Weight loss tips? -

I am 16 yrs old 250 lbsIt s May 13 and I need to lose like 100 lbs by June 15thAny suggestions?

100 pounds in let s say about a month. Yes, it is possible but you d lose it in a very unhealthy way and you d gain it back later. So let s scrap that idea, doesn t it sound overwhelming to lose 100 pounds in such a small amount of time. So overwhelming that it feels like you ll never get there and you want to give up?Let s face it, you can t lose 100 pounds in about a month in a healthy way. And when I say healthy, I mean eating fruits and vegetables, staying away from high calorie foods as well as excercising for about 20-30 minutes a day. Healthy weight loss is about 1-2 pounds a week, 3 pounds a week is pushing it but that is alright too. The key to losing weight is to burn more calories then you consumed, of course in one day that is impossible, which is why weight is usually lost weekly and not daily. Losing weight in a small amount of time is not good for you, you ll gain it back. The whole point to losing weight healthy is so that it can STAY off.You say you d like to lose about 100 pounds, so your ideal weight would be about 150 pounds. To calculate your average calorie intake to reach that goal as well as excercise you need to multiply 150 x 11. 150 x 11 is 1650 calories per day. Counting calories is very time consuming so just choose foods that have less calories in them.Look at weight loss in a slow way, instead of rushing yourself into losing 100 pounds take small steps. Say to yourself, My goal in two weeks is to lose 5 pounds. It won t be as overwhelming that way, and you ll most likely lose it.Now for the excercise part of it all. You need to combine both healthy eating and daily excercise in order for this to work. You can t eat all junk food but still excercise, and you can t eat all healthy food and not excercise. It needs to be balanced out. If you don t tend to excercise a whole lot then jumping into a very intense excercise won t do much for you. You ll likely give up because it d just be too hard. Start off with walking 10 minutes a day, it doesn t matter where, just as long as you walk for 10 minutes. Do that for about one week. The next week add 5 minutes, and keep adding on 5 minutes the more you walk. The first time you start, you might get really tired, but don t worry, it gets easier the more you stick with it.Another type of excercise I d like to tell you about is excercise videos. Yes I know, they sounds really lame, but using them I have lost 10 pounds and I intend to lose even more. The best thing that I love about excercise videos is that you can do them at your own pace, it s timed, (so you know you re doing it for the right length) and you can do them in the comfort of your own home. One video I would like to reccomend to you is Leslie Sansone s 30 minute two mile walk. When I first started I only did the one mile, the more I did it, I did the whole video. And it s great!Good luck!

The best and easiest way is to join a fitness challenge...extra movitvation. The Xooma Challenge is a good one: www.thexoomachallenge.comor Body for Life:www.bodyforlife.com

That is unhealthy and unrealistic. Never try to lose more than 3 lbs a week.

1. Become a celebrity and join celebrity fit club2. eat healthy and work out3. eat small meals each day and run 1 mile each dayANYTHING ELSE LIKE DIET PILLS - DONT DO

Lets get serious, enough with the jokes. There is no way your going to lose even 20 pounds by june 15th. If you are 100 pounds overweight, you need to see a doctor. He needs to test your thyroid function. He needs to give you medicine to lose weight. It can be done naturally, but you need to see a doctor, and if you current doctor hasn t talked to you seriously about losing weight and has done nothing to help you without you mentioning it to him, you need a new doctor.
