The key to losing weight is very simple...just eat less and exercise. You should eat a healthy diet with fruits, vegetables and whole grains but portion control is very important Eating 5 small meals a day is good as it keeps your metabolism in gear but it also works if you just eat normally but NOT SO MUCH. Not nearly so hard to do as giving up all the foods you love...just eat less of them.
Drink lots of water and eat 6 SMALL meals a day. Also exercise in the morning that way you get your heart beat going and it will help you burn more calories throughout the day.
Only make changes you know you can live. Make losing weight more fun than putting it on and don t make yourself miserable because you won t stick at it. Finally don t give up (which you won t if you follow the other advice) Good luck
