Weight loss tips: doing it, yet staying healthy.? -

okay, i m a first year college student on a mission. I m five foot ten, and i weight 150 lbs. over the past month, i ve lost twenty pounds.for the first many weeks, i ate one meal a day, which was almost always a small salad and a glass of water.the results showed fast, and i was happy. i also started jogging two to three miles a day.looking back, a month of strict dieting should have lost me more than twenty pounds. agreeed?anyway, i m trying to lose twenty five more in this month. I m excited to do it, but i don t want to gain it all back when i start eating regularly again. I m learning to eat, and enjoy, healthy foods, and i like working out. However, my weightloss rate has slowed. in the first week i lost five pounds, and by the second week i lost ten.now i m working out more, and eating healthier, but i m losing two or three ounds a week.Does anybody have any tips on how i can lose weight faster?

It s is really unhealthy to excercise and have one small meal a day. That calorie deficit will make the muscle in your bones finer making it easier to break/sprain bones. Just eat three solid meals a day and excercise the same. That way when you do start eating again your metabolism doesn t make you gain the weight back.Good Luck!!

Its not like you weight 300 pounds and want to lose 20 pounds, you only weight 150 and at 5 10 that is pretty lean. Your weight loss is slowing down because your body doesn t have much more to fat to give up so its somewhat of a survival/starvation mode that is setting in.

Okay...I only started five Mondays ago and All I do is walk one hour every morning. I wear a calorie counter monitor to loose weight by the numbers. I have already lost two pant size and 27 pounds. I am a woman and have three kids and this is the method I use when I gain weight.. I am now at a size two and everyone is always amazed that I have had three kids. This is what I do below when I throw on a few extra pounds. It always works..No diet pills, no energy drinks..just me walking and getting the water I need. Of course I watch what I eat and the Lean Cuisine meals are great for that since the calories per box are 180 to 380 per box. Just make sure you eat healthy every three to four hours so your body will perform at its max. Here it is:Helpful Tips for weight loss:1)A good way to loose weight is to use a calorie counter watchKeep to a 1,200 food intakeAdd 1,200 plus 3,500 (equals one pound of fat) ...and that is the total amount of calories you need to burn each day. Its actually really easy once you start watching the numbers and it doesn t seem like work or exercise. Its just a matter of changing the way you think about loosing weight.I use this method when i gain some pounds. The first time I did this I went from 168 to 1272) Most people do not get enough water in their system. Water is your body s principal chemical component, comprising, on average, 60 percent of your weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don t have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. To determine if you are getting enough water use this simple formula.. Take your weight, for example 150 pounds and divide by 2. Take your answer which is 75 lbs and change it to ounces, in this case 75 ounces. That is how many ounces of water you need a day. Your body performs mostly on water. If you make sure you get enough water everyday your body will perform at top notch and your body will no longer have the cravings of junk food. You will have a better performing body system to help you work out and feel better thru out your day.

Here are a few tips:1. You MUST exercise if you want to lose weight and keep it off, so do something every day, even if its just a 15-minute walk around the neighborhood. Dont say you dont have time for exercise; you have to MAKE time. Yes, it takes time and effort, but youre worth it, right?2. Walk as much as you want, but dont do cardio for more than 40 minutes at a time. If you do, you risk burning muscle instead of fat.3. If you do strength training, use light weights and do lots of repetitions. Thatll really help you tone up.4. Your diet will make you or break you. You have probably learned bad eating habits over time (most people do). Thats not your fault, but now you have to deal with it. Make a commitment to yourself to unlearn those bad habits and re-learn better habits.5. Eat breakfast every day within an hour of getting up. People who dont are 450% more likely to be overweight.6. Eat six small meals or snacks per day instead of three squares per day or one big meal per day. Your body expends energy digesting your food, so eating smaller portions more often keeps your metabolism running high because youre constantly digesting food.7. Avoid these as much as possible:-- Trans fat (any type of partially or fully hydrogenated oil)-- High fructose corn syrup (soft drinks are LOADED with it)-- Fast food-- Junk food-- White sugar, white flour, white rice, white potatoes-- The deadly Cs (cookies, cakes, candy, chips, cola)8. Build your diet around these trim-body-friendly foods:-- Nuts, any kind (almonds are best)-- Beans/Legumes-- Fresh vegetables (green is GREAT!!!)-- Dairy products (as long as theyre low-fat or non-fat)-- Eggs-- Lean meats (fish and poultry top the list)-- Olive oil-- Whole grain breads/cereals/pasta-- Fresh fruits (anything that ends in berry is a winner)-- Tea (green tea or black pekoe tea)-- Cold water or ice water (your body has to expend extra calories to heat it up)9. Desserts and treats are the exception, not the rule. Having said that, however, (1) you can have a couple of pieces of chocolate every day C just dont overdo, and (2) Allow yourself one cheat meal every week where you eat and drink whatever you want as long as you dont gorge yourself. Thatll help keep you from feeling deprived and itll make it easier to stick with your new healthy eating plan.Good luck!

I would recommend muscle gain over weight loss since you lost a lot of weight already.Try supplements like Whey to get sculpted.I know the feeling being overweight myself that you need to get slimmer and slimmer but you might go overboard to the point of being skinny
