There is only ONE way to lose weight and keep it off, and that s to make permanent changes to your eating and exercise habits. You re overweight because you consume more than your body needs and you don t get enough exercise. Doesn t mean you re lazy or a glutton (or a bad person), but it does mean you ve learned some bad habits over time. The good news is YOU are in control. You CAN become slim and trim for life if you do it the right way. Here are a few tips:1. You MUST exercise if you want to lose weight and keep it off, so do something every day, even if its just a 15-minute walk around the neighborhood. Dont say you dont have time for exercise; you have to MAKE time. Yes, it takes time and effort, but youre worth it, right?2. Walk as much as you want, but dont do cardio for more than 40 minutes at a time. If you do, you risk burning muscle instead of fat.3. If you do strength training, use light weights and do lots of repetitions. Thatll really help you tone up.4. Your diet will make you or break you. You have probably learned bad eating habits over time (most people do). Thats not your fault, but now you have to deal with it. Make a commitment to yourself to unlearn those bad habits and re-learn better habits.5. Eat breakfast every day within an hour of getting up. It kick-starts your metabolism. Studies have shown that people who skip breakfast are 450% more likely to be overweight than those who eat breakfast every day.6. Eat six small meals or snacks per day instead of three squares per day or one big meal per day. If you eat too much at one sitting, your body stores the extra calories as fat. Go too long between meals and your metabolism slows down. Your body expends energy digesting your food, so eating smaller portions more often keeps your metabolism running high because youre constantly digesting food.7. Avoid these as much as possible:-- Trans fat (any type of partially or fully hydrogenated oil)-- High fructose corn syrup (soft drinks are LOADED with it)-- Fast food-- Junk food-- White sugar, white flour, white rice, white potatoes-- The deadly Cs (cookies, cakes, candy, chips, cola)8. Build your diet around these trim-body-friendly foods:-- Nuts, any kind (almonds are best)-- Beans/Legumes-- Fresh vegetables (green is GREAT!!!)-- Dairy products (as long as theyre low-fat or non-fat)-- Eggs-- Lean meats (fish and poultry top the list)-- Olive oil-- Whole grain breads/cereals/pasta-- Fresh fruits (anything that ends in berry is a winner)-- Tea (green tea or black pekoe tea)-- Cold water or ice water (your body has to expend extra calories to heat it up)9. Desserts and treats are the exception, not the rule. Having said that, however, (1) you can have a couple of pieces of chocolate every day C just dont overdo, and (2) Allow yourself one cheat meal every week where you eat and drink whatever you want as long as you dont gorge yourself. Thatll help keep you from feeling deprived and itll make it easier to stick with your new healthy eating plan.Good luck! The three great essentials to achieve anything worthwhile are first, hard work; second, stick-to-itiveness; third, common sense.-- Thomas Alva Edison, inventor extraordinaire
Believe it or not but the fine way to loose calorie is by eating more food but which is less in fats because if you eat less the calorie burn process gets slow and the calorie is stored in the stomach and the best best best way to get rid of it is eating more food but less in calorie and not sleeping after eating but going for a little walk also run in morning not too much but according to your physique.
I didn t consider myself severely overweight, but I am 5 4 tall and was 170 pounds. I lost 35 pounds by doing these simple things: 1. I drank half a gallon (sometimes a gallon) a day2. didn t eat any fried foods3. stopped eating pork4. ate red meat about once every two weeks (still do, only now the only red meat I eat is deer and lamb)5. pan seared, baked, or grilled meat, fish, and poultry6. walked or rode my bike atleast 30 min. a day 5 days a week 7. for snacks i ate fruit. I did indulge in chocolates atleast once a week8. I didn t eat dinner after 6:00When I started I was losing about 5-7 pounds a week for the first three weeks. After that I was losing between 2-3 pounds.
I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The toxins get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast. Good luck whatever you decide to do! http://diet4cleansing.tripod.com
I wouldn t eat less than 1000 calories a day! My doctor told me to consume 1100 calories a day. If you exercise you can have more. The trick is to burn more calories than you take in but Remember...your body burns calories just to function. You must feed it.
