What experiences have you had with weight loss programs? Which seems to work best? Curves? Weight Watchers? -

What was your personal experience with weigh loss programs like Weight Watchers and Curves? Was it difficult to commit to and follow the program? Were the results quick? Did they last?

weight watchers was simple and I could eat what i wanted as long as i stayed in my point rangemy sister did curves and lost 60 pounds but regained it after she started dating again mine however has lasted for the past 5 years

if you want to slim down . its simple..dont fall for all the bs you see on infomercials.. simply have a lower calorie intake than what you burn..its as simple as that

Ive never done Weight Watchers, but my mom has. She lost like 75 pounds in a year and has kept the weight off, she is also still losing weight. Id reccommend Weight Watchers because it worked great for her.

CHECK OUT YOURSELFFITNESS.COM its so cool

It s simple! You don t need those places. Count calories.... it s that simple if you take in to many calories you will continue to gain weight. If you take in the right amount of calories each day you will either loose weight or maintain depending on your level of activity.1200-1500 calories a day is a good amount for someone who is active - you will loose weight..... If you are taking anything more than 1500 calories a day you will keep gaining!Good Luck!

HelloA lot of people make bad decisions when trying to lose weight. Research is a very important factor in losing the weight and keeping it off. There is a lot of information on losing weight the right way on the link below: http://www.internetincomepackage.com/he/?check=ashley0521It really works - try it - I did and I have no regrets!!!

My mom has been on Weight Watchers for over five years, and has lost over 100 lbs. The results are steady and the support helps her stick to it. Nothing worked for her until she tried Weight Watchers. It s more a lifestyle change than a weight loss program. I would highly recommend it!P.S. She also goes to the gym every single day.

atkins is the best if you hate to exercise like me. only problem is you gain the weight back right away. If you are looking for a great program though that really works...try beachbody.com. It teaches you how to eat, what exercises to do, has an online support board and is just all around great. I got down to the same weight i was as a teenager in 90 days using power 90. Dont get slim in 6 or the other cheaper ones though, because i just dont think they are as good. If you buy the bands get all 3, they are much cheaper than buying weights and they work just as well for losing weight. plus the website has tons of before and after pics so you can get an idea of what results you will get in 90 days

Professional weight loss program (facts)? -

Im pretty sure their are many new diets of the day popping up everywhere but what Im looking for is a long healthy and proven program that works. Im not looking for losing a whole bunch of weight for the High School Reunion or that event next week. These are my dimensions, Im 5 3 (stocky built) and 170 lb. I like the type of work out that are not conventional in the sense that it requires balance, strength, and coordination at the same time. Im not stupid either when it comes to knowing how long it takes your body to figure out it doesn t need a certain exercise anymore or until it needs a new diet. I just want a professional opinion on is it necessary to work out 5-6 times a week or can it be confined to 2-3 thoughtfully and balanced workouts. Balanced foods (how many times what times), work out in morning or night. The little things that make a big difference. I am committed to change and don t want to be fooled into a plan that dosent work so please give creditable advice. Thanks

I m no professional but here s what works for me:It s really very simple. There are 2 categories of workouts and you only need to focus on one of those for weight loss.1. Resistance training - weight lifting, sit-ups, push-ups, etc.2. Cardiovascular Training - walking/running, swimming, jumping jacks, dancing to the oldies, etc.You need only to focus on #2 for weight loss. #1 is good for muscle tone but does little for weight loss.Cardiovascular exercises are simple and you don t need any fancy equipment. For successful weight loss, all you need to do is any body movements that get your heart rate higher than normal. That s what cardiovascular workouts are all about. They simply get your heart rate up and burn off fat.You will need to keep your heart rate up for longer than 20 minutes per session in order to achieve a successful burn. The body takes that much time to warm up and begin the burn. Any huffy-puffy activity will work such as walking, running, going up and down stairs, vigorous dancing, jumping rope, just anything that makes you huff and puff. That s the key - huff and puff for over 20 minutes a session. This is how your body burns off fat.CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR FOR ADVICE ON THE SAFEST WORKOUT FOR YOU.Don t get discouraged!Contrary to popular TV, there is no such thing as targeting an area of your body for weight loss. The reality is that you will see the fattest part of your body lose weight last! You will notice it first in your face. The thickest fat is the last to go so don t lose heart if you don t see your targeted area going anywhere at first.Simply create a huffy-puffy workout for yourself that lasts over 20 minutes per session and stick to a daily routine for best results.Another tip is don t rely on what the scales say everyday. That will discourage you. The better way to monitor your progress is to observe your clothes getting looser. The scales can be misleading because as you lose weight, typically you are also building muscle mass. This dual change may look like you are not losing fat when you actually are.Checking your heart rate. Take your fingers of your left hand and place them about an inch to the right of the center of your right hand wrist as it faces palm up. This should be at your right-hand wrist below your thumb. You should feel a pulse there. Now count the number of beats in a 6 second period. Multiply that number by 10 and that s your heart rate. A reasonably safe and effective heart rate during an exercise burn is about 120 for most people 30C50 years old.A bland diet will speed the weight loss up for sure. But if you re like me, starting a daily exercise program plus starting a bland diet is just too emotionally stressful (wink, wink). So, I say, for those of us who want some type of reward for working out everyday, continue enjoying your favorite foods - just cut your portions down. Train yourself to learn when you are satisfied as you eat a meal and stop eating at that point rather than eating until you feel full. You ll be surprised at how early in the meal you are satisfied. So, just stop eating at that point. Make a habit of it.I am a 52 year old male and I am using a programmed treadmill which uses a combination walk/ 5 mph. run workout for 30 minutes a day. I am losing 2-3 pounds a week just doing that and cutting my favorite food portions back the way I mentioned before. My peak heart rate during this routine is 140. (Just telling you this in hopes that it will give you some idea of what 30 minutes a day will do for you so you can adjust your workout to suit your targeted weight loss time frame.) Good luck! I hope this helps.

Everybody is different so don t go to buy the next big diet that they throw out on the market. There is a website on the internet where they actually have a weight loss expert record a CD specifically for you! I heard people are getting Great results! They send you a questionaire and ask that you fill it out as honestly as possible, then they get to work! Its like having your very own personal trainer in your CD player! check it out and I hope that it helps! http://www.PersonalizedWeightLoss.net

Is diet coke ok for a weight loss program? -

I am on a fairly strict, high protein low fat diet. I think it would be okay, because it has like, no calories or sugar or anything? But people tell me it will hinder progress?I think it s bad for you coz of chemicals and that? But would it actually affect weight loss?

It will hinder your progress. When you drink artificial sweeteners, your body doesn t recognize that you ve had something sweet and will still crave something with sugar. Also, your body tends to know how many calories it has consumed based on how food tastes. When you use artificial sweeteners, your body gets confused because it s had a lot of sweet stuff and yet no calories. So it can no longer be an accurate judge of how many calories you ve had and you will eat too much.I know it sounds like a bunch of bull, but it s true. Artificial sweeteners will wreck your diet. Look at how fat our country has gotten since diet soft drinks first came on the market. Don t use them.

If you absolutely cannot resist drinking Diet Coke, than do so sparingly. It is not just because of all of the artificial sweeteners and other chemicals that make Diet Coke unhealthy. Carbonation, aspartame, and other ingredients contained within the soda also make it rather unhealthy. If you consume it, my advice would be to do so in moderation. Now, alternatively, if you can resist drinking pop and/or Diet Coke, I would personally substitute your cravings for a good old glass of water.Water is the most underrated beverage and the most healthy as well.Hope this helps.

I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it s good for the heart. However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I ve found a great addition to help any one out, it s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it s the best pill I ve tried and I ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

I would like to recommend you my weight loss method that works amazing. I find correct weight loss method and applied the method, then I lost weight easy. You need to have the method that works. You can find the best method weight loss that worked for me and lost 12 pounds after 3 weeks. You can find more information from http://bit.ly/djbnvioe2

although its called diet coke, it doesnt really help diets.scientists did a study on animals that showed that if you drink any of those diet soda drinks, in the long run it makes you way hungrier. which wouldn t really help a diet....but if the amount of food is not the problem then go ahead :P

No its dangerous for you. It may be calorie free but it has other dangerous chemicals which can cause chaos in your body. Aspartame can do this which is in diet coke, sodas, etc. It may not affect weight loss.

It s much better if you stick to water, or vitamin waters.Allow yourself a diet coke every now and then to stop monotony.

I lost 40lbs over 6 months through eating healthy and exercising and during those 6 months i drunk a shiiit load of diet coke, diet fanta, coke zero etc! It didn t slow my weight loss down one bit!

Dont drink coke, even if its diet cuz its pumped up with fake sugar and other sugary things. it probably says no sugar thats true but they just make chemical things to put in that r as bad as sugar

No coke is good for weight loss, drink green tea

Good for weight-loss, bad for your health.

How can I lose weight quickly? -

I have a football game later and I have to weigh in 115 and I m 116.5. How can I lose this in like 4 hours?I haven t eaten since last night, I took an exlax, I ran 5 miles with a trashbag on my body and a sweatshirt.Any tips?

You can t..in four hours!!

One thing that will help you lose weight: diet pills. I was one of those who did not believe in them until I tried it. And I tried a few. The best product I found on the market is made with pure hoodia and it works great! You can go to http://www.think-fit and order you free trial, also you only pay 5.49$ shipping and handling. Good luck!

That s pretty unhealthy. The other thing is, scales vary greatly, so unless you ve been weighing yourself on the official scale, you might get a surprise when you get weighed. I guess if I were you, I d wear as little as I possibly could. Skip the underwear, skip the socks and shoes. Every little bit counts.

if ur a football player and only weigh that much.......you need help............ru like 12 years old?

I came across this great product for weight loss and it was excellent for me. Together with a good diet and exercise I am finally happy with my body and the way I look. You should check this product at http://www.get-trim.info , they have a free trial and you only pay 5.49$ shipping and handling. A must!

How to lose weight Quickly? -

Hi, I want to lose weight but I don t want to be anorexic, bulemic or go on a crazy diet, so how do lose weight! So any ideas?

if u wanna lose weight fast, do skipping and running, intensively(like nonstop) and eat small portions, then you will lose weight

Im on a Weight Loss Program, I didnt do so well this week, should I go to the meeting/consultation this SUN? -

My consultant is very tough. I know I gained one pound. I just don t want to go because I feel that, she s going to be so disappointed in me. What should I do? This will be the Third time I went up but never more than One pound.

Keep going. Everyone has setbacks. If your consultant is too tough - find a new one. They are supposed to be supportive. But if you miss, you ll just find yourself having more setbacks. Face the music.

Working out makes me feel fat!? -

i know for a fact that i ve gained weight the past few months!i m not active, i eat when i m bored, i eat, and i eat, and i eat. i ve become a binge eater. it s really crazy.i even went through a phase where i would eat a ton, feel like crap, and barf it up.i want to lose weight quickly and healthfully but i know this is a terrible mind-set.whenever i work out i feel so fat and out of shape! i hate it! i hate feeling my belly bat roll and looking down and seeing my bloated fatty stomach.i did the master cleanse and ate really well for about two days and then started binging again.it s terrible. i don t even eat unhealthy foods. i ll stuff myself with raisins, raw pecans, tortillas, fruits, vegetables, and other healthy items, occasionally (very rarely) eating a bowl of ice cream or some chocolate covered almonds.i m not necessarily over-weight , being 6 2 and weighing 147 lbs, but my belly is growing, my arms are becoming flab, i m getting cellulite on my legs.i really want to feel good about myself and get my butt into shape.help me!

Try eating really healthfully for a week and doing basic strength training exercises. After that, start a good cardio program--either go running, join a gym, or even try getting a personal trainer who will help you get into shape. And, don t stuff yourself! Even healthy foods will add up in calories if you eat a ton. Set yourself a strict eating plan--have 3 healthy meals a day that you plan ahead, and a small 100-200 calorie snack between lunch and dinner to curb your cravings. Also, a good alternitive to dessert is tea, which has no calories unless you add sugar. Green tea actully boosts your metabolism, which can help flatten your tummy. plus it has all those antixodent :)btw i ll plan out meals and stuff for you if you email me. i think it would be fun to help somebody
