Avoid the slim fast it has alot of sugar in it, and eat healthy like yogurt and teas without sweetner sounds weired you will lose the weight in no time, keep up the good work, you will soon see results. also avoid any and all sugars. your body depends on the sugar when you are over weight and avoiding the sugars will help you lose the weight.
5 lbs per week is already extremely fast. More than 3 lbs per week is probably not healthy or sustainable, though given your current weight that may scale up a bit to maybe about 5 lbs/week. You have to be patient and consistent. I ve been losing since Mid-Jan, and have lost 50 lbs, which I think is about 2.5-2.75 lbs per week. I m 6 6 , 250, so the 2 lbs per week rule of thumb is probably more like 3 lbs for me. Keep at it, don t get discouraged about the rate, keep track of your progress, set goals etc.
You should probably go on a diet for a week see how far you get and make sure you stay off those soft drinks HFCS (High Fructose Corn Syrup is really bad for you if you really want to loose weight instead of buying those diet pills use it on a personal trainer like me in 2 months I lost about 34 pounds.
