Have you tried Jenny Craig Weight Loss Program? -

Has Jenny Craig worked for anyone out there? I want to hear some personal testimonies of people who have done the program - Both good and bad reviews, please!!

I have had success with Jenny Craig. The basics of this program are that your meals are planned for the day and the calories are already counted for you. (my days consist of eating 1200 calories) I first went on the program in 1995 and lost 25 pounds in a little less than 6 months. This weight loss was all I needed to be at my ideal weight. I didn t do much strenuous exercise, I took a mile or two walk about 4 or 5 times per week. Since my first round of Jenny Craig in 1995, I gained about 10 pounds a couple times... Whenever I d see myself gaining a little weight like that, I put myself back on the program to lose those 10 lbs. I learned how to eat better by being on Jenny Craig and learned portion control. BUT, it s easier for me to just go back on the plan and eat Jenny Craig entrees for a few months to easily lose 10 lbs. if I happened to have a few bad months of NOT eating properly. With Jenny Craig, it s sort of like having a nutritionist or a personal chef planning your meals for you. Of course, the goal of Jenny Craig is to slowly ween you off of their food and teach you how to prepare your own meals with the proper balance of fat, protein, starches etc and they DO teach you this. I just find its easier to jump back on the program for an easy way to lose 10 pounds. Since my original weight loss of 25 lbs., I haven t gained more than 10 back... and that 10 lb. weight gain is MY fault for eating fast food too much or snacking too much. I truly learned how to eat properly by doing Jenny Craig, I just don t always follow the rules... when I fall off the healthy eating wagon for a few months, Jenny Craig is my savior to get myself back on track. =) Bottom line is to eat less / move more. Jenny Craig can help you accomplish that in a very organized way, but for continued success and a healthy weight you need to learn portion control, proper food choices and get some exercises. Good Luck!

Don t spend money on it please. If you wan t weight loss help I can help you through email, phone or yahoo, just don t waste money. The simplest way to tell you how to lose weight is this.90% Diet, 10% Exercise.Starts and ends in your kitchen.Eat around 1400 calories/day.And if you are willing to exercise, it will speed up the process.Run/jog 4 times a week, and that will be enough.Run a mile that s it, it will take you anywhere from 6-11 minutes, depending on speed. So the 1400 calories, those should not include these foods:Bread (High Calorie breads)Pasta, Rice....Cheese and dairy... high calories and fatty..Sugary, Buttery, Sweet, Oily, Fried... all this is what is making you gain weight...Don t eat eggs for breakfast, high calorie and fatty...The best foods to eat for weight loss are..Turkey, Roast Beef, Tuna, Condiments in sandwiches like, lettuce, mustard, onions, pickles tomatoes...Air popped popcorn is good... and baby carrots are great...Please, you will need the money for groceries, forget jenny craig, I have lost 70 lbs, and I can help you, feel free to email me, I can help you with the diet and exercise, diet is the main part, you don t need to exercise...Starts and ends in your kitchen.Jad, 19, Male.

I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it s good for the heart. However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I ve found a great addition to help any one out, it s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace dot com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it s the best pill I ve tried and I ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

before you pay for a weight loss program you should have a look here. http://www.weight-watchers.webs.com its some very popular programs that are free for limited time. just have a look for yourself.hope this helps.

What weight loss program is good for me? -

i am joining a gym soonwhat routine should i stick when working out?i am 14 years old and a have a genetically slow metabolismwhat steps do i need to follow in order to lose alot of weight?and alos what diet should i stick to?

Monday: cardio Tuesday: biceps Wensday: cardio Thursday: triceps Friday: cardio Saturday: stomach Sunday: rest

Youre also going to want to try to eat 5-6 smaller meals per day (once every 2-3 hours) and spread those calories out evenly among them. There are three reasons for eating 5-6 smaller meals instead of 1-3 big meals or just randomly throughout the day. The first is that it will help speed up your metabolism. The second is that eating so frequently will help keep you satisfied and less likely to eat something you shouldnt. The third is that you will be supplying your body with the nutrients it needs consistently throughout the day.

You should have correct info if you want to lose weight. You can tried program that I lost 20 pounds in 5 weeks. It works very well and It will work for you too. You can get more info here http://bit.ly/kshdbci3

Does the weight loss setting on elliptical gym machines really work? -

At the gym I use the EFX? Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer? and I use the weight loss program setting. It asks for my weight and age, and it uses that to determine crossramp and time intervals. My goal is to lose 20 pounds, and i was just wondering if this setting actually works or if there is something that would be better for losing weight? (I can t run because I have a problem with my feet and ankles)

The weight loss mode on any exercise machine merely keeps you in a zone that has you using 65 - 75% of your maximum heart rate. The real weight loss is from expending more calories than you take in.Try fitday.com they have a free on-line calorie and activity log. Really easy to use and helpful. Their full-size program only use to be 29.95 and I find it easy to use. I have no clue what it costs now. I have owned it over 2 years.

well any excersize works better than nothing! lol. But I would have to say yes of course it can t be right on perfect because there are soooo many other things to take into consideration out side of age and current weight, But like I said before it s better than nothing. You should think about seeing a doctor or a physical trainer about how many calories you should eat a day and how many you should burn in order to reach your goal weight in an appropriate time span.

yes, I think you lose more fat this way because when you keep your heart rate at a lower intensity your body does not go into a catabolic state (using muscle cells for energy, more likely at a higher intensity cardio workout). Your body will burn more fat cells this way.

The only way to lose weight is to consume less calories than you expend. One pound of fat is 3500 Calories. A Calorie (note the capital C ) is a kcal, or 1000 calories. Most US food packages are denoted in Calories. You have to adjust your diet so that you are burning more than you consume. If you burn 500 more Calories a day, you d lose 1 lb of fat in a week. Most weight-loss settings on machines are designed to be a little easier. Your goal is to have a lower heart rate, so that your body has a nice steady energy usage. You would use a faster target heart rate to push yourself--ie to improve your wind more quickly, to improve cardiovascular fitness faster, etc.Ideally, with a weight-loss setting, you re fatiguing your body more slowly, and can go for longer. Think of it as a marathon versus a sprint. So, does it work? Well, that depends on your diet, and how long you re doing it. Frankly, in terms of Calorie burn, if you are going to do 30 minutes either way, I d recommend the other programs. Ideally, you should be doing cardio several times a week (best case 5-6 times). Alternate 30 minutes of hard cardio one day with maybe an hour of easier cardio the next. Personally, I find that I prefer to lift weights prior to the 30 minute sprint cardio. The eliptical machines are great for those of us with bad joints. My knees are in bad shape after years of lacrosse, football, and powerlifting. I love it.At the end of the day, just because it says Weight Loss, doesn t mean it will help. You have to combine diet and exercise to achieve you goals. Try working out with weights 4 days a week with 30 minutes of intense cardio, then doing an hour of slower cardio on the remaining 3 days. You ll see impressive results in about 4 weeks, if you eat right.
