A diet plan to lose about 30 pounds in 8 months and keep it off.? -

First, assume that your calorie needs are about 200-300 less than what they actually are. To eat, start eating smaller portions, so even if you have two servings, those two servings are equal to one of the bigger servings you ate before. Then, start exercising more, even if its little things like walking a little farther before taking the bus or driving. In terms of food, cut out the fast food!!!!! That is the best thing you can do. Also, if you can, cut out as much beef as you can, replacing it with chicken. If at all possible, and I know it s hard, don t eat dessert every night. Or have it every night, but change your idea of dessert. Like instead if chocolate ice cream, eat an italian ice or full fruit ice pop. Energy drinks are just empty calories, and you don t need them. Home remedies such as exercising in front of the TV, like doing crunches during the commercials, or walking on a treadmill, or even dancing in front of the TV. I have lost 25 pounds in 2 months. I joined the totally free sparkpeople.com website which is for adults and there is sparkteens for teens. Anyway they have a meal plan but you can turn that off and enter your own food. which is what I did. They ask you questions and based on that they give you a calorie, fat, carb, protein range to stay in each day. The site is very interactive, make a page like on myspace, add pics and backgrounds, and add friends from the site who will support you. There are lots of teams you can join like people for your state, reading clubs, diabetes clubs and it is endless or make up your own team. There are lots of articles about healthy living and exercise videos etc. I did not exercise for my first month and second month I did 35 minutes on the treadmill burning 320 calories 7 days a week. You easily enter your food, many of the foods are already in their system because members share or you can enter the nutrtional info and then it saves it so you dont have to do it again into your favorites. You should be able to acheive that no problem as long as you exercise and maintain a healthy diet. Try Weight Watchers, everyone I know who has stuck to it has gotten good results. You ll want to do some cardio as well. If you re used to doing nothing, start with a long walk and build your way up to running... good luck =)
