By following a few simple steps you can reduce your calorie intake painlessly and start to lose weight.#1: Eat a large breakfast. Start your day with a large breakfast, followed within 5 hours by a medium sized lunch, and within another five hours a small dinner. The large breakfast also lets your body know that it will be taken care of and avoids turning on the starvation mode. #2: Savor the flavor. The fact is that the first few bites of have the most flavor. Take a moment to savor the first few bites. Getting into the habit of slowing down while you are eating will also help you stop eating when you are full, since your body will have time to send you the full signal. #3: Create a finish line. A finish line is especially important at restaurants where you do not get to chose your portion. The finish line is an imaginary line on your plate that the food cannot cross. You will divide your portions into smaller portions and eat only the food on the one side. If you use step two and savor the flavor you may be surprised to find that you are full even before finishing the divided portions. The finish line when you are at home is two fold. First you will not eat seconds. Secondly, you will only serve yourself a healthy, average sized portion. A healthy portion is considered 4 - 6 ounces of meat and 6 - 8 ounces of vegetables. #4: Take a drink first. Before indulging in a snack stop and drink an eight ounce glass of water, then wait five minutes. You may find that your snack craving is gone by just drinking a glass of water. Plus, the water helps by keeping your body hydrated and by helping you feel full so that if you do snack you will eat less.

Losing weight is a simple mathematical formula: You need to burn more calories than you eat. Experts generally recommend creating a deficit of 500 calories per day through a combination of eating fewer calories and increasing physical activity. Over the course of a week, this should yield a loss of about 1-2 pounds of fat.If you want to lose weight faster, you ll need to eat less and exercise more. Bottom line: 1,050 to 1,200 calories and one hour of exercise a day (but be sure not to dip below this calorie level for safety s sake). On this type of plan, you can expect to lose 3-5 pounds the first week, or more if you weigh over 250 pounds.

What is the best weight loss program? -

i want the program to be safe and effective for women between 35-45 (age)

Curves.

I have had great results with an all natural product called Isagenix. This product is safe and very affective. My entire family including young children have had great results with it.This product is only available by distributor. If you would like more information please email me at bignlild@msn.com

I would suggest a cleansing diet. I did this and lost 12 pounds and 19 inches in 9 days. I continued and lost 29 pounds in a month. I like the program since it works by giving your body nutrition through protein shakes with digestive enzymes and vitamins and then cleansing out the toxins. We get toxins in our bodies from pesticides, preservatives, water, pollution, medications, food additives etc. These toxins enter our bodies and get stored in our fat cells. To shrink the fat, we need to get rid of the toxins through cleansing. The program also has a natural diet pill to help your metabolism and curb cravings. It works and it works fast. My skin has improved from the cleansing. You can get more info at this toll free number 1-877-587-4647. It is pricey but worth it! I think cleansing is really important to health and weight loss. Give it a try and good luck! http://thebestcleansingdiet.com

Selected as a top Web site by Forbes and PC Magazine, eDiets supports dozens of eating plans to help you lose weight, including the Atkins Diet and the Zone Diet. It also has diet plans for those with special health restrictions. Included are peer-group chat rooms and access to personal advice from registered nutritional counselors. Weight Watchers (*est. $17 to $20 to join, $10 to $14 weekly) Best weight loss program.Weight Watchers is the top choice in many reviews, and it has been subjected to the most clinical studies. In-person group meetings and weigh-ins are the cornerstone of the Weight Watchers diet plan. The food plan requires strict calorie management. However, it does not require the purchase of prepackaged food. ? How to lose weight quickly and effectively? -

So all my life I ve been overweight...I m 5 4 and 198 pounds. I work out 3 to 4 times a week ranging from 1-to 4 hours, I play badminton, and take PE early in the morning. I hardly eat too. I mean heaklhy portions of cereal or an organic fruit bar for breakfast, a healthy lunch at home(salad and a sandwich), and I might not even have dinner because I don t get hungry and I don t eat after seven unless its an orange or a banana. I stopped eating too much chocolates and sweets, stopped Starbucks, and stopped drinking sodas and sugary drinks. I need to find SOME way to lose weight because I ve always tried and rarely get results. HELP PLEASE!!!

well keep up the exercise maybe increase the number of days.also, drink lots of water and green tea(boosts up metabolism)

1. Drink water... flood your system with a gallon a day2. No fast food or soda... it sucks but if you want it you have to sacrifice3. 20-30 minutes of intense cardio (interval workouts... look them up)4. Eat breakfast (special K with skim milk) and eat turkey and roast beef for lunch, grilled chicken for dinner (it will get old so get a lot of seasonings and sides5. Lift weights (muscle destroys fat!)6. Do not eat late at night... and make sure you eat a healthy snack like yogurt or fruit a couple times a day7. CONSISTENCY... cant stress thta one enough, do it for 3 weeks and youll be set, NO CHEATING8. Also make sure you take baseline measurements (BMI, body fat %, circumferences, BP, HR, and other measurable criteria). This will help you track progressGood luck and stick with it

i admire ure commitment and ure decision to eat healthier..good for u and congrats!! exercsei is great for u and good job on doing a lot! hmmm, maybe consult ure doctor to help u plan ure diet....what ure doing i great so far!! i suggest eating at least 1500 calories daily MINIMUM though! never go under that!! lots of veggies and fruits..no soda

It sounds like you re doing the right thing...Only, my dad lost 50 pounds in 3 months and everyday he had one of those 190 calorie breakfast squares in the morning, he skipped lunch and went on a 5 mile walk, and for dinner, it was purely vegetarian. This is really hard though and u need a lot of will power and dedication. You will have to follow that plan religiously (though I m sure there s other great ways to lose weight too but this one definitely works)

I swim every day for 60-90 minutes. Is that too much as a part of my weight loss program? -

Im 23 and I weight 80 kilos and Im165 cm tall. For the past two months, Ive been swimming 7 days a week for an hour to 90 minutes, and also Ive been working out with my personal trainer for an hour, 4 times a week. And Ive been on a 1200 to 1400 calorie diet. Im hoping to loose 50 pounds. Im wondering if Im doing too much exercise. Do I swim too much? I don t want to end up with big arms. what do you recommend?

I think it is wonderful that you are working towards a healthy life! I m around your age also and I just think it is so important to be healthy now, then fright when we are older and we don t have the capacity anymore to work hard at getting healthy. I used to exercise 2 hours a day and take in around 1500-2000 calories a day. I would suggest that you take in some more protein during this time - you are a little under what I call healthy calorie intake for a highly active lifestyle. Your calorie count would be find for someone that doesn t do exercise however I would say your body isn t goign to lose as much weight if you don t eat a little more. You have to eat more when you are exercise and training - so that you can lose more. It is strange to say that however studies show that it is true. You have to have energy to use the energy. (If that makes sense.) My rule of thumb is, if I feel good and don t feel tired, then I am fine.I have attached some links that might help you find the appropriate amount of exercise and food intake for your body type. Good Luck with the training and losing weight!

Isn t that a question for your personal trainer ?I would think with everything you are doing, the swimming is an aerobic activity, equivalent to running, which burns close to or just about, the same number of calories as swimming.

It is a matter of what you are comfortable with. It is certainly an excellent way to burn calories, and as long as you can stand doing it, I d say keep it up.

Depends on the intensity of your swimming. If it is recreational swimming, then it s not really doing much good for your weight loss program. If you are swimming in training (aerobic) mode, then it s very beneficial to your weight loss program. HOwever, I suggest you take one day off per week and just concentrate on stretching and range of motion exercises. This gives your body a rest and lets your muscles heal also.About your diet and the intensity of your swimming. I think you should be eating 4-6 times a day to prevent weakness during swimming. Exclude these foods from your diet and replace them with healthier foods:No alcoholno breadno burgersNo candyNo chipsno cornno fried foodsNo pastaNo pizzaNo potatoesNo sodasNo sugarGood Luck

swimming is a wonderful form of exerciseit doesn t give you big armsIt creates lean, sinewy, arms with broader shouldersswimmers have very attractive body formsCongrats on the dedication to get healthier

No, but you might want to up your calories a little bit...complex carbs will help fuel your workout regimen, digest easily and won t put more weight on you.
