Ladies! Did you lose weight faster when you added weight training? -

I ve been struggling many years to get rid of this last 20 pounds. I lost about 80 lbs doing cardio everyday...and then a combination of settling with what I had achieved mixed with a serious plateau occurred. It s lasted a few years now!! I continue cardio...but the past few weeks I ve added about 2 nights of 40 minute toning workouts. Lunges, squats, etc...should I expect to see a difference soon? What do you think? I need encouragement I guess, hahaha...

Weight training is excellent for women. (it even prevents osteoporosis) Just remember......muscle weighs more than fat, but takes up less space. I don t measure my fitness progress by weighing myself. I would like to lose weight fast, any suggestions? -

I m planning a trip out to Mexico, I have 2-2 1/2 months to lose weight, I know it wakes time to lose it so I m not planning to do it at the last minute. I m playing lots of DDR and eating a lot less junk. Is there a fruit or a type of food that may have a type of protein that speeds up the metabolism? Or any tricks you may know? Let me in on this please!

Exercise more. DDR is an ok way to lose weight but you d have to play A LOT of it to lose a significant amount of weight. How much do you want to lose? If it s over 10 pounds you probably need to do more than the DDR. Trying joining a gym or running outside for an hour or more a day. If it s under 10 pounds I guess keep doing what your doing. I ve tried the DDR to lose weight before and it helped a bit but not a huge amount. Stay away from all treats, junk food and pop and that s cutting down on a lot of weight right there. Drinking a lot of water helps fill some of your hunger cravings and chewing gum works too.Two tricks I do to not eat as much is:1) Eat slowly. It takes a little while for you re brain to register that you re full. Eat more slowly so you don t over eat.2) Drink one glass of milk before eating meals. Spicy foods especially cayenne pepper helps speed up metabolism. Working out raises your metabolism which is why you re so hungry after a good workout, I think it s good to eat after a workout as opposed to before so that you re eating while your metabolism is higher. Meat, eggs, and nuts are high in protein. Also try morningstar foods, the meat tastes the same but it isn t meat, it s made with soy. They have corn dogs and other stuff, and it pretty much tastes the same but is way better for you. If you re cutting out a lot of food, definitely take some vitamins every day.

You are wayyy wayy to thin for your height and age. I am 14, 4 11 and I m 100 pounds, and I m normal. Go to a doctor and make sure you aren t having eating disorders. Fatten yourself up, you aren t fat at all! Don t lose weight!

i am just like you. and when i ask these question i hate the answers like these well its tough etc. ima give you actualy advice on what to eat and what excercise to do : )01. snacks are just as important as meals. 4-5 snack a day will help fight off hunger so you wont eat as much when you are eating a meal. Snacks could be 50 goldfish s(50-100 calories,which isnt alot for a tastey snack) or apples(its the BEST snack you can ever have) i promise ! or any other fruits. trail mix is okay too, but in my opinion, they taste like crap...or mixed nuts. for meals, try eating whole grain cereal with nonfat milk. (it sounds brutal but nonfat milk isnt that bad and honeynut cheerios arent bad either) Or 1 or 2 eggs. You can also cook veggies you like in water NEVER oil. and eat that for a meal. You can put spices on it to make it taste better. Coffee in the morning is good, it helps fight off hunger and dont drink starbucks or anything, make your own coffe at home ! the ones you buy in stores are FAAAT. Drink milk, WATER, orange juice because its something you can taste, it isnt fat, its good for you, and it helps fight off hunger.02. Dont bother doing crunches or anything. Just do some exercises that involves your whole body (cardio) the BEST thing you can do, which im going to start doing once i buy my swimsuit, is swimming ! its fun and you dont sweat. So you wont get zits =) and its a GREEAT way to slim down and work your muscles without bulking up. Running is also great. You can jog for 20 min. a day. And swim 30 laps 4 times a week. Or if your rlly committed do both everyday. 03. You need inspration, picture yourself and what you would look like 20 pounds thinner, how much better you ll feel walking around with your skinnier friends. Well, its practically impossible to lose 10-30 pounds in just 2 weeks. Losing weight needs time. Its not so easy that you work hard for 2 weeks and become thin. It will take few months to lose 20 pounds. As of now, eat healthy food and play some outdoor sports. That s all i can say for your age.

well it s kinda impossible to lose that much that quick. I would suggest getting something to wear for grad that looks great on you, like a special cut that slims your body a bit. I think a big thing is to lose the candy and other unnecessary sugary food/drinks. Fruit juices aren t that good for you and have almost as much sugar as soda. How can i lose weight fast? -

remember i am only 14 yrs old so i need a quick and easy way to lose weight i dont care what just give me anything good or anything u know that works great i already lift 100lbs every day 100x but i need to do more what should i do?

the only way to lose weight healthy is by eating a little less and exercising a little more.

Do not attempt dieting. Try to eat light and many meals everyday, like 5-8 meals. Remember to eat breakfast (but do not eat heavy meals) because you will eat more the next meal if you try to diet. This will result in you getting even fatter.Do more exercise :) It always works.

excercising and eating right are the best ways, especially if your 14 because you re still growing, and everything you do now WILL effect you later, losing two lbs a week is a HEALTHY rate, so i wouldnt try to lose more than that, but if you want to excersise more i would do more cardio like jogging and swimming, aerobics etc.. lifting weights adds muscle mass and muscle actually wieghs more than fat, so by lifting weights you re actually adding mass to yourself if would lift weights only 3 times a week especially because you dont want to ruin your muscles by overworking them

Well kiddo! Your at the prime age to become big and strong. I m gonna give you a few different tips for different things you mentioned. To lose weight- drink water, watch carbs, run run run. If you run on a machine the count calories and just add them up thru out the week. 2,000 calories = 1 bound hard to lose fat. If no machine, run 30 min to speed up heart rate. Now, if you want to be big and strong like these body builders- eat protein and drink protein shakes. Whey protein to be specific. This packs on muscle if you work out corretcly. My husband does steak and burgers, summer sausage, hot dogs, tuna, ect. Fish is actually the healthiest tho. Good luck!
