I need some weight loss tips from ovo-lacto vegetarians? -

Ok so i ve been a vegetarian for about a year so i m still pretty new to the diet and i m kinda going crazy trying to figure out how to get the right nutrition and what not. I m trying to lose weight, 20 lbs to be exact. I hate working out so aside from taking the stairs and walking to campus, it s not gonna happen. I tried sticking to mostly fruits and vegetables but it gets boring because there is not much variation. It s also not very filling. Can anyone offer some low-cal meal ideas that still offers the nutrients needed in a veggie diet?

- Cut down on the dairy.- Skip the veggie junk food. - Cut down on the fried food. - Don t eat as much.

Fruits and vegetables are not filling because they are high in carbs. Fruit is especially unsatisfying because it has a lot of fructose, which stimulates hunger.Calorie for calorie, fat is the most satisfying energy source. If you make butter, egg yolks and coconut oil the foundation of your diet, every meal will give you more satisfaction and more energy. Extra virgin olive oil is great too, with the added bonus that it is a raw food.In addition to eggs, coconuts, avocadoes and macadamia nuts are good high-fat vegetarian whole foods.

You need to take some form of exercise otherwise you will loose very little weight through diet alone. Walk, run, take a class. Cut out cheese, deep fried things and sugar. Make veggie stews, lentil bakes, omlettes with vegetables and salads.
