How to lose weight? -

I am 13 years old and about 5 6 -5 7 . I am about 170 and think I need to lose about 30-50 pounds. Do you think it is possible to do it by May or June? What are some tips or directions on dieting, exercising, and losing weight? PLEASE AND THANKS SO MUCH!

eat less, do more. read a book on nutrition so you can recognize the high calorie foods.

Eat anything you want. But switch to a completely Certified Organic diet. My boyfriend is about your same build, and just by switching to all organic he lost 15 pounds within a month. In two months, I lost 10 pounds. We didn t have to give up pizza, chocolate--nothing. Just make sure what you re eating is Certified Organic. I know it sounds crazy, and if I hadn t done it myself, I wouldn t have believed it. But it s true. How to convince your parents to spend more money on Organic food? You may spend more money, but you eat less, so it evens out.

Hey Justin. I would suggest to you to start drinking alto of juices and eating plenty o fruit. Also try to eat alto of fish and veggies instead of all that fatty food that is breaded. Salads work good and instead of ranch dressing use a combination of lime juice and vinegar with garlic pepper California Style. It is a spice in the spice isle made by MC Cormick. Another thing would be eat one good meal preferably before 5pm and just eat fruits and veggie snacks after five. Yogurt and Whole grain cereals are good too. On your work outs I would stick to alto of stretches of the arms and abdominal leg stretches and crunches or sit ups as well. After you have done that for about 2-3 weeks start to walk then jog and then move up to a run, In combination with your stretches and Crunches or sit ups. Rotate on day to day basis, but always do the stretches. Keep the diet and anything is possible you might even loose it faster than you thought.

We can t recommend much scince you are only 13 years old. It s not that you are unfit for such measures it s just we don t want you finking on the internet that we made you quit eating, become bulimic or start smoking. Best thing to do little buddy is to take all the food your going to eat in a day or a week. See how much of this you can exchange for healthier items. Also if you are going to work out eat lots of carbs you ll need to burn this as energy. You will always burn calories. REMEMBER DON T overlift while working out. Make sure you do a consistant mix of exersize. Mabye talk to your phys-ed teacher, parents, Doctor on fitness proffesional. Oh ya, girls like the big strong type. You never know, you might grow in height. If you lost 50 pounds and held that weight all while growing in height you would be to skinny to get a date. So keep your head up Big Guy and you ll accomplish your goals. Just make sure you take time to think it out the fist time. It takes longer thinking how to do it right later. CHEVEZ

losing about 1 lb a week, or at most 2, would be healthy.... that means about 18 pounds every 2 months... u probably can lose atleast 30 lbs, but u need to do it right. DO NOT skip meals. eat well, and keep a food journal... don t eat when ur bored.. go for a walk or do soemthing good. avoid watching tv while u eat... u WILL overeat. stay away from junk food. Think about your health.,.. dieting is changing your lifestyle. Don t you want to be healthy? ask yourself that. Nutritional facts on all food is excellent! Check out fiber (which makes u full-those foods will be filling) calcium is excellent. drink atleast one cup of nonfat milk daily, (especially at your age! you re growing..) Remember, be healthy... don t do anything stupid, you re still a kid, you re growing.. eat right, and be careful. Make sure you EAT though, i cant stress this enough. without eating, your body thinks its fasting, so it holds onto FAT. It lets go of the heaviest thing, muscle... You perhaps weight a little more than the average for your height, but you are 13 year old, you are still growing... Please do no attempt to lose 30-50 pound... that is not healthy for a teenage.Eliminate junk food completely... you are a teenage, leave it just for very special occasions. Try to eat healthier and but i think exercising is the clue. Is there any sport you like? You do not need to represent your school, just to be constant on a sport... even if you stayed in the same weight, soon you will be thin.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming,running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions,pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull,leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu s even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)
