Should one hour of walking and 20 sit ups every day help you lose weight? -

I m trying to lose 35 lbs by the beginning of my next school year (next year) and I wanna know if wlking on the treadmill, doing 20 situps every night and eating approx. 1800 calories will help me lose weight. Please getget back to me as soon as possible. Also if possible could you give me some more pointers on how to lose weight.

anything will help you loose weight little by little that involves with moving or doing something other than sitting down. yes 1 hour of walking everyday is good, don t we all walk? but why not jog or walk more? and watch out for those high cholestrol food...

You have to vary the intensitey of your walking or it won t do you any good. After a few weeks your body will get used to walking and you will have to walk longer to get the same results. Walk for a few minutes then jog for a few minutes then RUN for a minute and repeat. This way your body does not get used to it and it will get your heart pumping. As far as sit ups go they are not going to get your abs ripped. You lose fat throughout your body as a whole. You can t pick and choose where the fat is going to be burned off. sit ups will help you lose some because your getting your heart rate up. Becarful with your eating as well. If you want to lose weight you actually need to eat more. If you severly cut your calories down your body will go into starvation mode and will store up every little bit of fat it can because it doesn t know when it is going to eat again. To change this you need to eat 5 or six smaller meal per day. Think about it like animals. Grazing animals like deer or horses are very lean and fit. The eat a little bit at a time but eat all day. Bears gourge themselves once or so a week and store up fat. The trick is to eat just enough at 1 meal to get you throught about 3 hours then eat again. You don t want to get a hungry feeling. Once your body gets used to eating like this it will begin to burn off the fat because it doesn t have to worry about not eating. Your body will know that your going to be eating again very soon so it will burn off the stored fat instead of muscle.

The sit ups wont help much in the way of losing weight but once you lose enough weight you will have ripped abs.Walking one hour a day will helpThe progress may slow down after a while so you may want to increase your walking pace when you see you are not losing weight as fast. Also increase the number of ab exercises you do and the amount once 20 sit-ups a day is too easy for you.
