How do i lose weight using the treadmill? -

i have started going to the gym regularly , but everytime i get on the treadmill, it asks me if i want to do manual or fat loss, if i choose fat loss it prompts me to walk and calories burn slower, also i learnt from someone that to lose weight you have 2 be at 65% INTENSITY to maintain a proper heart rate, so i was wondering if weight loss program is actually more effective for losing weight than jus plain old running...??

You need to do both. The amount you lose in weight depends on whether you burn more calories than you take in. The amount you burn is a combination of calories burned through exercise and calories that you burn doing nothing--called your resting metabolism rate. The best way to raise your resting metabolism is to do weight training:squats, push-ups, sit-ups. The treadmill is a ood way to burn calories. You actually burn more fat if you exercise moderately, so that you won t lose your breath. This keeps the exercise aerobic as opposed to anaerobic.

I always do quick start and walk/run. I personally think that running is the best thing to lose some weight. You can also try to increase the incline while you are walking to make it harder and work yur legs more

Speed walking is the best. It gets your heart rate up and isn t bad on your knees.
