Can i lose weight by drinking a protein shake or high calorie shake in place of a meal? -

i am about 200 pounds and i wish to be around 190-180 by september, along with exercise could this help me lose weight faster?

Usually losing weight is simple numbers. You need to know your basic metabolic rate (BMR). Once you know your BMR then you can design a diet lower in calories than your BMR.But.... it is not always that simple. You could also have metabolic anomalies or even hormone irregularities that can make losing weight virtually impossible. Start with the simple stuff. Calculate your BMR right here http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calcul then alter your diet if necessary. Now, if you don t see results after that you may look into the hormonal or metabolic areas. Also make sure you are being realistic, and that you do have weight to use. Don t forget... celebrities use tons of drugs and have personal trainers! We should all be so lucky 8)I have been doing the crossfit workouts and they have shredded my body big time (removed my body fat). They are pretty tough, but the results are quick!give them a try and see what you think. I usually do the WOD shttp://crossfit.com/http://www.crossfit.com/cf-info/excercisAlso to tone muscle (obviously you want a little muscle tone which is very sexy when done right) make sure you are getting plenty of protein to aid in recovery and building of new muscle tissueHere is a link for proteinhttp://www.buybulkwhey.com/

Technically you can, but its really not a good thing to do. Protein shakes are Supplements . This means that they should supplement a diet, not replace it. Body builders and weight trainers use protein shakes to get extra protein throughout the day when they re short on time, or just to boost the amount they ve had alongside solid foods. Protein shakes by themselves don t have the full range of nutrients you get from a healthy diet, and a lot of shelf bought protein mixes are loaded with sugars which will have the opposite effect of what you do (they re made like this to boost insulin levels immediately after a heavy workout - not intended for snacking on). As for high calorie shake? They re not called weight gainers for no reason! You definitely don t want one of these if you re trying to lose weight! They are calorie dense to help you pack on size, not lose it.Your best bet is to do some regular exercise and eat 3-6 healthy meals a day. By September you should be able to drop about 10lbs if you re strict with HEALTHY food choices and exercise.

What you need to do is go to a website called Bobybuilding.com and get your info on that site. It will show you what to do in order to lose weight with and without Prot shakes. But if you do drink a prot shake inplace of meal you are messing up due to the fact your body needs carbs so when you drink that shake in place of a meal find something with carbs that is a small meal. Best bet is to eat a small bowl of pasta.

replacing meals with protein shakes isn t really a good way because your not giving your body the nutrients or energy it needs from just protein. try a small healthy meal with a protein shake, as well as exercise you should meet your goal.

Yes thats a good idea to lose weight. Depending on the protein shake (make it a low calorie so you dont gain weight) most have a lot of vitamins and neutriants. You should drink one before you go to sleep though.

if u eat much calories and than burn: wait gainif u eat less calories and than burn: wait lose
