Whole milk? skim milk? low-fat milk?? -

What s the difference of all of this??Whats the best milk u will drink if ur in a weight loss program?? r if your dieting??thanks!!

The difference is mainly focus on the percentage of fat in the milk which also affects the amount of calories when same amount of milk was drank.Full cream (fresh) milk has a much higher fat content than the low-fat milk; it has about 4% fat while low fat milk has only half that (2%) and skim or non-fat milk has only 0.1% fat. This means that fresh milk has 60 calories more per cup (190 cal per cup) than low fat milk (130 cal per cup) and 110 cal more more than non-fat milk (80 cal per cup). Well, I guess most people will choose skim milk if they are in a weight loss program.. for me I would choose low-fat milk coz I don t like the taste of the other two types

Skim milk aka fat free is best if you are on a diet. WHole milk has all the fat left in it, low fat has some of the fat taken out and skim aka fat free has all of the fat taken out of it.

The difference is only 1% of fat. So basically none. Your best bet is skim milk if you have to drink it at all.

Cow s milk isn t meant for human consumption. It s also loaded with sugar inherently already in the milk, hence will lead to a predisposition for higher fat storage.

I always drink whole milk. It not so much what we eat, but, how we eat. Followed with having an active lifestyle. Each person does this different. You must find you a Balanced Food Plan that can work for you.I use;http://www.mypyramid.gov/On the left you can click; MyPyramid Plan and work from there. Calories you get for your present weight and activity help maintain that weight. I can drop my weight for a target weight and get an idea of the foods I need daily and plan my meals for the week and go to the store with my list.Say you weigh 130 and it say your calorie need to be 1600 per day. You can drop the weight in the calculator for 120 and may get a 1200-1400 calorie diet. Then you get a food plan for that target weight. You NOT want to drop calories too fast, it not work. Once you reach you Target, if you want, you can do a new Target of 110 and may need 1000-1300 calories a day. Simple and Free and it will work. You eat well balanced meals, have the energy you need and think better. Sometimes it even help a person s complexion. Now, on this link they say a low-fat milk, but, I do whole and can cut some fat elsewhere. I also use real butter and cheese and whipping cream. I just like real food.

You can go with either a 1% or skim milk to lose weight. Just be aware of the calories and fat of both. Your weight loss program should have the appropriate information regarding each typle of milk. Good luck.

The difference between the 3 types is the amount of fat that they contain, whole milk having the most, skim milk having the least. If you are trying to lose weight, or just want to eat a healthier diet, you should drink skim or reduced fat milk. The only people that really should be drinking whole milk(at least from a health standpoint) are people under the age of 4. Young children need a higher fat diet so their brains can properly develop.

If you are looking to drink a low fat content milk I would recommend 2%. It has plenty of flavor left in it so you dont puke, but most of the fat is removed.

Whole milk has a lot of fat in it because the fat is left in it at the dairy to make it creamier. Low fat milk is less fatty because they skim off the fat at he dairy. Soy milk, (my favorite) is actually made from soy beans. Its an alternative if your vegan or dont like milk. It comes in flavors too.

There is a BIG difference.1% means one percent of the milk is fat.2% means two percent of the milk is fat. That means that 2% has TWICE as much fat as 1%.Whole milk is 4% fat. So it has FOUR TIMES as much fat as 1%.Best bet is SKIM milk which has virtually no fat.
