How to lose weight when you have a bad shin..? -

For the last few months my shin hurts just to walk on it. I got orthodics, i dont feel any changes. It s really upsetting becuase I was finally losing weight and now i ve stopped exercising becuase it hurts to run and such... whats another solution to exercising.

continue to work your upper body with abs, back, and arm workouts. as for your shin it is probably shin splits from working out. make sure you see a chiropractor regularly and wear good everyday shoes. buy different tennie shoes for workouts. Nike Shox took away my shin splints and I am running more than ever. they helped because of the height on the back of the heel. You may need a shoe with more heigh on the back of the heel, OR less height on the back. if you are using a pretty tall shoe now for working out, you could be putting much more strain than needed on the front of your legs. Find a different style of shoe and work up to your workout routine with little pieces of a time. In the meantime..yay crunches...Hope this helped and good luck getting back on your feet! xoxoxo

Sit-ups/crunches, diet

Well if you have a bad shin and it hurts to walk then you need to confront your family doctor or just a doctor about it. But do not try a diet what ever you do because it does not work! It was stop your metabolism and it will just store more fat!

biking would put less pressure

you could work on your upper body strength such as push ups and sit ups. Or if you wanted to spend some money you could buy some dumbbells, but remember always eat well... and if you buy something the money isn t the exercise so if you buy something don t think its over you have to use whatever you buy

Do you have shin splints? You should check into getting physical therapy. I had bad feet, so that led to shin splints, titled out knee caps, hip problems, and other feet problems. i went to physical therapy for 3 weeks and I have been doing so much better. Good Luck, because I dont see many things that you could do to work out with our being in pain. Swimming maybe?

I would recommend biking, its pretty low impact for the legs. I have the same problem with the shins because i have flat feet and it really hurts to run. I started with hitting a heavy bag. Its a good workout.
