Im really concerned about a friend shes been gaining a lot of weight recently weight loss tips? -

My friend has gained a lot of weight recently she is 12 and weighs like 59kg and is in need of help but is too embarased to see a doctor can ou please tell me what i can do to help her without her having to go to the doctor?

Well she could use resistance exercises to build muscle which in turn makes it easier to lose fat. I suggest a combination of resistance exercises and cardio to help your friend get into shape. With resistance exercises you could either use weights or body weight exercises. Assuming you or your friend don t have weights use body weight exercises. 4 sets of 12 repetitions for each exercise of push ups, squats, crunches and as many pull-ups and chin-ups as she could manage. Most people could only do 1 pull-up. Make sure that with the last rep she s struggling. INTENSITY is more important than VOLUME of exercises. This should be done 3 days a week, preferrably Monday, Wednesday and Friday for no more than 1 hour. With cardio, HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is currenty the BEST way to burn off fat. Long slow cardio is the least effective and can sometimes be harmful if taken too far.HIIT: 2 minutes walking and 30 seconds sprinting. This becomes 1 cycle. Complete 4 cycles lasting 10 minutes. Every other week add 1 more cycle until you reach 8 cycles of walking and running. This should be done on the days you don t do resistance exercises and should last between 10-30 minutes.Nutrition is also important. She should eat 4-6 small healthy meals instead of 3 large meals. Get her to limit her junk food intake but also have an off day so that she wouldn t crave for some junk food. Completely eliminating all junk food will only lead her to quit. Plenty of water and 8 hours of sleep. If she follows all this and does it for @ least 3 months she ll hopefully be more happy. I could also send you an e-book on some healthy recipes if you re keen. Email me for your e-book @ skilled_methodz@hotmail.comThis is lengthy I know but it contains everything you need. Hope this helps :)

Well, if you really want to help her, you should suggest workouts for her. Try planning what kind of exercises would help out with her problem areas and set a workout for her that she should strictly follow. And help her LAY OFF the junk/fatty food. Tell her to eat more veggies, fruit, and keep a healthy diet! But absolutely nothing like starving her, or making her throw up her food! those are bad disorders! Also, it helps to eat dinner before six, you burn off more calories that way.
