i m 18 and a half, 5 foot 2 and about 135 pounds. i d like to get down to 120-125 pounds by the end of the summer (late august so i have about 8/9 weeks?) and lose one size so my jeans wont be so tight anymore hahai love working out but i can t seem to control my hunger. i ll eat a ton of food, and they go mountain biking for an hour and then do pilates...i ve tried to cut back on food but then it seems like i don t have enough energy to work out at my usual intensity, and i end up just going overbored and pig out again...i have a full time summer job. and it seems like right now lunch is the hardest time of the day to eat healthy portions because i m home for a whole hour...would adding slim fast hunger control shakes or something to replace my lunch make me full enough to lose weight?sorry this is so long. any suggestions on hunger control/weight loss tips...thanks:)

Try to pay attention to your psychological state of mind. We have the tendency to mimic what we did yesterday. It has been programmed in our brains for millions of years. For example, when we were cavesmen, we subconciously remembered how much we ate the day befoe to survive this day. Therefore, the same amount of food would be consumed to survive another day. You can use this principle to trick your body system. In your case, you may want to slowingly curtail the amount of food intake for several days until you reach a realistic level. Then, use that level as a reference and maintain the level from there on. However, it should be emphasized that the level must be realistic. Take an extreme example, if the level drops to a starvation degree, a few days later, you may suddenly reverse your course and end up in a binge. Again, this has been programmed in us since we were cavesmen. In the prehistoric days, when our bodies felt deprived of food and when food was suddenly found, we would subconciously store more food in our bodies to prepare for possible lack of food in the future.
