1 calorie of fat = 1 calorie of carbs = 1 calorie of protien as far as weight loss is concerned. Foods high in fats or carbs are frowned on by dieters because of the high density of calories in the food. 7 oreos has the same amount of carbs as 7 apples. If you had to choose one as a carb source for a weight loss program you would choose the apples because you would eat far fewer. If you are counting your calories it doesn t matter as long as you eat a good balance of protein, carbs, and fats. But it is easier to eat fewer calories on a fruits and vegetables diet because of the amount you have to eat in comparison to eating pasta or something fried.
well u should make it about 1200 cal. that would make u loose about 2lbs a week...1000 cal is too low, its not healthy, u wanna stay healthy while loosing weight...im going throught the same thing, i wanna lose 30lbs!!!!...its hard to keep ur calories that low every day...ill tell u what i do...breakfast: a peice of fruit and a light fit yogurtsnacks: any 100 calorie packs or tortilla chips salsa or some veggies with low fat ranch diplunch: a small salad w/ low fat dressing a lean cuisinehave a another snackdinner: a regular meal, just make sure its portioned good...dont take seconds...its really easy to go by...i LOVE food, so if i can do it...u can....thats just an example of what i eat all day....and another thing, i dont eat after 7:00!!!!!!GOOD LUCK
1000 calories per day is too low, unless Doctor has you on a special diet. Your body will think it is starving and you won t lose any weight.
you will find that to subsist on 1000 calories a day you will need to need low fat, nutrient rich foods like vegetables and chicken. but there is nothing wrong with having pasta occasionally. it is a simple, refined carb that will turn into sugar quickly so have whole wheat pasta instead. if you can t enjoy your diet, it won t work.
pasta is ok, as long as it is in moderation.. fruits and veggies are stressed in a diet because you can eat a lot of them with a low calorie intake.. this leaves you full yet not taking in a ton of calories.. a good option is whole wheat pasta.. it seems to fill me up more than regular and it is slower to digest which means it doesnt raise your blood sugar levels as high.. this is good if you are on a weight loss diet.
If you re going to eat pasta-use the whole wheat pasta. This also has alot of fiber-which helps fill you up-and studies have shown that people who eat more fiber lose more weight, and keep it off.
