You should wake up hungry. Eat small amounts of food often. Don t starve your body or it will slow down your metabolism thinking you re starving. Put your food on a plate and put the rest away. Don t bring extra food to the table. Don t buy food at the store that you know you ll have a hard time staying away from.

You can eat anything you want as long as you exercise enough to burn more calories than you consume. Additionally, celery is known as the negative calorie snack because your body burns more calories in digesting it then you get from eating it because it is basically water-based fiber. Make exercises a part of your daily routine, not just whenever you have the time. Cut out or way back on soda and high calorie drinks that are very high in calories. Eat 4 to 6 smaller meals throughout the day, with healthy snacks in between. Try not to eat after 6pm. Treat yourself one day and month and eat whatever you want with no limits, otherwise, you ll just feel like your torturing yourself. Healthy meals don t have to taste like dirt. I use lot s of herbs, spices and wine in my cooking.

You may want to read a book called Fit Over 40. You can get it at:http://weightloss.the-health-insurance-blog.com . This book has truly made a huge impact on my life.Everybody has their own philosphy on losing weight. Here are several tips that will help you shed that unwanted weight and create a more healthy and attractive figure.Increase ProteinWhen you diet, keep your protein at 55% of your calories. This will help you maintain your muscle mass and keep your metabolism elevated. Eat low-fat protein sources like chicken breasts, egg whites, and fish.Eat 75%When you sit down to eat, look at your plate and leave 25%, eating only 75% and thereby cutting as many as 300 calories from every meal.Lift Some WeightsDo a small 20 minute program of lifting weights twice a week along with cardiovascular exercise to build up muscle strength, replacing fat with muscle.Move Around MoreAn obese person spends an average of 2.5 hours more daily in a chair than a thin person. Try walking back and forth while talking on a cell or cordless phone, use the steps rather than the elevator, and park farther away and walk to your destination.Weigh Yourself MonthlyDon t weigh yourself too often and become discouraged by the up and down variations from day to day. Weigh yourself at the same time every month to better see long term trends in your weight.Buy A PedometerThis is a very accurate way to make sure you take at least 10,000 steps a day to help you reach and maintain your weight loss goals as you walk to do your various errands and activities.Have Your Thyroid TestedIf you are adding weight, have joint and muscle aches, have unusual facial puffiness, or are unusually tired, this could be the sign of a sluggish thyroid slowing down your metabolism, causing weight gain. This can be remedied by taking the right medications.Reduce StressWhen you are stressed, your adrenal gland generates the cortisol stress hormone, which increases your appetite and triggers release of the insulin fat-storing hormone, causing your body to hold onto fat, even if you are eating less. But often, stress makes you overeat comfort foods like chocolate, ice cream, potato chips, cookies and donuts. Those high carbohydrate goodies raise your serotonin levels, boosting your mood in a form of self-medication. Salty snacks raise blood pressure, which also raises cortisol levels, contributing to a vicious cycle of overeating. To break this cycle, you should set a fixed eating schedule and stick to it. Schedule your three meals and three snacks throughout the day so you always have something to eat every three or four hours. Savor every bite instead of gulping down too much before your brain tells you that you are full. Regular exercise and relaxing meditation can also relieve your stress.

Obviously drink plenty of water (at least 8 glasses per day) as it helps balance your metabolism, reduce appetite and help rid water retention. If people tell you dont snack between meals ignore them, as long as you snack appropriately for eg. nuts and fruit. If you have long gaps between meals your blood sugar levels drop thus producing cravings for sweets.Make sure you doing even a little amount of exercise per day. I ve recently just started walking 1/2hour per day and doing roughly 45minutes of pilates. Its going really well.I find the best time to walk is first thing in the morning. During the day you dont even notice that you ve already walked that day.

just do the simple things first, take walks, maybe do crunches between every commerical, eat less, and everything else , self explanitory. slow but steady wins the race, of course unless ur desperate and over motivated, go for the basketball and soccer 3 hours a day, ul c major differences soon.

This one is a lot simpler than most people think. As far as exercise goes, you want to use as many muscles at a time as possible. For cardio, running is the best you can do, period. If you really think about all of the machines out there, that s all they do is make running easier. Most of them are similar, just some variation on the same motion. If your goal is to burn calories, why would you want to make it easier, thus burning less calories? Also, if you are comfortable, then you are probably not pushing hard enough. You have to push yourself harder. You should also do some weight training. Avoid what you see most people doing like arm curls, leg extensions, and stuff like that. Once again, the more muscles involved, the better. try things like push-ups, body-weight squats, pull ups, and whatever else you can find that uses a lot of different body parts. One note, always do weights before cardio. As far nutrition is concerned, think simple. You can try all of the crazy diets in the world, but you still might not lose weight on them. The best way to go is to eat clean , a term used by bodybuilders trying to trim down for a contest. You don t have to get as crazy as they do, but the basics of it is, if it doesn t exist in nature, don t eat it. Apples, carrots, meat, fish, etc. They are all natural foods, and unprocessed. If you look at the trend, people are eating more processed foods, and they are fatter than ever. Coincidence? I doubt it. Also, try to stay away from simple carbs. The easier way to tell is the color. The more color it has, the better it is for you, in most cases. Brown rice is better than white, and potatoes should be limited as well. I am not a professional, but I have studied health and exercise for over 10 years, and have used all of this for my own benefits, with good results. Good luck!

Well its pretty simple. I ve lost 35 pounds in about a month and a half just doing this: eating high protein, moderate carbs, and low fat/non fat foods and excercising. eat about 6 small meals a day. im starting to body build, so i take in a lot of protein (1g/lb of bodyweight) so try to have about .8g of protein. lb of bodyweight. once you calculate that, divide it by 6 (meals) and you ll figure how many grams of protein each meal should have. work about about 4 or 5 times a week. (ex. weightlifting mon, tues, wed, off thurs, cardio fri, off sat, cardio sun) keep it to something like that and i promise you ll see results. anothing is dont take diet supplements. they are a joke and make you feel horrible, i know from experience. other than that, stay strong and keep workin hard!

- Cut out sodas, junk food and fast food entirely!- Replace your ordinary foods w/ healthier ones, for example if you want a snack instead of something like chips have some raw carrots.- Drink plenty of water, especially when excercising and especially w/ meals. Take sips during your meal to become fuller more quickly and chew your food in smaller portions and slower and allot for your stomach cup to shrink.- Do warm-ups/aerobics on a daily or every other day basis.- Walk/Jog/Run every to every other day. Start with a 10-20 minute goal and increase to 30-40 by the next week and so on.- If your not a big fan or plain water, don t sugar it down, but try adding some fresh lemon or lime to give it some zaaz.- Get rest when you can, even though your body is semingly inactive when it sleeps your skin is actually being cleansed as well as your entire system. It s a very big part of the process.- When excercising, don t overdue do it. Believe it or not if your really amped about working out dont try to jog or do aerobics or what not for a prolonged period of time. If your body isnt used to that much it will let you know by the next day and so forth. Start with 10-20 mins every to every other day and gradually increase your time doing your chosen excercise(s) the following week, and so on.- Dieting takes time, patience and stride. Applaud yourself even if you only lose one pound to start, thats one pound you and YOU have worked hard to lose, keep going.- It helps to remove food items that will cause you to binge or lose your goals.- Remember that when you think oh its hopeless or one little bite wont hurt ... think about the pound(s) you ve already shredded.- Dancing is another wonderful outlet for excercise as well as a boost.- Yoga or meditation in general are positively fantastic when losing weight.- The best part about all of the above is you can do it by yourself and at home if you choose.Good luck!! :)
