Can i lose weight on my stomach and thighs if i start a lower calorie intake? -

im a 14 year old girl and alotta people in my family are nagging me to lose weight, my body just needs to be toned down thats all but will portioning my meals and avoiding other bad foods help me lose weight fast?

Families can be the worst on kids. Sorry to hear they are nagging you. Here s the deal about healthy weight loss. You can t just take it off certain areas, staying consistant with your exercise and diet will eventually pay off.Basic premise behind weight loss is calories in verses calories out. So you need to burn more calories than you eat. This best done with a combination a good balanced meal plan or diet, (what ever you choose to call it) and exercise. There are 3 major ways we burn calories during the day: resting metabolic rate (RMR), the thermic effect of food (TEF), and physical activity energy expenditure (PAEE). RMR is the number of calories we burn to maintain our vital body processes in a resting state. TEF results from eating food, and is the increase in energy expended above your RMR. PAEE accounts for the remainder of your daily energy expenditures. Included in PAEE is the energy expended in exercise and the activities of daily livingTo achieve a healthy body weight and optimal body composition, the key is to maximize your metabolism and reduce your caloric intake. To increase your metabolism, you should: (1) increase your muscle mass by performing resistance exercise two to three days per week (e.g., working out with elastic bands, weights, stability balls, body bars, etc.); (2) work up to at least 200 minutes of aerobic exercise per week (e.g., walking, jogging, bicycling, step aerobics, etc.; and (3) eat a low- (but not too low) calorie diet. Eating less than 1,200 calories per day has been shown to decrease your metabolism. Active women should eat about 1,500 calories per day. I had great success with having my clients follow the Zone meal plan. 40-30-30. Remember, there is no miracle pill or other quick-fix solution for jump-starting a persons metabolism. One who is willing to make simple lifestyle changes and be consistent in their application will reap the future benefits of a healthy body weight and composition. Good Luck, hope this helps

Yes you can. To lose weight here s a suggestion:Eat more of fresh fruits, vegetables and raw nuts. These kinds of food are fat burners and so are spices and green tea. Check out: http://waytoloseweight.net/ for more of these fat burners.Eat a good breakfast one that is high in fiber and low-fat. And don t skip breakfast, skipping it would slow down body metabolism and make you gain weight.Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily. Oftentimes thirst is mistaken for hunger and by drinking plenty of water you would tend to eat less.Avoid food and drinks high in sugar. Sugar induces the pancreas to release insulin making the body store fat. That is the reason why diabetics who take insulin have the tendency to gain weight.Exercise for at least 30 minutes(1 hour is better) daily or on most days. Brisk walking, jogging, bicycling/biking(real or stationary) are good for weight loss. Adequate exercise boosts metabolism enabling the body to lose weight even when at rest.

There is really no secret to weight loss. All you need to do is eat less calories than your body burns in a day. One thing that is very important is to make sure that you are eating a healthy amount of carbs, proteins, and fats. Adding a 45 minute walk to your day also helps a lot in the weight loss process. There are also supplements that you can use to help give your metabolism a boost as well as add vitamins and anti-oxidants to your diet. One you should check out is the Acai Berry which is considered a Super Food because of its nutrients.

your family needs to get a clue and a grasp on reality. You re a young kid, and from what you say here, you dont sound huge , so tell your family to LAY OFF! just stay active and eat healthy, ....whole grains, whole wheat products, not white (ex...flour, sugars.....etc), lots of water, veggies, fruit and yes, even some ice cream now and then! ...just stay active...and tell your family to mind their business as they are only making it worse, and not ALL young kids have to be a size 2 to be healthy, geesus, its people like your family that give these young children poor body image, that leads to eating disorders and low self esteem,...SHAME ON THEM

daily sit-ups will work better than any diet..worked for me :]]
