Although exercise is great it is not necessary. However, an exercise that you can do as suggested by some other posts are sit-ups. Put a ball about the size of a soccer ball behind your back so as you come back to the floor you get extra extension and build more muscle. Breakfast:An egg with whole grain bread or your half cup of oatmeal, millet is also great. Lunch--whole grain bread with almond or cashew butter and a piece of fruit.. or can of sardines in water or tomato sauce--no peanuts as they have mold and a lot of people are really allergic and don t know it. Dinner--salad without dressing--flavor with oregano, cracked pepper, salt (Morton lite salt), crushed red pepper, small amount of nuts...one serving of chicken, fish, turkey, or pork--stay away from deli meats--they re high in salt. Do not drink diet drinks--they actually make you gain weight. Use stevia as a sweetener. Back to dinner. Definitely a vegetable like broccoli, green beans, collard greens, carrots, and small serving of potatoes, sweet potatoes or rice. For twenty-six free pointers on nutritional eating to drop weight go tohttp://dstressdoc.com/Articles/LoseWeighBe healthy and well,Richard K
Losing 20lbs by March 20th is doable but probably not 20lbs of fat. If you just want to get smaller and lose 20lbs of fat muscle you can probably do that, but this won t necessarily make you look better. You are better off to lose as much body FAT as you can rather than lose muscle because you will look leaner. The good news for you is that weight loss is at least 70% diet and at most 30% exercise. Here s what you can do...even with a knee injury (assuming you can walk). Day 1-3: Write down everything you put in your mouth and the serving size. Add up the total calories you eat each day. Now take the average of those 3 days. For example:Day 1: 2,600 caloriesDay 2: 2,300 caloriesDay 3: 2,500 calories The average of these 3 days would be: 2,466Now consume 60% of those calories each day. Since you don t have much physical activity this is okay because your body will still be getting the calories it needs to function properly but your metabolism will still be going pretty strong. This should cut about 10-15lbs off of you in 3 weeks. If you feel you aren t losing weight fast enough you could walk on a treadmill at an incline of say 6-10 and at a nice pace of 3-4mph. Good Luck!If you have any questions just ask.
I also hurt my knee and gained weight. My solution was eating one cup of Dannon Light Fit Yogurt, as well as a NutriGrain bar, every day. I ate everything else that I wanted, and I lost 8 pounds in two weeks. If you did this diet until March, I bet you could lose 20 pounds. (:Also, I did 50 crunches a day. Note: The faster you do crunches, the less you feel them, but they re still effective!
