How to lose weight? important!? -

how can you lose weight fairly quickly but healthily?i know there is no instant weight loss but what works?

Well first of all, I m going to warn you about some myths and things NOT to do, then I ll give you some tips. MYTH: six small meals are better then three large ones. A lot of people think six small meals is better for weight loss, but really it s no better or worse then a regular three meals. As long as what you eat is healthy and you are keeping an eye on calories, you should do whatever is more convenient. MYTH: Carbs are bad. Low carb diets are bad for you. In the case of people with certain health problems, they HAVE to avoid carbs, but for a normal individual who exercies, carbs are good, as they give you energy. A low carb diet is practically a starvation diet. However, there are bad carbs and good carbs. The bad ones are found in fried, high fat type foods. The good ones are found in healthy foods like granola, oatmeal, pasta, and whole wheat bread. MYTH: Drinking water makes you lose weight. Water is good for you, and you should make sure you get enough. It has many health benefits and you should always drink it after exercising a lot, but no, it s not going to make you lose weight. MYTH: You can never have unhealthy food or it will ruin your diet. Diets with no breaks or rewards are boring and too easy to give up on. Although you want to avoid unhealthy junk food, you should have a free day once per week, in which you enjoy whatever you want. Anyway, those are a few common ones. The keys to weight loss are, obviously, diet and exercise, but never go on too strict a diet. Rather, you should have a healthy eating plan, in which you limit your intake of junk food, fast food, or otherwise unhealthy food, and make sure you get balanced meals including all the food groups, particularly fruit and vegetables. But like I said above, junk food once per week is all right, in fact if you have eaten healthy all week, and exercised, you are supposed to give yourself a reward. As for exercise, cardiovascular exercises are what help you lose weight (running, biking, swimming, hiking, dance, ect.) If you have never exercised before, then you can start out with 30-40 minutes of it per day, or at least 5 days a week. As you get in shape, then once a week you should make it a bit harder, for example, up the time to 50 minutes, or if you can t do it longer, up the intensity. Which means work a little harder every week. If you are walking, then try running for half the time, or if you re biking, try to go faster... Some options for exercise: Join a local Fitness Club: Once you have a membership, you can go in anytime and jog on the tredmill or whatever. There are multiple exercise machines to pick from, and you can ask whoever is working there to help you out if you ve got questions. Exercise around the neighborhood: If you don t have the money for a fitness membership, you can just jog or bike around the block of your neighborhood. Find out when races are: Usually, there are some every week if you know where to look, from short three mile jogs to full 26 mile marathons. Tip: Get a buddy to exercise with you. Oh and lastly, just remember, never eat below 1,500 calories per day, and don t skip breakfast. Skipping breakfast makes you gain weight. In fact, skipping any meal is bad. Also, try to avoid eating after 7pm, as late night snacks also cause weight gain. Good luck.

Well I lost 10 pounds in two weeks by keeping a journal. This is what one of the pages looked like:Saturday, September 20th, 2008Goals for today:-exercise for at least 45 minutes-drink at least 6 glasses of water todayExercise planned for today:-soccer game at 10:30 amBreakfast:-life cereal with milkLunch:-tuna sandwich on whole wheat bread-1/2 apple-1 cookie with milkDinner:-burrito with sour cream-side salad with ranch dressing-1 brownie-waterThis was today. I am still losing weight. I have different goals and exercise plans every day and I record my meals as I eat them. Always remember to put the date on the top of the page. By the way, I m 13 yeas old. Also, try this as a daily exercise:http://www.easy-weightloss-tips.com/target-exercises.html

A quick reply to your question would be; combine interval training with a calorie deficit in your diet low enough to allow your resting metabolic rate to burn enough calories per day to help you lose weight. I highly suggest working out how many calories per day you should drop your diet by to start losing weight by using the calculator you can download at http://caloriedefecitcalculator.blogspot There are also some very useful tips on http://weightburningsecretsrevealed.blogThe best of luck with your weight loss journey!
