Krista is full of crap: Some juice but make sure its all natural, because the ones that aren t are loaded with sugar and a leading cause in diabetes in children and adults. BS. Natural juices have sugar also. And there s no proven link between juice and diabetes. Lots of water, 3-4 liters a day, not all at once, but spread it out. Its really easy to down a liter or two while your watching tv or on the computer. More BS. No proof that drinking water is helpful. All this is good for is making you pee a lot. Also drink some after you eat the bigger meals of the day, it helps your body pick out the nutrients in food when your food is more spread apart. WHAT?? This is total crap. There is NO evidence to support this BS. (where does she get this?) Your body does NOT need extra water to pick out nutrients. What an absurd concept. You also need to stay away from any sports drinks unless youve just had a long workout and then you need to limit yourself. Most atheletes mix Gatorade with water because its two [sic] complex for your body to get all the nutrients out of. It needs to be diluted. More crap and BS. The science behind Gatorade has been going on for 30 years and there s NO evidence of any need to dilute it. It works just fine as-is. Again, your body does NOT need extra water to pick out nutrients. Don t take diet advice from uneducated 19 year olds. It s full of myth and folklore, sadly lacking in truth and science.

i have lost 105 pounds it took me 18 months but watch what i ate, and walk, walking is the most important thing in my book. good luck, it is not easy. i did not have gastric surgery , or take diet pills, i lost all the weight on my own

Tons and tons of water. Low calorie meals. Exercise. No alcohol, no sugar drinks.I always had the best luck on low calorie low fat diets, it s easy to incorporate it into your daily lifestyle so that you do not do the yoyo thing. good luck!

it depends how you are looking to lose weight. if youre looking to lose weight, keep it off for life, be healthy, and totaly fit than youre goign to need a life change. if you are just into losing it for about a few months i suggest slimfast, diet pills and all that sutff that causes you to gain it back.if you want lasting success--cut out meat or go veggie meat. white meat and fish is ok. most meat (all animal products really) are becoming more and more unhealthy every year. factory farms use steroids and toxins to rapidly increse the growth rate of animals and we eat those toxins. the toxins are terible for us and clog our systems. bocca burger patties are 70 calories per patty. they contain soy protein which our body just loves and most say it taste better. there are hardly any carbs either. fish is good because it contains omega-3 fatty acids which is good for metabolism. if you cant do the boca burger thing then try to only eat white meats. doing just this will help yor diet and success so much.-dairy. while calcium is excelent for weight loss ( i suggest a calcium vitamin) regular milk is non. if you dont already try skim milk, or silk light soy milk. soy milk has more nutrients and is better for your health. cheese is fatty. again try something dairy free... or buy no fat cheese. non fat cottage chese is excelent. light n fit yogurt is 4 ounces of good yogurt for 60 calories ( twice the sise of yoplait and 110 cals less) 3. veggies veggies veggies. veggies are excedlent for you. a huge plate of them is 100 calories and so many nutrients. try to eat them plain and fresh. spinach svlads are a great choice. 4. there are many types of healthy beans. aduki beans. black beans, calico beans, lima beans, blvck eyed peas, split peas, etc. theres thousands.5. furits are ok. fruits contain lots of carbs. while they arent as bad as carbs as bread... its still hard for your body to break them down. eat veggies more than furits but 1 to 2 fruits a day is good.6. limit breads. pasta, bread, rice all are super high in carbohydrates. if you must eat carbs eat them in the morning so your body has all day to break them down. whole wheat breads and pastas vre the only breads you should eat. brown rice is best. but limit these.7. stay away rom sodas, fruit juice. drink lots of water and tea. most dieticians say stay away from diet sodas because of their high caffiene content. but caffiene revs up your metvbolism so i never stopped drinking them. i drink 9 cans a day haha. but fruit juices non diet sodas and alcohol are pretty much empty calories and those are bad. water is great. drink it ice cold because your body has to work to stabalise the tempurature with your body temp so youre borning lots of calories. plus it flushes you i guess.8. eat throughout the day. eat a big breakfeat a snack (like an apple) 2 hours later. 2 hours after your snak eat lunch. then another snack 2 hours after lunsh. then dinner.9. breakfest and 3 hours before bed. eat breakfeast. its crucial. your metabolism well speeed up so fastwhen you do. youll burn off a lot of the food you eat faster. eating after 7 pm slows your metabolism down. not eating after 7 pm and eating breakfeast (unles you already do this) well cut 3 lbs from your weight in a week alone.10. excersise. cardio and aerboics. try jogging for 20 minutes a day or swimming or biking. buy aerboic tapes and cardio tapes. you need vtleat 90 minutes 3 times a week, or 45 minutes 5 times. if you cant do that much just do as much as you can. also buy toning dvds which tone up your muscles. 11. vitamins. i suggest taking nautral supplements (not diet pills) i take omega 3 fish oil, b-150s, kelp, calcium, biotin, and then a multi vitamin as well. but the only ones which help with metabolism are omega 3, b-150s, kelp, and calcium....dont be afraid tyo cheat here and there. if you dont, your diet well fail. youll try to subside all your cravings and one day just cave. but only cheat here and there. not everyday. reward yourself once a week or so. dont get discouraged my numbers either. some poeple dont lost a lot of weight at first but they lose a lot of inches. its not really what the scale says so much as how you look.good luck and ill be thrilled to help to you anytimeshelbi-hickey@sbcglobal.net

(I like the eliptical)Also, I have limited my bread intake as well, to maybe 1 serving a day if even.My one vice is coffee in the morning, but just down to one cup now, with non dairy cream First, it is mostly not your fault that you need to lose weight. Not so many cakes and donuts and cookies. Basic common sense for eating, you just need to enforce it. Get all the bad stuff out of the house right away, just toss it or give it away while your still motivated. No alcohol and no smoking if that applies. Some juice but make sure its all natural, because the ones that aren t are loaded with sugar and a leading cause in diabetes in children and adults. If you know you cant live without your one treat a day, dont fight it by trying to eat something else, just eat it and make sure thats the only one you cheat on a day. Otherwise youll get depressed and quit. Another important point is getting the right amount of sleep every night. You need 8-9 hours of sleep each night for your body to function correctly. This is an important factor of losing weight. Set up a routine for yourself and go to bed at about the same time each night. As for exercise, lots of cardio. Find something you like. If you have never exercised much before, start with walking 30 minutes a day at a brisk pace. Move on to different terrains that include hills and increase the time spent. After a week or two, try jogging the route. No matter what find an activity you enjoy. Walking to jogging is just an example, try hiking, rollerblading, biking. Once you get into a regular routine, if your not happy with the level of difficulty, try signing up with a gym. Spinning, pilates or kickboxing classes are great. It will also introduce you to working with weights. Talk to a trainer for instruction before using any weights. A cheap investment is a balance ball, it works you stomach while your just sitting on it, like at your computer and its great for posture.
