weeks to get rid of years of wrong living. You need to keep these changes permanently for the results to be permanent results.

It is a possibility to lose weight fast but you should be realistic and comprehend that if you lose weight rapidly then you will without doubt put it all back on again just as rapidly. The sole diet which really showed results for me is green tea, it can be viewed in the resource box below, they have a handful of free trials left, it was reported in Fox News and CNN. I lost thrity pounds, it really does produce success!

The key to losing weight is to strength train (lift weights). If you don t enjoy running for long periods try interval training. You can pick any cardio machine at the gym, go as fast as you can for 1 minute (cycling, running, etc) then rest for 2 minutes, keep doing this for a total of 20 minutes. Other alternatives are skipping or burpies. I agree with your trainer regarding eliminating white foods as generally speaking they aren t that good for you. However, if you eat healthy 90% of the time (eating lean meat, vegetables and fruit) and splurge 10% (whatever you want) you are more likely to stick to this plan then never allowing certain foods such as pasta. Obviously whole wheat pasta is a better choice than regular for fibre but if it s going to be part of your 10% then have the white! Good luck.

Which wine is best for a weight loss program? -

No wine is best for weight loss. If you are really serious about it, you need to cut out alcohol.

Mad Dog 20/20. Great way to kick-start bulimia. Just try to not vomit after a big old swig of this swill. I dare ya!

lol your addicted to wine so much that you need to drink it even when dieting um crystal, and merlot
