I am 13 and overweight, what are some ways to lose weight? -

I am 13, 5 4 and about 190 pounds. I would really appreciate some weight loss tips.Any help is greatly appreciated.

The only way I ve ever been able to lose weight is to keep a food journal, write down everything you eat and drink every day. Jot down the number of calories from packaged foods and drinks, you might be surprised what is (or isn t!) fattening.Don t diet but instead try to figure out what you will be happy eating long term that is good for you. People who are able to keep weight off don t usually follow an exact diet they read in a book, but instead figure out what works for them as individuals (I read that in a Consumer Reports article reviewing various commercially marketed diets). You can use a particular diet as a starting point, if that helps you, and then charge it to fit what you like. The first week keeping a journal, don t make any goals, just get an idea how much you are currently eating. Then start to set small goals one at a time, like reducing the number of snacks, eating smaller portions. If a particular kind of food seems to be your weakness, try to find lower calorie alternatives you like just as well, or if you can t, you might want to limit the number of servings per week. You can also set goals like trying a healthy food you ve never had before. But be gradual when you set goals. Don t try to do too much at once, and don t get down on yourself if you don t meet a goal.It does help to increase exercise. But whenever I try to stick with some list of exercises, I always let it slide eventually. So that never worked for me. It helps to find something active you do for fun, or it is just part of daily living, that you don t think of it as exercise. Most important, it s about health, not weight. Many young women are way too thin, which is harder on your body than being overweight. Taking care of yourself may not seem important now, but when you get older, the better care you take of yourself when you re young, can pay off by giving you a better quality of life. Eat good food, relax and don t get too stressed, find activities you really enjoy, have fun.

Being a girl, theres many ways that you can lose weight. However, I am a guy and own the following equipment that not only makes you lose weight, it gets you in great shape to...http://www.mybodylastics.com/If you visit that website, you can purchase the cheaper set, obviously because your a woman and have no desire for the most expensive, I myself purchased the most expensive set, and right now im in the best shape of my life, dont doubt any set especially for the price your gonna pay going to the gym.

alot of it depends on what you eat. try cutting down on the junk-oo and start eating some healthy non-sugar cereals, like special k. but dont diet! you re still young, but make sure that you re eating healthily and getting all of the nutrients your body needs per day.try some cardio. you can find some really great exersizes and cardio workout tips on google. also, try sitting less and on your feet more. while watching tv, during commercials, instead of sitting there , try doing sit ups, crunches or even jumping jacks. go out and play outside an hour per day, since your still a child. try some jumping rope, jogging around the block or yard, climbing a tree or jumping on a trampoline.you re still at a young age, so try not to push yourself too hard. and make sure that you still eat and dont skip meals....and if you can help it, dont eat in between meals and DO NOT eat anyhting after 6 at night. thats how lots gain weight is when they eat at night.hopefully this has helped you! good luck ;) try talking to your parents for some tips as well, i bet they can even jog with you sometimes. a great way for family bonding :P

of course eat right. count your calories. and then when you work out burn about 2 times how many calories you took in that day. also don t over work your self you can hurt your self.push your self on the first day with ab workouts, and then jog for about 20 minutes then run a bit faster for ten then go back to joging. be sure to strech before and after.the next day try lifting. then back to running the next day. do intervals like this.if you hurt your self or your too sore break for one day.

Drink 8 glasses of water a day to help cut down the hunger cravings.. in fact, carry a water bottle. Have a friend who you can diet with that will help you monitor how you re doing, someone you can trust and encourage each other.Do not binge eat, do not eat after 8 PM, switch to as many low-fat and fat free options as you can, and reduce your carbohydrate intake.Keep track of your progress on a calender so you can see for yourself what s working and what isn t. Weigh yourself daily.

Though it may sound boring and old-fashioned the best thing to do is walk, walk, walk! Since it s warming up a bit outside there really isn t any reason why you wouldn t want to go outside and enjoy the nice weather while getting exercise! Walk about 20-30 minutes a day, that s it! You can do a little more, but at least 20-30 minutes a day....not that bad, huh?!? Along with walking, you MUST drink water, eat healthy (that includes fruits and vegetables), stay away from the fatty, fried foods and sodas! And be positive- that s key! You can t put yourself down, you have to uplift your spirits and do what s best for your body. Trust me, you can do it! I ve seen it first hand! Stay encouraged and consistent and next thing you ll know people will be asking you How did you do it!?? Best wishes and hope this helps! :o)

drink lots of water, and since you are a little heavy dont just jump into full on aerobics. start with walking, then throw in some jogging, push ups sit ups, dont watch tv, dont play video games, get your heart rate up for at least 30 min per day, try to workout at least 3 to 5 times per week and eat healthy foods, like fruit, veggies, fish chicken and othe good stuff

hi. don t worry honey.you are teenager. you are in growing age. you know eating breakfast is important. it burns your extra calories. drinking water especially 30 min before eating breakfast. do some exercise in your spare time. be satisfy with yourself darling.

running and swimming are great for losing weight overall.if you burn enough calories in a day, you can still eat what you eat on a daily basis. thats what i did since i would run about 4-5 miles a day.

At your young age the Atkins diet might be a good option as it includes all animal protein. You can get a whole book on it from health stores.
