How long to lose weight? -

I m on a weight-loss program, nothing serious yet just exercising and eating healthy etc. Just wondering how long it took you (general public) to lose a considerable amount of weight, if you ever did? And I m talking a good 5 - 10kg, coming off a not too fat person (around 60kg, 162cm)? Thanks!
